Notting Hill Gate is such a weird high street with not that many useful shops remaining. I almost wish I had more reason to visit the Print House than for the odd occasion when I run out of business cards. The level of service even for irregular small order clients like me is impeccable. They keep my details on file which takes the pain out of the whole process. Compare this to the time wasted on the special offers that come in by email every now and again ... I was actually tempted by a recent discount offered by printing.com. I wasted a fair amount of time trying to recreate my rather simple design on their website but failed. You'd have to pay upfront and request a call from an actual designer (design advice comes at a premium) - no chance! As the email actually mentioned a printing shop in Soho in its footer, I popped in on a recent visit to the area - just to be told rather brusquely that they are a printing shop, not a design company. But back to the real world and the Print House. I had to wait a little while for the designer to become available. He immediately found my old file, updated the info and went straight to print. No extra charge for super-fast turnaround or for an actual human being doing his job. He managed to serve several people at once and everyone left happy. The shop perfectly reflects a proper working environment, definitely my preference over impersonal websites and branded shopfronts without the backup. And to top it all, the overall cost beat that of the online 'deal'!

I commissioned KWT to print 100 a4 invitations, which had already been designed. The turnaround was…read morea couple of days, and when I picked up the invites, a quick scan seemed to show that all was in order. However, on returning home, and taking a closer look, I discovered that every single invitation was covered in small yellow marks (on white background), and quickly emailed KWT for a resolution. I found KWT to be highly unresponsive, and had to chase them a few times before they got back to me telling me they'd reprint the invites. When my partner went to pick up the reprints, it was clear that they had not actually read my complaint. Indeed, she told me that she felt "they just didn't want to deal with me". When my partner pointed out that the yellow marks were present on the reprints, she encountered an arrogant, hands-off attitude, with the staff members reluctant to take any responsibility. She left with the assurance that the engineer would have a look at the printer, and that we'd be contacted the next day. We are yet to hear from KWT 1 week later. Though I'm sure that KWT are competent, their customer service leaves a great deal to be desired.

Along Bethnal green road just after T-bar but before Beach Blanket Babylon, a door in the brick buildings on your left. They print everything and anything and if you have an alternative idea they will try to see how they can make it work! I had my final year written portfolio and reports all printed and bound and subsequently use them each week for proposal prints outs and for business cards. They are extremely well priced and good quality. Make sure you take things on a PDF file as it makes it much easier and quicker! Subsequently you can have photographs printed and mounded and t-shirts. The people who work at Metro Colour and extremely efficient and helpful and willing to explain. The Boss Ray has many years experience and can tell you interesting facts about printing 20 years ago!!

This place had really reasonable prices and Douglas was very friendly and helpful from the moment we walked in. He guided us though all our options when it comes to choice of paper, binding and finishing. We had some errors in our file and the only way we could fix them was to reopen the original file. Since this was not a possibility (the file being in an other country) we were offered a work station in their office and guidance as to how we could amend it on the spot. Douglas really went out of his way to make the best possible result for me. These guys really know what service is all about and will do everything they can to satisfy you. This is one of those places where you build relationships and where the customers keep coming back. I would highly recommend this place. Fast. Thorough. Friendly. Professional. Note: The office is situated within a shared building and the only sign is on the doorbell.

I'll add it to my list with "anticlockwise" "fortnight" and "dual carriageway" of words that are curiously long and complex, yet mean something very simple. These printers, erm, reprographicisers were absolutely splendid. Professional, timely, helpful, and creative, they really went out of their way to get my project done quickly and professionally for a very low price. I'd go anticlockwise on a dual carriageway every fortnight for some of their sweet, sweet reprographics.
