The location is super convenient for me, as I'm on the RI/CT line. Upon arrival, I noticed it was located in a strip plaza on Providence Street in Putnam. You cannot miss the sign above the building, but in case you did it's white/black/yellow & says Trend Setters with the lightning bolt in between. It is nestled in between a law firm and Bill's Breakfast. It's also across the street from a "Discount Liquors" store. If you see Key Bank & Putnam Super Market, you went a tad too far. It also has the ubiquitous red white and blue spinning retro barber pole in the window! Along with an Open Sign...! It's a pretty cool spot, with flat screen tbs, mirrors, couches & your typical barber stations. There is a small room with sinks- so maybe they do women's hair as well. They have a nostalgic old school Pepsi Cola cooler too, with affordable drink options! They take walk ins and you can also pre-book appointments too! Everything is pretty straightforward it appears for pricing and they even do discounts for first responders and military (which is amazing by the way)! They also had some arcade machines throughout the salon, which my son was very excited about! He was playing one of his favorite games on one of them! What prompted me to try this place, was I saw some of their reviews on google and they had some really great pictures of haircuts for kids and adults, they had done. My son opted for a typical fade & it came out great! We really liked this place. We will definitely be back! A lot of other places are over charging for a kids haircut- but $25 is a great price point in my opinion!

My stylist was named Brittney and she was absolutely amazing. I have extremely thick & long hair and styling my hair is very time consuming. Brittney was so pleasant and friendly she made time pass extremely quickly. Aside from having a great attitude, she is VERY talented. She transformed my thick hair into a mound of beautiful tight curls...... that not only lasted the ENTIRE NIGHT of dancing and partying but also into the FOLLOWING DAY (this is seriously unheard of. My hair is so thick curls only last a few hours). I do not know what she did but Brittney is truly a miracle worker and I am so thankful I had the opportunity to meet with her. Thank you Brittney for everything!!! I received so many compliments and felt truly beautiful and confident. If I am ever in Sturbridge again, I will be sure to stop by!

Now they don't even have a matching color for the gel manicure to match my toes. My cuticle wasn't soaked nor removed. It was a waste of money. Looks like my Little sister did it at home. Also not cheap $100 for this mediocre job.

I called, and per their answering machine left a detailed message of what I wanted, with a name and phone number. The machine said I'd get a callback within 48 hours. This never happened. I tried other hair salons in the interim, but none had any openings within the next few weeks that were nearby, and unfortunately I don't trust myself with my own dead ends and layering. Even if I did, a stylist could certainly do it better. After a week, I went back to this salon, since it's so close and had a good review. This time, I searched through the stylists and found a time that worked for me, since I didn't mind who it was so long it was after 5pm. I make the appointment, and receive a text that it's awaiting approval..... and then the next day get a text that says the stylist can't do that time, but she can do these other times, which I could not do due to the workday. I think it's great that the stylists are empowered to be able to approve their own appointments! Too often customer service doesn't allow that, and I want to emphasize that the texts I received were polite. I am sure everyone at this salon does good work. But I also think it's fair to say that if your answering machine says you'll call back in 48 hours, you should call back within that timeframe, or adjust it to say a more ambiguous 'call back as soon as we can', and I likewise think that, if an appointment timeslot is not actually available, it shouldn't be listed on the website. It feels like a great disrespect to my time an energy, even if that's not the intent. I ended up going to Hair it is in Lincoln RI. It's farther, but I had a good experience.
