We found this place on Yelp. The food quality deserves about four stars, as we ordered the carnitas plate. However, it lacked guacamole! which is typically included with most carnitas plates. Wow, this place exceeded my expectations! We were driving home to LA and stopped in Barstow to charge the car. We were skeptical at first due to the strip mall location, but as soon as we walked inside there is a really warm, clean, cheerful ambience. The restaurant is well loved, super clean including the bathrooms. The food-wow wow-we had the enchiladas-they were super delicious, you can feel the love in the food. I had the enchiladas verde with chicken. There was a lot of delicious, moist chicken stuffed in the tortillas. We loved the Totopos (nacho chips) they served us while we waited for our dish. Thick and homemade just like you will find in Mexico. The staff are very friendly, you can hear them singing in the kitchen. You can definitely feel the good vibes here. Stopped here on the way back from Vegas. I had a couple of veggie tacos, not on the menu, but they made them perfectly. my wife had the ground beef taco and a chicken taco. Chicken was very nice not overly seasoned not salty, and therefore blended well with the rest of the taco and the pico de gallo. I've been to Lola's Kitchen several times on my trips through the area. Lola's is a great place to get Mexican food. It's right off the 15 and super convenient if you're passing through. Service is friendly and prompt and the food tastes fantastic. They serve all the traditional Mexican dishes we expect in SoCal; since I am trying to maintain a plant-based diet, the server suggested the Chile Relleno which was very good. When traveling to and from Las Vegas off interstate 15 in Barstow you can pull into this gem of a eatery and enjoy exceptional food that has never disappointed. The staff is friendly and make you feel welcome. The establishment is clean and (old school) staff wear uniforms and hair nets (sanitary)!!!!!!! I'm in LOVE with Lola's. The kind way you're greeted, to the clean modern decor & clean bathrooms only enhances how good the food is! I'm thankful I posted a review last time I was here so I was reminded how good it is. It's the real deal, whatever you order you will be so happy with the generous portion and quality for food as well as customer service. While we were there a woman ordered something and when she got it realized she couldn't eat something on the plate, they remade her whole meal without question. We ordered a bean tostada and two ground beef tacos. They were both very good. Restaurant and bathroom are very clean. Would eat here again, especially on the way to Las Vegas. Tried stopping here a year ago but it was so busy....this year we missed the dinner rush and were seated promptly. After reading all the reviews I expected to have a 5 star experience - my husband did but mine was more Of a 3 star (hence the 4 star review) Pros: quaint, quick service, clean remodeled bathrooms and excellent enchiladas (the no2 salsa verde were great my husband says) and price is great. Cons: apparently I ordered wrong as I got the crispy tacos (chicken and carnitas) & chicken quesadilla for the kids and the chicken & carnitas were extremely dry, the salsa given with the chips is extremely hot so we ordered the pico de Gallo that was underwhelming. I was a bit disappointed but my husband loved the enchiladas and people love the burritos so next time we'll have to order differently! Also, wish they carried horchata as we were craving it! read more

Grabbed a California burrito with carnitas on the way home from visiting family in AZ. I had a sudden hankering for mexican food that would not be satisfied by nasty fast food/drive-thru fare. After looking for good burrito places, I happened upon Lola's. They did not disappoint!! This was hands down the best California burrito I have ever had and I libe in LA so, needless to say, I have had quite a few. The meat was perfect, the fries were super crispy still, even after being wrapped up in the burrito for ten minutes, and the salsa was good too! Not quite as spicy as I'd hoped but still packed with flavour! If I pass through Barstow again in the future I will definitely pop in again! Great prices too! Great little Mexican restaurant! We came here because there was a wait at Los Domingo's and were so glad we did. Even though we came near closing, they were very welcoming. As we approached the dark strip mall we were a little nervous but it's so cute inside. Everything came out pretty quickly. The food tasted very fresh and not greasy. I had the sope and the masa was tender and crisp. It had the perfect amount of toppings. My daughter had the California burrito and it was huge! It came with French fries wrapped inside and was an novel idea for a burrito. The Chile they served with the chips were very good but it can burn your lips off if you're not careful. read more

Food it's delicious, and plates are full, costumer service it's ok... But when while eating you notice HAIRS (a lot of them) on the table that aren't yours lol it makes you regret going in. I saw when the customers on the table next to us left, the waitress picked up the dirty plates but guess what? No, she didn't clean the table after them. This is a solid Mexican restaurant! Highly recommended if craving for a non-fast food place in Barstow. I had a combo plate of chicken enchilada and chile relleno with rice and beans. Absolutely delicious! Very clean and cute ambiance! Fast, efficient and friendly service. I had the sausage breakfast burrito. Their hot sauce is addictive. We will most definitely be coming back! If Lola's didn't have any Yelp reviews I would probably hesitate to leave one so as not to ruin it - but this place is no secret. And It's no secret that the salsa is one of the best salsas I've ever had - wow, I want to know what kind of magic is in that sauce but I'll be happy to leave it to Lola's. The kind soul who took my order made me feel immediately at home which was an unexpected and cool situation. I had the chicken enchiladas which were delicious but that red sauce kept calling my name. The beans and rice were done right. Next time I'll have the Chile Colorado and take something else to go. This little restaurant is a great place to stop for a meal! Driving to/from Las Vegas and always stop in Barstow for a bite to eat. If you don't want the usual fast food restaurants, turn on to Main Street in Barstow. Conveniently close to the freeway. Located in an old shopping center with a large parking lot. Their hours of operation surprised us. They open at 4 am Monday-Saturday. Closed Sundays. The staff are really nice! Food is delicious. Good quantity at a good price. We ordered a Chile relleno & cheese enchilada combo and a California burrito. Super delicious! So good, we forgot to take pictures before gobbling everything down. Will have to add food pictures next time we are there. Highly recommend! You must try this place if you love authentic Mexican food! read more

This has become our go to treat on the way to Vegas or Havasu. A little gem away from the hustle of the Lenwood exit. With 100% much better food!! We have been here twice now for the breakfast chorizo burrito and it's SO good. Spicy and cheesy and their salsa is delicious. The workers are so nice and friendly. You instantly feel welcome. You can tell they have regulars but they are just as friendly to those stopping by. It's cute inside with a clean bathroom. Just stopped at Lola's Kitchen with my 3 girlfriends on a roadtrip from LA to Vegas. Will absolutely stop here again! There was plenty of parking. The inside isn't huge, but only a couple of tables were occupied when we got there for a late lunch at 2:30 on a Friday. The women working there were super nice. The food was DELICIOUS, and it came out super quick. Our group got a carne asada taco, beef tostadas, the cheese quesadilla combo, and the ground beef burrito. The salsas were crazy good. I had only ever stopped at the big Barstow Station that's right off the freeway on previous trips. Never again! This place is a little further off the freeway, but beyond worth the extra 5 minute drive. Barstow Station is always so crowded and hectic. We were in and out of Lola's in 35 minutes.
