Never knew there were so many LOLA shops right near each other. I've been to the Ghirardelli Square location before and had a good experience, but I was glad to run into this particular store at Pier 39 this past weekend, as I liked the atmosphere and variety of offerings much more. It's located on the pier (Unit E-1), right next to the Magic Shop, an ideal fit for this touristy area. (Yelp seems to be just as confused by the different locations, and is currently grouping mutiple store locations together in one listing). LOLA at Pier 39 offers lots of unique knickknacks and gift items, weird stuff, clever quotes on apparel and in books, and of course souvenirs galore, especially for the SF tourist. The staff was welcoming, friendly, and efficient with the service at the counter when purchasing my items here this past weekend. It's certainly not too early for christmas shopping, and they offer some cute stuff for kids and babies here. I took advantage of the Pokemon variety for the nieces and nephews. LOLA is known for their greeting cards too, so of course I also picked up a funny rabbit-themed card before leaving.

Cute shop of curios, gifts. Was on the lookout for a simple possibly cute drawstring bag to keep my iPad, iPhone, wallet & lip gloss as I was told that my tote bag looked like a homeless... So now I will just look kooky using the only bag of its kind, a black cat drawstring bag I found at this shop for 25.+. Looks kid size. There were some novel items for kids too. Saw some adult pouches, tote bags, that use pardon my Language words or slogans... Saw s really cute bag with big eyed kitties on it... It was close enough to our hotel to come browse again but...the call of nature hastened me on... The sales person was friendly. She asked where we were from.

    Favorite find... loved these posters/cards.

Of all the shops inside Ghirardelli Square - this one was my favorite. It's full of so many pretty and fun and quirky and unique things I wish I had a deep enough wallet to get them all! Granted, prices weren't all that crazy for a giftshop in this area. And there was a ton of colorful kids gear. So if you're shopping for little ones - this might be a good place to check out.

This is my kind of store! Cute little San Franciscan souvenir shop in Ghirardelli Square! I will definitely do a lot of Christmas and Birthday present shopping here in the future. It's perfect for finding unique gifts that you don't see in department stores. They have a wonderful collection of cute books, colorful cards and stationary, cute little knick-knacks for all ages, etc. I really loved the SF appeal of it all - from your typical San Francisco postcards and magnets, to Larry the Seal plushes and books, to San Francisco Hello Kitty playing cards and pens.... this store is definitely "I Heart SF!" They also have a pretty entertaining selection of cards and random things, such as a Boo the dog plushie. PROS -Support local shops! -Right now they are having a 50% off all Christmas/holiday items as well as 2014 calendars! -Fun family friendly store - there is a little something for everyone!

Cute family-owned shop conveniently located in North Beach. I always stop by whenever I'm in the city (once per year) to pick up new postcards or SF-themed souvenirs for friends and family. I've always been warmly greeted by staff, & will continue to support small businesses like this!

This is a GREAT little store! The funny baby T-'s in the store is what sucked us in, but after one look to the left of all the cute 80's trinkets, Star Wars memorabilia, baby gadgets, cards, animal faced lunch boxes, and other "OH-MY-GAWD-I-HAVE-TO-HAVE-THIS-HELLO-KITTY-BLINGED-OUT-PEZ-DISPENSER" do hickey items as such, it's no wonder the line to check out was full of tourist and locals alike. Left the store with gifts for many people except myself. Filled with all sorts of cool, unique, randomness items that everyone from your newborn baby nephew to your old dirty Grams will love.

I was surprised to see a reading room there--it looked cozy but I hadn't planned on settling in and reading. I loved the cartoons they showed on a loop. It was clean, well organized, and had a bathrooom and water station. I'm only knocking off a point because the front desk was blaring pop music (from a cell phone maybe?) and it was interrupting the vibes.
