I was in a bit of a rush today so I didn't appreciate waiting 25 minutes after my appointment to get a blowout which I could of used to run other errands. Once I sat down I explained that I would like a lot of volume on the top, this shouldn't of been a problem because I have thick hair and volume is attainable with the right blowout techniques. My hair ended up being really flat on top which defeated the point of me getting it done at a salon to begin with. Overall sweet stylist but an average blow out experience. read more

I tried to avoid writing this review but now find it necessary to voice my disappointment with this salon. I was recommended to this salon by the local "Cranford Moms" Facebook page while looking for a place to take my one year old for his first haircut; a specific beautician was recommended and said to do very well with children. I took my son for his first haircut which was great. We did have to wait a while for her to finish up with a client but I decided it wasn't a big deal since his hair came out good. My son was amazed and in awe, looking around at the various people and blow dryers suspended from the ceiling. His haircut came out great and the woman even said it was free of charge due to it being his first cut. When the time came I scheduled another cut for my son with the same beautician. Again, we did have to wait but no major complaints with this experience. The haircut came out great again. A few weeks later I returned and treated myself to a cut and highlights (well over $300). My hair came out nice, not the best cut I've ever gotten but I was satisfied. My son's third haircut is where I take MAJOR issue with this salon. I made an appointment weeks in advance for a 12:30 appointment (have to plan around naps with a little one). The day of the appointment upon arrival the receptionist said that the beautician he was scheduled with was running one and a half hours behind. She was in the process of coloring a woman's hair. The receptionist gave the option of coming back in an hour and a half or having the owner cut his hair. Coming back was not an option so it was agreed that the owner would just do it. First I must say that it is HORRIBLE customer service to even put a client in the situation outlined above. Clearly either someone scheduled wrong or the other client was taken despite my son having an appointment. Regardless of the reasoning the salon should have called me as soon as the situation arose to tell me that the appointment would not be accommodated. The owner cut my son's hair and I must say that she BUTCHERED it. This was several months ago and I'm still waiting for a section of his hair to grow even with the rest. Not only did he end up with a "mushroom cut" but it wasn't even cut evenly. Mind you he does not move around a lot, cry, etc and actually enjoys getting his hair cut. Another example of their HORRIBLE customer service is that not once did the beautician that he was scheduled with come over to apologize for the mix up or even attempt to talk to us about it. Instead she just carried on with the client that she was tending to throughout our appointment time. To top it all off not only did the owner do an absolutely horrible job but she also charged $10 more than the other woman does... Does she not know her own salon's pricing? I was left with a sour taste in my mouth and was extremely disappointed in the poor customer service as well as my son's hair being ruined. I've waited several weeks to try and let it grow out but of course he needs a trim. While I was really disappointed in our last experience there in a weak moment I decided that I was going to bring him back as long as the original beautician would be doing his cut because in all honesty she did a good job. No one could believe that I would give this establishment my business again but I swallowed my pride and called (on a Tuesday during business hours). I reached their answering machine which confirmed that I was calling during business hours and encouraged clients to leave a message. I did just that and left a message requesting a return call to schedule an appointment. Well that was two weeks ago and I have yet to get a call back. Today I took my son to a different salon also recommended by others in town and his haircut looks just as good if not better than the cut he got from the beautician at Lola's. They also asked me if I tried to cut his hair at home and pointed out the section that was totally butchered by the owner of Lola's. it's great to have a place that knows you, and doesn't even have to ask you what you want. "same as usual" is what i hear when i walk into Lola Salon. The owner is friendly, and the space is very modern and clean, and the location is within walking distance of my office. Can't ask for anything more. read more

I got highlights and lowlights. I have long hair. It took 4 1/2 hours for color alone so I skipped the cut, blow dry and styling. Some highlights got way too light. I am getting my color fixed today at a different salon. read more

I had a really great experience at Lola with Gosia. It was actually the first time in my life that I got keratin treatment that lasted the promised 6 months (and then some). I also loved the haircut I got after the treatment (we waited after the treatment to see assess the new texture of my hair). Both were done by Gosia who was very knowledgeable and pleasant. She recommended shampoos to use after the treatment which also worked great. I already booked my next appointment. read more

I'm new to the area and wanted to get my hair done after this long quarantine. The first two pictures is what I wanted again. The last pic is what I got I wanted a light bayalage to my hair and I wanted something minimal that compliments my dark hair. I know my hair is dark so when bleached it pulls orange. I know this. That's is why I wanted minimal. She gave me a ombré with ALOT of saturation on the bottom and of course it's orange. I go back because I didn't like it and I just told her if she could darken some pieces especially at the bottom to break up the bottom because it was so heavily saturated. She said sure but she would have to charge me for a blow out, I said no worries I'll blow it out when I get home I just need the color fixed. I went in and my hair not only looks exactly the same as the first time she did it so no fix at all she wanted to blow out a strand so I could see the color I said yeah sure. She proceeded with blow drying half my hair and goes okay, there's no need to check you out, did you park in the back? I was so stunned that she was really not going to finish my hair !??! she really let me leave with HALF my hair blown out and half soaking wet!? What kind shit is that? I knew I had to pay for a blow out but to my understanding you just wanted to blow dry a strand, not half my hair!? So when I saw her doing more of my hair I was thinking maybe she wants me to see the whole head, which I would do if I was hair dresser to keep a new client but she stoped after half. Why would you start a blow out and not finish it??? I said earlier I didn't want one I could have done it at home but if you wanted me to see the color I get it, just finish the blow out to keep the client. Never going back just on the customer service and the terrible color job just tops it off. read more

Came here to get my hair colored and after asking around in others salons I came here cause they offered an affordable price and a friend recommended them to me. The color I was trying to get was silver. I showed photos of what I was aiming for and the stylist said could take more than one sitting, as my original hair color is dark and I had highlights. Okay no problem, I understand and still two sittings would be cheaper than going elsewhere. First time it was a light blonde. Came back second time and it got lighter, but was still a blonde, and said that one more sitting should do the trick. I understood and upon making my third appointment I stressed that this time it has to be silver. The stylist took her time and was attentive and said she was using the strongest products. At the end of this my hair came out white/silver and violet...... My friend came in and was honest and said it looked terrible and that was not what I wanted. We asked if there was anything she can do about the violet. She started to wash out the violet, and at this point the owner started to get involved saying her opinion of what to do about the violet. The violet was washed out but in the end it still wasn't really the result I was looking for, especially after three sittings. I don't have a problem with the stylist she did her best and was attentive and nice, but my problem was with the owner when she tried to explain that what I was looking for wasn't possible and all the photos I showed her she said they are either photoshopped that way and EVERY photo she saw it wasn't silver and it was an "ash blonde". Would be the same thing if I went in asked for ginger and she told me you can't have that but you can have strawberry blonde. Just a little disappointed how the whole situation was handled. Nothing was offered, the owners attitude and lack of the opinion that "the customer is always right" bothered me and drove me to write this review. read more

I had a great experience at this hair salon. I met with Colleen and she did an amazing job. I got what I wanted and more. I have visited so many hair salons to try to lighten my hair and do the style I ask for. I end up not happy with their work or they always give me a hard time telling me my hair is too dark and so forth. But Colleen worked with me and in the end did an amazing job. I Love Love Love the color and cut. My hair is on the lighter brown side that I've been wanting. I also felt relaxed to do the point I almost took a nap while I waited for the color to set in lol.
