Thank you LoHo Gourmet Deli for ruining all chopped cheeses for me. After trying my first ever chopped cheese this afternoon the bar was set so high I wonder if it will ever be exceeded. It's hard to say something is perfect, but everything about this amazing sandwich was just that. The seasoning in the beef, just the right amount of cheese and topping on the most perfectly executed roll. I'm already craving it again. I'm betting the rest of your menu is worth checking out but I'm afraid I'll have to come here a few more times to move off that chopped cheese. Every New Yorker has their go-to bodega, and well, this is the one I frequent because of the proximity of it to my work and home. They carry a wide selection of everything. So, if at 6am, you need a bottle of iced coffee, you can find it here. Or it is 3am, and you need drunk food, they will happily make you a sandwich to sop up the alcohol. Wide selection of snacks, including Pita Chips, seaweed snacks, lentil chips, popcorn, and all your favorite gourmet snacks! This deli is a bit high end as compared to the bodega right across the street, so be prepared to drop a pretty penny for the convenience and high end items they carry here. The daytime cashier is always friendly to me, he is originally from Yemen and studied in China, so he's always practicing Chinese with me and well I am always trying to practice my Arabic with him. I live in the neighborhood so I always buy my sandwiches there. They have the best chopped cheese, nobody else offers. They also make the best all natural juices but my favorite is the green juice. It has ginger, lime and some sort of herb, but it is one of the most popular items to get. I really like their food. read more

Doesn't look like much when you walk by it, but the best decision we did to walk in. The Philly cheesesteak was the best I've tried and the chicken pesto panini was . The man behind the deli counter was super friendly and made sure that "I had the best omelette ever." I have to say he did not disappoint. Let me start off with all these reviews are lies ! Somebody in that store can't read. This is my second time ordering from this place and the food was fucked up AGAIN . The first time I let it slide and focused myself to eat the food because I don't want to waste my money. But this time HELL NO ! No lettuce, tomatoes, salt, nor a sprinkle of pepper. The sandwich was OK. My friend ordered a salad. She spent $10 on the salad n had to throw it away. She said the spinach was chewy. The salad dressing was watery. My friend is greedy, so if she refused a meal u know it had to be bad. I have been going to this deli for a few months ever since I started working in the area and it is my main go-to place for the variety, tastiness and pricing of dishes, as well as the helpfulness and friendly nature of the owner (Jimmy) and staff (Ali, Saif, Mujahadith (sic) and one other person whose name I don't know) . This area can be a dead zone when it comes to getting a choice of lunch items fast and economically. I accidentally discovered this place because it had a good store front presence. Once I went inside I was very pleasantly surprised at the cleanliness and well organized nature of this establishment. This was a good sign for me. It is clear the owner Jimmy takes pride in his establishment and respects his customers. I am a very finicky eater when it comes to food establishments and this place fits the bill for me in this category. There are a few items that are my favorites 1) the Grilled Chicken Cutlet, 2) Halal Chicken/Lamb/Rice, 3) Homemade New England Clam Chowder w/Shrimp and 4) Cream of Tomato Soup. Of note, the Chicken Cutlet is seasoned at the deli which accounts for its outstanding flavor and taste compared to the freeze dried variety you will find at other places. I'm not a big tomato soup fan, but I quickly became a fan of Jimmy's homemade Cream of Tomato Soup. He gave me a sample to taste and I quickly added it to my recurring items to get. Same goes for the NE Clam Chowder with a twist of potatoes, corn and succulent tiny shrimps. Both soups warmed me to my bones for the past few cold weeks we have had here. The Halal food is tasty and plentiful. I only usually only eat half of it. These items are inexpensive and are all under $6 and include a bottle of water or can of soda. At other Manhattan places these items would clearly cost you closer to $10. The owner Jimmy is a very friendly guy and definitely aims to please his customers. He appears be constantly experimenting and creating fresh new menu items. If there is one thing I can think of that makes LoHo Deli's food tasty, it's clear that keeping things fresh and simple is Jimmy's recipe for success. Highly recommended... read more

My favorite spot for several years now. Every morning I stop and get my breakfast before heading to work and I can't leave without my fresh made green juice it's awesome and refreshing. Hello, I go to Loho Deli on a weekly basis. They have great sandwiches, Salads, Soup's etc. Salad's are great and affordable as well as the sandwiches. They also have some delicious Hallal food!
