This place has been around for 8 years but I swear it's always closed when I walk by. Well today it wasn't!!! 2:30 on a Thursday, they were open. We headed in to see what they're about. They had quite a lineup for tasting. And the samples are free! I enjoyed their orange blossom sweet tea vodka. The orange blossom makes it a little different than the usual sweet tea vodkas. On the menu, they have a John Daly cocktail. As a golfer and a fan of golf, I was destined to enjoy this cocktail. And their prices! Talk about a bargain! My drink was only $7.99. We had a few more samples and then I spied their seasonal frozen drink. It's a spiked "hot" cocoa! That frozen drink was so good. You could not detect the vodka in it but I'm sure it would kick in. I just had a sip of my husband's. So good. The store is super cute. They were busy decorating the place with Christmas stuff- even though Christmas is literally around the corner! Haha. A bit late but much appreciated. They have quite a bit of merchandise. Some is loggerhead and some is just cute gift type- for example- their tea towels are funny! I grabbed two for Christmas gifts. They have shirts, coffee mugs and tons of bar glassware. You can even buy bottles of their spirits. The place is a bit small. There's a Large table that seats about ten people and then standing room. You can see right into their distillery from the windows. Their spirits are offered at a few local restaurants, including The district, which is next door. Parking is along the street. The little lot across from them is gone- it's undergoing construction to be some retail building. Definitely stop by when you're in the area. Have a free taste, get a cocktail and pick up some gifts. Loggerhead Distillery is so cute. We stopped in while participating in the mini masters in downtown Sanford. The employees were very helpful and let me sample the rum and vodka. FYI the rum is Keto Friendly, which I have never seen before. I got a Rosey the blonde cocktail which was very good. I will definitely be back to buy a bottle of rum! read more

What's. Fabulous little gem in Sanford! We were greeted warmly and encouraged to try the spirits. We tried many of the products, maybe everything between the four of us, and left with arms full of new spirits to enjoy at home! The standout for many of us was the sweet tea vodka. It was so smooth and balanced you could easily drink it on its own. However be warned that could cause a rather awesome afternoon! read more

Kisma, & accident, or maybe the monsoon rain storm that we encountered, & were not prepared for, but we were meant to go there and meet the weekend host! The place is clean and beautiful, with a variety of souvenirs you can take home or gift! We were there by accident, and so happy we discovered this place and a new friend! When you first walk in it's very small and looks like it may just be a merchandise shop, but in the corner is a small bar for tastings. Naturally we had to try it. The bartender was so friendly and helpful so we decided to try everything. They have a wide selection of whiskey/bourbon, vodka, rums, moonshine, and gin so if you're going in to taste everything you will get a good buzz before you leave. We fell in love with the sweet tea vodka. It is absolutely spectacular. We liked it so much that the bartender made us a cocktail using it. We bought a bottle for pool sipping for the summer. Can't wait to go sit out at the pool now! Overall, this place was wonderful, with high quality products worth checking out. We heard in social media about the Loggerhead Cocktail Crawl that is going on for the month of November (some venues will offer a cocktail using Loggerhead's spirits) and decided to give it a try. We did not know what to expect and once we walked in, were were greeted by a nice lady that asked us if we wanted to do a tasting. That was a pleasant surprise and we did try it and it was fun! The gentleman that did the tasting was knowledgeable and he told us that the distillery is locally owned and that they do tours, pretty cool to know. We tasted bourbon, vodka, gin, moonshine and rum. My BIL really liked the Apple Pie Moonshine and the Sweet Tea Vodka so he bought some! Thanks for the nice experience! read more

This was our first visit to a distillery in Sanford, FL and during this trip. We walked in and told the the lady behind the bar that we wanted to sample. We were able to sample everything which I believe at no cost. Everything I tried was good to not bad. My favorite was the single malt. I purchased a bottle to go. It was $40 for 375 ml but a good tasty bottle. We were able to order a mix drink, which I do not remember what I got but it was good. They have limited seating arrangements inside. They do have some seating outside I believe, if not I'd recommend doing so. As for using the restroom it's in the distillery. It gave me a small moment to capture what type of still that they are using and capture the different barrels that they are aging spirits currently. I'm a home winemaker, I was impressed that the older bottle filler is what I have and use for my wine bottling. Overall good experience here. read more

My favorites have been the jalapeño lime vodka (great for bloody Mary's, I just wish they had it more often!) and the key lime gin (perfect for gin and tonics!). We have stopped in here many times! There are 4-5 barstools - so it's a small, quaint setting. The owners are wonderful and carry a good conversation while pouring samples of their products. I love that they have two types of gin. The bourbon is smooth. The flavored moonshines are always a hit! They make a great cocktail at a much cheaper price than the surrounding bars. The Old Fashioneds are great! They also have tiny bottles of their spirits which make great gifts! Always looking forward to the next visit! read more

I am flabbergasted that I have yet to review this place, as I have been several times (a healthy amount, I don't think I need an intervention yet) and I LOVE it. Firstly, the owners and staff are all super friendly and very eager to help you find a drink you will love. You can sample all of the boozes there in the cute little shop, and every single item they make is top-notch. I am not even a big fan of vodkas and gins, yet theirs is amazing. I especially love their apple pie moonshine and their bourbon. They have an assortment of cool souvenirs you can purchase as well. I visited Loggerhead Distillery in Sanford, FL on Saturday. You can sample the alcohol here in the retail store. They were sold out of the apple pie moonshine I wanted. But they had regular moonshine, vodka and sweet tea vodka available. I'll have to return when they have the apple pie moonshine again. I did buy a bottle of vodka. I've been wanting to check out some local distilleries. My favorite local gin is from St. Augustine Distillery since it has an orange flavor. Next on my list to try are Winter Park Distillery in Winter Park, FL and Sugar Works Distillery in New Smyrna Beach, FL. read more

This is the cutest little place we stumbled upon whole figuring out where to eat after the original planned restaurant was too busy. It looks they've won many awards, they have free tastings, and so many yummy drinks. I did a watermelon limeade and hubs tried the rum punch which he said he could drink all night. I have only been here to purchase their liquor by the bottle, not enjoy their in-house cocktails. But they are always letting you sample anything you wish, and all the products I have tried so far have been pretty appealing. I have tried the Vodka, Sweet Tea Vodka, Watermelon Moonshine, Apple Pie Moonshine, and White Rum. I would get every one of these products again, and in many cases, already have. There are plenty of cocktail ideas they have around the store, and locally they do a Pub Crawl every year featuring their products at a number of downtown bars. read more

It's run by very friendly people who welcomed us in, gave us some samples of their tasty products, information about how it was made, and a nice your of their well-arranged facility.
