Logan Square is smack dab in the middle of the art museum district that includes the Rodin Museum, Franklin Institute, Philadelphia Museum of Art (Rocky Steps) and it's right across the street from the Academy of Natural Sciences. Logan Square is one of many block sized sitting parks in Philly but this one is distinct because of the busy traffic circle that surrounds it and the iconic fountain in the center. The fountain in the center (when turned on) is absolutely gorgeous. Large mermaid and fish looking people surround the fountain with smaller frogs and turtles also shooting water out in a nice display. There are several signs saying no swimming but those Philly rebels ignore those signs and consider them suggestions. There is also a statue of Shakespeare in the square and WWI sculpture as well. It's a nice place to take a break from all the culture from the museums nearby. Definitely worth a stop in the area. I was lucky to pass through on a hot day while strolling along Benjamin Franklin Parkway. The Swann Memorial Fountain is another Instagrammable place in Philly. Such a beautiful fountain, one of the best I've ever seen. I'm not really sure what the frogs and other spouting creatures represent, but it added quite a character to it. A lot of people were chilling there, and I didn't see any homeless (unlike some of the reviewers). But either way, I think it's a great park. read more

I was incredibly nervous parking in Philly especially because I didn't want to go to a garage that had vallet service. We parked in this garage overnight and it had so many parking spots available. Overnight pricing was a little pricy but I'm assuming that's how the city is all around. read more

You know what I love about Logan Square? Everything is within walking distance. From the Franklin Institute of Science to the Cathedral Basilica. Everything is there. I love that all the museum buildings and other points of interest are close to each other. They even have big maps posted around the square. I took a picture of one of the maps with my digital camera and used it as a guide. I visit Philadelphia often, so I'm glad this place is close to our hotel. read more

Planned a trip to Academy of Natural Sciences with the kids. Searched parking apps for Friday 8 hours parking. This popped up one block away and $9 only for 8 hours on iParkit App. $5 off with discount code YELP. I ended up paying $4 which is an unbelievable awesome deal. According to the parking rate posted at the garage entrance, I should d paying $36. Other parking app is $10 and no code. Just scan the QR code the app sent you after purchase. You have to scan the same code in and out. It did say extra charge if leave late or arrive early. We got good parking and walked 1/2 a block to enter the back door of Museum. They have elevators. Multi floors covered parking garage. It posted a sign stating no human cashier. You pay via machine. I didn't see a staff at all in sight. read more

As we continued our Friday afternoon/evening walk around the city... the next place we stopped was Logan Square Park. To begin in Philly, I wanted to see if it was always Sunny(See It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia). I know I know... locals are probably rolling their eyes at me right now. To add to the sunny was this park. The opening theme music for Sunny has a shot of this park so naturally I had to visit this park at some point. This park is beautiful. There's not much to it and that's why I like it. It has a fountain, several benches, a few trees, and some history. It's one of the original 5 squares that started Philly. The others being Franklin, Rittenhouse, and Washington. The fifth one is where city hall is now... also amazing. Other reviews complain of the homeless. We didn't have that issue around the 6-7ish PM timeframe. I expected slim to moderate panhandlers while being in Philly. We weren't bothered at all. There was a time or two where we were asked for money but those folks were asking as we walked by. They didn't leave their bench or anything. If you want a starting point for your Philly trip then visit Logan Square Park. There are so many museums close by... take your pick. read more

Never seen frogs and turtles with projectile vomiting before... Pretty fountain and well-groomed lawn for this small park. Great place to lounge and read on as summer day. Just don't think about the fact that it used to be the site of public executions! TRIVIA: Logan Square is one of the 5 public squares that formed the original layout of Philadelphia. 3 of the others (Rittenhaus, Franklin, Washington) are still active while the last became the site of the historic city hall. read more

Logan square is beautiful! A must see for tourists and families. The view features our dear skyline, the art museum, and city hall. No swimming, but many do. I'm waiting for someone to crack their head open. Unfortunately, every time I've tried to sit and read in peace here, a homeless guy or two will come talk to me and not leave. I also avoid walking on the east side of the fountain because fountain water droplets blow in that direction, and people pee in the fountain. If you follow my logic, I'm telling you that pee droplets precipitate the east side of the park. Otherwise, it is beeeeee-autiful! read more

AVOID THIS COMPANY. DON'T FIND YOURSELF LOCKED IN AN UNATTENDED GARAGE. THIS IS ABOUT PARKWHIZ, THE ONLINE SERVICE, NOT THE UNDERLYING GARAGE. Yesterday evening was my second and last use of Parkwhiz. Each time, after I prepaid, made a reservation and parked in the garage I was not able to exit the facility without intervention by a live staffer who arrived 10-15 after I was held hostage. Each time the initial response was to blame the user. Each time I was offered a full or partial refund. Perhaps someday this company will get it's act together, but after two very negative experiences I will not subject myself to their failings a third time and recommend others take the benefit of my experience. read more

Cute little park with a majestic fountain in the middle. Though its tiny, Logan Square Park is incredibly clean. Kudos to the Parks Department! The edge of the park has some green space with shade, an awesome respite from the sweltering summer sun. This park also has a few benches. There is a sign that says no swimming, but I don't think that means you can't splash around. I saw children romping in the fountain on a hot day and I envied them. This park is very nice. I believe the fountain is the largest one in Philly and it's location is perfect for out of towners that plan on doing a lot of sight seeing. Franklin Institute of Science, Academy of Natural Science, Cathedral Basilica, are all one block away. And many other attractions and restaurants are with in walking distance as well. Though this park is nice for the family, I personally feel it better fits couples and people taking a break from sightseeing. There are lush gardens surrounding the fountain and the walkways are a combination of sand and gravel. There's not too many places that are shaded, so if you don't like to be in the sun for long periods of time, this park might not be fore you. All in all, this park is very relaxing and quiet. I never see any homeless people here and there are very few kids running around, being loud... Lastly, be observant where you sit because the fountain is in a very open area. So the mist gets carried by even the slightest winds. read more

Cheapest parking, everything was self explanatory, and clean. And they do recognize the Parking App.

I just left and the lady working was so rude. I needed help and she gave me such a nasty attitude I won't be back. I used parking panda and it's my first time and I did not know I had to scan when I went into the garage. She gets paid to sit there and basically do nothing she could cut the attitude! read more

I work across the street so this is a convenient parking lot. However, there are several problems. First, try getting in touch with someone by phone and you will be pulling your hair out. Second, the angles of the spaces are off so it is difficult to park without having to back up and move forward several times. Last, and most importantly, the elevator vestibules have become a dorm for homeless people. The stench is unbearable. The monthly cost for parking is $395. Value is just not there. The fountain is beautiful. If I wasn't holding onto my dude's hand as we walked, I probably would have run into a bunch of things because I couldn't stop admiring it. It's a nice park, smackdab in the middle of City Hall and PMA on the Boulevard. The park itself is pretty neat, with a giant fountain in the middle, but when i visited, at around 4:45PM, there was no one here but homeless people, and they gave me a mean stare as I walked pass them, and it gave me a creepy vibe and I wanted to get out there as quick as I can. It's probably better appreciated and less crowded by the homeless at around morning and lunchtime, but after that, it's overrun by the homeless. read more

This was a nice walk from our hotel in center city. It was a nice day when we walked there and there were plenty of people with the same idea sitting on benches and taking in the views and beautiful open skyline. This is a great place to go, however I feel like it is only limited to the fun times of Philly summers. Of course in the winter the fountain is not running, which is normal. But in the summer after making a whole foods trip and going to the Free Public Library, this place is fantastic. So refreshing to chill by and generally a nice crowd. read more

It's terrible. It's overrun by homeless people. They yell at you and bathe in the water fountain. Then around the fountain where you migt be able to find a bench without someone sleeping on it there are no trees so if its the summer you're most likely going to burn to death. read more
