After a lot of great recommendations from family and friends I decided to try this place. It did not disappoint. I've eaten and the rest and also ordered for catering and the food was great. They have an extensive menu and are able to accommodate large orders ahead of time. My favorites include Seasoned pork chop and chow mein. One of the few Hong Kong style cafes in town. The funny thing the Chinese name of this place is "Mong Kok" which is a region of HK, and doesn't exactly translate into "Logan". Parking is available in front in the nice large lot, or on the street. The staff here speak Cantonese. Straight up legit. The interior is a little worn, and reminds me of what you'd find in Vancouver in the early 1990s. I had some wonton noodles. They tasted half decent, but there was something missing in the wontons. They tasted like dim sum beef balls instead. The noodles were great though. One curious note - the food was served in these giant plastic bowls, that looked more like hospital bedpans than something you'd find in a restaurant. They looked like props you'd find in a movie. There are some other options around the Chinatown area, but this place does do the job. read more

I ordered chop suey vegetable, Kung POW chicken, and an egg roll. Heads up maybe I misread the menu but my egg roll had no meat in it. It was still good, mostly just bean sprouts which was actually most of my main, chop suey. Large portions. A lot of celery. read more

We were in Winnipeg and wanted to have Chinese food so we drove to China Town and found this restaurant. It does not look like much from the outside but we were so pleasantly surprised when we walked in. There was only one other table at the other end of the restaurant eating in. The restaurant was doing a great deal of take out business so it must be a local favourite. We sat down and ordered the salty fish fried rice with chicken, the salted duck egg with lean pork congee and the guy lan vegetable stir fried with garlic. The food came quickly with tea served first. All food served within 10 minutes. Tea was hot and smooth. Portions were large, probably for 3 to 4 people so this restaurant is great for groups of 4, allowing you to try more dishes. The fried rice was awesome. Nice flavours and textures. The congee was piping hot and delicious. The vegetables were beautifully done like only an authentic Cantonese restaurant can do. We were so happy! The server spoke Cantonese as well as his perfect English, so that made it even more welcoming to us. We will need to go back to Logan. It is so good we need to try other dishes. Our bill with tip was $49 which seems reasonable. read more

Good food, prices are spot on but....the restaurant itself is dirty and filthy. Let me elaborate, the floor is dirty, stained and smells. The washroom is filthy and in bad need of repair. The utensils are not properly washed, you can sometimes see food cruds stuck in there. Can you imagine what their kitchen is like? Needless to say, we stopped coming here and will not be back until they go through a complete renovation. read more

Found a decent place in Chinatown. My group ordered a pot sticker. It was juicy and huge. Good flavour. Garlic snow pea leaves, very garlicy and taste great fresh off the wok. Salt baked chicken. Not sure why there is gravy on the chicken. Gravy has a layer of fat on top. Not recommend eating it and lastly stream spare ribs with black bean sauce. Most of the spare ribs are fat. Very disappointing. This store is pretty dirty too there was dried food debris on my plate ware. However their service were quite friendly. Maybe I will order take out or delivery from them instead of dine in. read more

Hundreds of choices! Several direct hits!! Try this one: THE SCRAMBLED EGGS WITH SHRIMP It's somewhere above 100 in their numerical ordering code. All it is, is the most luscious, creamily-made fresh scrambled eggs (which would be good in themselves) with a few dozen curly, cherubic fried pink shrimp on top. This dish is so elemental that literally ANY restaurant which uses eggs and shrimp could attempt it. It so happens, though, that the chefs' skill here, with egg dishes, is THROUGH THE ROOF and this dish is the kind you wake up for days, in the middle of the night, craving. The egg texture is fluffy, perfect, on the brink of liquidity but never quite there -- you could imagine cheese being an ingredient, which it wasn't -- better than the best full-time breakfast chef at any number of hotel brunches you could name within the city. In fact, i could go for more of it right NOW. Me & my friend from out of town agreed that it was one of the most unique Cantonese dishes we had seen, and one of our new all-time faves. The deluxe Wonton soup I ordered for us had bugs in it.....here is a pic of the extra protein they attempted to serve us! Love this restaurant for straight up good Chinese food. They have a decent sized menu and everything comes hot and delicious. Favorite is spicy shrimp or spicy squid. Prices are decent. Small restaurant but great to go for family dinner. read more

Came here near closing. (Assuming why my food was AWFUL.) Got a chicken balls rice and vegetable Togo platter for $12 plus tip. ($18) My fried rice looked like it was scraped from the bottom of a pot rock hard and disgusting. Chicken balls all dough no meat. Vegetables rock hard cold and salty. The man who was dining in meal looked very good so I was excited. Was disgusted as soon as I arrived home. (5 minute walk) would never to return here. I was also told to hurry and order as they were closing. Google said 3am I arrived shortly after 1am. read more

Great chinese food place. They have excellent squid with spicy salt. In a questionable neighbourhood but this place is worth it.

Great place to go for authentic Chinese food.... its also great because they're open late till 2 am. So far the service, quality of food, and service has been consistant . Overall its been a great restaurant to go to. Food comes out fairly quickly. Enjoyable!! read more
