In addition to this, he was EXTREMELY RUDE to me. When I called to make the appointment, I asked if they took charge cards. I was told that they do but charge an additional 2% if you don't pay with a check. I meant to take a check with me but forgot so after the exam, I went to pay with my credit card which is Discover. Well, they don't accept Discover Cd. so I offered to pay the cash I had with me ($35) and go to an ATM to get the balance or mail a check the next day. The receptionist went in to tell the vet that I didn't have a check and only had Discover Cd. She returned and sent me in to speak to him where he proceeded to ream me out and tell me he was disgusted with me. He ranted on about how I should know that some businesses don't take Discover (yet his receptionist failed to mention that when she told me over the phone that they do take charge cards). He ranted on until I was in tears. I told him I could mail out a check the next day, but he wasn't happy with that either. I told him I could go to an ATM and withdraw cash to pay and he said they closed in 15 minutes at 6 pm. I did go to an ATM and got the cash balance (I had already paid the $35 I had with me) and returned and paid him in full before 6 pm (they still had two other separate clients in the waiting room waiting to be seen and they were still there at 6:30 before I left their parking lot). There was NO need for him to treat me as he did. It was an honest mistake as I never carry checks with me anymore and I had no idea that they wouldn't take my Discover Cd. He had no right to speak to me in the manner that he did. I will NEVER go back there again for his services and will tell everyone I know of my extremely unpleasant experience there at his practice.

Absolutely terrible. We rescued a dog from a bad home and wanted her to be thoroughly checked out…read moreand vaccinated. Not only were they rude to my girlfriend (Biracial), but acted okay with me (white), but they also refused to treat the dog because she was "aggressive." By 'aggressive,' they mean the dog didn't like when they touched it's open wound where she's been chewing from stress. That's it. My girlfriend had to restrain the dog because they refused to. The only time the dog reacted was when they were touching the wound. Otherwise the dog stood there calmly (although probably stressed because it's a vet and she's scared). The entire time, the dog had a Baskerville muzzle on that was securely fastened around the mouth, head strap, and collar. I asked them after if they were not trained in restraints and was ensured they were... so why didn't they? If they don't do large breeds, then why accept the appointment? I was told the dog is "out for blood." Upon returning home after speaking with them, the dog in question leaped with excitement and greeted me before returning to her chew bone.... and I'm a new owner that hasn't worked with her at all (my girlfriend has been attempting to train). So now I have an unvaccinated dog with an open wound and no thorough examination to rule out other possible issues. I can't take the dog to a training facility without this. They obviously do not care for this dog or animals like it and would rather condemn them and leave them untreated. Animal neglect. I will never attempt to seek their services again.

I explained to the nurse that I brought the dog to matvet because he was getting worse and I didn't think he could wait till 6 PM to be seen by then. After being cleared by matvet, madvett told me, I can go back to my normal vet so I brought the dog there and they said that my appointment was given away and they could not see him. I said I didn't understand because I did not cancel the appointment. They said that they talked to medvet, and when they knew I went there, they canceled the appointment without talking to me. I told them I want to talk to the doctor the doctor came to me and did not speak to me only yelled and threatened me and said that she would call the police if I did not leave. So I was dumbfounded because i've never been threatened in this way, so I did not say anything, and I got up and walked out. Do not bring your dog here. Not once did I yell or curse or threaten ever. I just said I wanted to talk to the doctor and the doctor threatened me immediately. I've never seen a business run this way. In my 42 years of life, this is unbelievable, and the sad part is, my dog is still suffering and all they could do It's treat me like a criminal.!!! I will be contacting an attorney to see my legal options. And it's contradicting because when I got there and the nurse said that they gave my appointment away. She still brought me back to a room to talk to the doctor I did not ask to be brought to a room. She just said, please come back here to this room with me and said she would get the doctor. All I asked was to speak to the doctor so that shecould see the pain. My dog was in, but it didn't matter. Is when the doctor got there. All she wanted to do was threaten me like a criminal.

No exam,no exam tomorrow, just came out to the waiting room to tell me my dog had a heart rate that was life threatening and she needed to stay. I told her I would like to see my dog, she informed me that there no rooms available for that. After another 30 minutes later a tech came out with an estimate. I asked some more questions about them keeping her the tech told me I would need to talk to the vet again, another 25 minutes later, the vet came out. She was clearly annoyed, sat down and stared at me, didn't ask what I needed did say "I heard you had questions" just glared. I asked my questions she answered them clipped and clearly agitated. I told her I was uncomfortable leaving my dog but if that was best for my dog I would, but I wasn't leaving until I saw her. We arrived at medvet at 7:15, at 9:30 I was finally able to see my dog again. After I had been told my estimate and diagnosis, one that was procured with zero testing, in a room full of strangers. I had spent a total of less than five minutes with a real person and they wanted me to sign an estimate for 2600.00. After 20 minutes in a room with my dog, they came back I signed the agreement and the tech agreed that she probably didn't need to stay. Never saw the vet again, but after another two hours they agreed to treat her and let her go home. For an issue they insisted was life threatening they too. Their time making me feel pressured into giving them thousands of dollars but doing very little for my dog. I cannot express enough DO NOT TAKE YOUR PET HERE! They want your money, there is no empathy, the front desk is cold impersonal, the vet is hard and takes zero time with people. As long as this review is I could go on for another 500 words of the things they screwed up, letting me sit in a room alone for a tech to come retrieve my dog that hadn't even been brought to me, a second tech coming in to ask me what how they were treating her, the front desk acting like I was bothering them when I check out. DO NOT GO HERE.

SO - with COVID, the "parents" are not allowed inside with their pet. You call the office once you arrive, a staff member comes out to retrieve your pet, the vet calls you once they have visited with your pet, a staff member calls shortly after for payment of services, and then a staff member brings your pet out afterwards. It's as simple as that. I called Compassionate Care after being referred to them by a friend. My family and I added a Shih-Poo puppy (Molly) to our family a few weeks ago so I wanted to do a wellness visit and make sure that she was up-to-date with her vaccinations. The staff members and vet techs were super friendly (over the phone and when getting Molly and dropping her back off). The vet was even more friendly and super informative. Unfortunately, I do not remember his name - but it was not Dr. Miles. I do not see anyone listed on their webpage except for Dr. Miles. The vet went over EVERYTHING with me that had to do with taking care of and training a puppy. He spent about thirty minutes on the phone with me and I absorbed everything that he had to share. I really enjoyed my time with him. It showed me that he was both compassionate and caring! I also really like the app that Compassionate Care uses to keep you up to date with your appointments. With having a puppy, I think that this is super handy. We have another appointment in two weeks for boosters and I am looking forward to speaking with the staff and vet again. If you have a pet, I would highly recommend Compassionate Care!
