Roach 1

2 star is being a little nice. For valid reasons in my opinion. I moved here around a year ago, my fiancé already lived here, we just "upgraded" our space. He never really utilized the amenities due to working all the time. Things were great at the start everything seemed beautiful. The "salt water" pool, gym, dog parks and complimentary poo bags, indoor halls. Private Wireless key entry. The salt water pool is for sure treated with chemicals, I smell like chlorine when I get out. Only one man knows how to "take care" of the pool. This summer the pool got glazed over with green algae while he was out for a week. They claimed " the pump went out" as a previous pool owner myself, when the pump goes out you need to shut it down drain the pipes to properly confirm the issue is corrected. Not just replace the out of water pump. The filters are always dirty, I find myself cleaning them every time I go to the pool which should not be happening. The dog park always had poop all around the park especially the small one in the front corner. The poop bags are always empty and the main poo waste bin at the larger dog park is always over flowing and covered In shit flies. Aggressive dogs do live here and the owners take them to the parks and don't let anyone else in or even politely rotate time in the park. The indoor halls and open apartments for touring have since grown an large amount of roach activity... roaches, not water bugs. There is a distinctive difference in water bugs and roaches. The office claims they are water bugs because we are so close to the lake. Funny I never see them outside of these apartment buildings and they are identical to roaches. I'm from the north eastern states, I know roaches when I see them. Over the last few months halls always have trash (masks, fast food bags and cups, grocery bags, dog shit and pee stains, food and candy wrappers, etc) in them and have a stale smell like dirty tenants in the building the office is NOT in coincidentally. We have also had ALL of our neighbors in our wing change in the last 4 or so months. Which is around when the cleanliness has gone down. I don't give a fuck what is going on in your apartment but don't share it to the halls. The roaches we could all do away with. The elevator always has dog pee and stuff spilled in it the hand rail along the back is broken and the ceiling is falling. Along with the 50/50 chance it's actually going to be in service. The wireless key fob entry is great, except it's always broken. Yes you can easily slip a credit card in to open the ground door, but we shouldn't have to do that. Recently we have had some young rowdy neighbors move in who are loud, in the pool after hours, screaming at night from the parking lot to the balcony, flying through here in a mini van like it's a race track. As I was walking my dog they whipped the corner without caution and almost hit my dog and I. ***Our neighbors above us are stomping all hours of the day and night. I've asked them numerous times to be a little kind especially in the night hours and they continue. 2-3-4AM? Yep always stomping. And waking us up. During the work day I have found myself throwing shit at the ceiling to get them to calm down. Shoes, dog toys, soccer balls, anything to make them aware they are extremely loud. I had 2 of my light fixtures fall out of the ceiling in the first 2 months of living here. When we moved into our larger apartment we submitted a request for the dishwasher being backed up and smelling rotten, along with the garbage disposal having mold in the hose, backed up shower and sink drains and they didn't tend to any of that. I found myself taking apart the garbage disposal and dish washer pulling out the mold and gunk build up along with 2 gallons of drain cleaner and a drain snake to attempt to clear it all up. Nearly a year later it's still an issue. Maintenance didn't fix it, we had to. Maintenance is poor. You think apartment living is going to cover your repairs, they don't and they are not timely and friendly when you address the issues. The recycle bins are over flowing with common trash, there is only one trash area, the maintenance guy smokes on property all around all day it's disgusting, he even drives his car around to smoke, how about fixing our requests and not smoking on the job. FYI they never let you see your apartment they let you see another one. And you only see yours on the day of move in. Our had black pube like hairs everywhere, in clean counter tops appliances and the bathroom fixtures as well. The paint jobs are terrible. Splatters on the floors, counters and fixtures and the edging is extremely sloppy. The cabinets have chunks taken out of them and there is a small chunk missing from our island counter top. More than a little upset what we got for what we pay each month for this place. I may be a karen and add to this later. Here's pictures of roaches in the common hall for you.

A quick update: After calling multiple times Friday to…read morediscuss the pressing issues I listed previously, my calls were continuously rejected. (allowed to ring for shorter and longer times, then rejecting immediately, no voicemail box, etc) but when they finally responded to my google review in the public's eye, they made sure to mention that I can contact them anytime to discuss the matter. Sure. They have also chosen to stand by the void lease with my forged signature when finally emailing me back. A lease with a forged signature is not enforceable, therefore ( by law ) it is not legitimate and enforcing it violates multiple basic NC laws. But they "must follow the guidelines" ( whose guidelines? ones that they can make up on the spot? Ones not adhearing to NC business laws? who knows. ) I am a human being. I have only insisted on basic human rights, after I survived what happened. Because this threatened my life. I lived there, it was my home, too. Everything I've ever owned and carried through life is still inside that apartment. I have to keep insisting that I did not deserve to have everything taken away from me, simply because my ex wanted to move new people in to replace me. When they'd rather let their tenants get thrown onto the street due to the actions of an abusive spouse than do the right thing, they should not be allowed to manage and control anyone's housing. -- Steer clear of this place, management will not take action against illegal activity from tenants. My abusive spouse forged my signature to terminate my status on the lease when I lived here, effectively leaving me homeless while dealing with a chronic illness that I was made to miss treatments for. Management did nothing when made aware. Since my ex got away with forging my signature and was able to move more people in and out, me being off the lease also allowed the use of threats any time I said I was coming back to get my belongings-- including my own pets. My ex is also still evading divorce service after all this time while protected by management here. I had talked to the people in the management about everything, where they seemed sympathetic. They then went radio silent any other time I tried reaching out for help on returning. Since someone forging a signature to move others in and out is blatantly illegal, there is no reason for them to avoid a tenant breaking the law to such a degree. I had done everything expected of me, filed police reports locally, and the detective assigned just never responded to me either. No help from any sides, so now i just have to pray that im able to afford the right lawyer. There are plenty of other places to rent around this beautiful area, there is no reason to trust the staff here when a place of living should be protected for your safety. I didnt think I would survive having a home taken away from me, and people who could've done something chose to do nothing. The opposite of nothing, actively letting someone break the law and continuously renewing their lease.

My partner and I are moving from California and we planned a trip in September to see the area and check out a few communities in preparation for our move in December 2020. I called and left a voice message a couple of weeks ago and received a call back from Parker early the very next day when the office opened up again. Parker was very pleasant over the phone and answered all my questions. I set up an appointment for 9/17 And we met Chelsea when we arrived. She was very sweet, patient, and welcoming to us. She gave us a tour of three different layouts and we really liked all of them. The community seemed very clean. The rent rates were fair and they had specials going on. We really enjoyed our tour. This place is still our number one choice after visiting a few other communities. A lot of it had to do with the hospitality and outstanding customer service from the staff. The meme wall at the office was a nice touch. Made us laugh early on in our visit. The dog treats in the cute little lobby made us feel that our service animals will be welcomed. Moving can be a scary and stressful process especially when it's out of state. Parker and Chelsea made it a little less scary for us. Thank you Lincoln Apartments staff, we hope to see you again in December.

Short walking distance to super market, bars, restaurants, park, office & workout places. (yoga, row, HIIT) Walking distance to cameron village (huge plus). We have a small dog and she felt so comfortable, from the moment we arrived to the moment she left, her tail was wagging. The bed and linens were so comfortable, we wanted to purchase them! but unfortunately they were not for sale :( I would purchase the entire set if i could, I have insomnia and haven't slept that well in a really long time. The kitchen was perfectly layed out for the space we needed for a temporary home. Keurig was a huge plus in the AM and I was able to cook full meals without an issue. The bathrooms were very spacious & clean with modern fixtures. Only wish there was one tub. (we had two bathrooms) The living room was comfortable; was able to work from home comfortably without any issues. The cleaning staff was great. Very friendly and came in promptly at the same time every week. Wish i knew what scent they used b/c I am missing it. The lobby staff was absolutely amazing - they delivered your packages and mail everyday. If you have an issue, they check it out immediately. Just a few cons to the building: -In one of the bedrooms, you can hear the people upstairs. (although i think they were loud b/c it sounded like they had a young child running around) -Some of the walls are definitely too thin. -When people spoke loud in the hallway, we heard it pretty clearly. (but once this one person checked out and left, it was very quiet) But overall we loved the place and will be back.
