I recently moved into a unit that was not prepared for occupancy. I received the keys on January 4, 2025. Unfortunately, I did not get a proper walkthrough of the unit with an agent. The maintenance man directed me to the unit and said he had no knowledge this unit was supposed to be on the list for move in, he also stated he serviced 8 units that would be available. Upon moving in, I noticed several issues. There is a crack in the ceiling due to a water leak from the unit above. Both the washer and dryer are broken, and there's mold in the dishwasher. The blinds in the living room are damaged and have not been replaced, and there is visible mold on the bathroom ceiling. Additionally, there was trash and debris under the kitchen cabinets and between the dishwasher. Before I moved my belongings in, I informed Marie about these problems, and she assured me they would be addressed by Saturday, January 5, 2025. However, it is now Tuesday, and nothing has been done. On Monday, I requested to switch units, and despite the property manager's assurance that I would be placed in building 11, I was told that nothing was available by another agent. I'm trying hard not to believe there is some form of racism going on because why would I be placed in such a unit then expected to stay with two small kids who are now exposed to mold. Also not to mention, my WiFi box was order prior to me moving in. When I arrived to the unit the WiFi box was open which means someone intended to steal the package if it was of there liking. read more
