We have now been here almost four months and it is great! The place is beautiful, the area is gorgeous, and Lori and Ron are the best! I immediately moved out because I no longer believed I was safe and Talavera charged me rent for an additional 30 days and a termination fee equal to 2 months rent for breaking my lease a few months early. I even have a Firestick on my television so I can watch my favorite Netflix shows! There is also ample parking to go around for everyone. They ranged in price. Although we were attracted to the second unit and wanted to stop with that one, because of his insistence we were able to chose the third one which had the best price and it was located over a heated pool with a double viewing fireplace, beautiful finishing colors and the best parking distance, which was the shortest. Second came the leasing paper work. This gentleman absolutely made our paperwork and submittals seem effortless. He went beyond normal efforts and made it all go smoothly with ease. He secured our desired choice and assisted us completely. The attention to detail and his commitment to assist was amazing and we are greatly thankful. We look forward to the move-in day and beyond. Little do they know, I took a video. Place is a scam. Thin walls, poorly insulated where your bill is waaaayyyy higher, if you have autopay, they will charge as much as they can. My favorite part of it all are the thefts. There were so many thefts; one was performed directly in front of me. They refused to do anything (such as adding cameras). There are so many options. The cost is also terrible. A single bedroom is 1800 while a two bedroom is 1500? How does this make any sense.

She would constantly tell my partner and I "She's never seen an ant issue like this is her whole 10+ years. She's never had an ant issue in this building. It's from my trash can (in my dining room with a regular amount of trash in it.) it was always redirected to us and never them. I have evidence from around the property that this has clearly been an issue, and maybe i'm the only one that cannot deal with it and just live my normal life. as well as my partner felt this way. I talked to previous tenants about their issues and experience and 2 other people stated they also had a severe ant issue and terrible management issues. Both me and my partner had to seek therapy over the ants and the way we were treated. As well as illegally entered our apartment multiple times (highly suggest getting a camera for your front door as that's how we figured this out and turned over to our lawyer.) did not try and compensate us for any of our hassles and heartaches. Maintenance at one point came in and destroyed a couple pieces of my decoration, was never replaced or compensated. Pest control would let himself in without any prior notice or and i never out in a 7 day request. Would always spray and not let me see or know what he was spraying in my apartment, mind you I have an infant. went into my room even after being asked not to go in there (the only reason I know is because of the camera we had to set up.) Marlene also tried to lie and say pest control did come by and I wasn't home after I had scheduled for that day. Pest control admitted to not even being scheduled for that day and that Marlene was trying to flip the script. Only owned up to the truth once I mentioned my camera. Drama. Drama. Drama. and a whole bunch of unprofessionalism. Makes me never want to rent again, because of the poor taste they gave off. I know LANL employees look at these often because of price comparisons to Los Alamos's market and where it's located. be very careful, in general doesn't matter who! Originally they got a deposit of $500+ then another $620 at move out because of the prorated amount they said would be put toward credit. Now sending a bill for $180+ dollars , when realistically they owe us money. Everything has been turned over to our lawyer, and now the state,and BBB. From 20 yrs old - 100yrs old watch your back with this management and especially Marlene ( New Mexico Court is always your friend as you can see she's been in a case previously. a quick lookup on facebook mention of "Rancho Carerra" will bring up anything your looking for. I have Plenty of photos of other peoples reviews, and my own experience. If you do choose to go through these apartments make sure to know your lease. Very sad situation as this was our first time renting as young tenants, our baby did most of her first here. Sadly by the end of it we felt uncomfortable, unwelcome, and pushed out.

The temnants here are quiet, very pleasant, and the amenities, while a bit slender, are wonderful. There is a clubhouse with activities, a miniature 'dog park' and also ample places to walk your dog, with 'clean up' bag dispensers easily available. Celestina, the manager is a delight to work with, and the views surrounding this community are very nice. The grounds are very well kept and beautiful year round. We have lived here over 5 years and love it.
