This is the best patient experience that I have ever had in healthcare. The exam was so comprehensive and the status of the health of my teeth were explained on such a detailed level. The music playing in the exam room had a relaxing effect. I was able to view each of my teeth and gain understanding of how to maintain/improve their health. I had the same dentist my entire life. My uncle was my dentist from the time I was in elementary school until 2020, when he retired. I was at a loss - he sold his practice to a lovely young dentist, but around the same time, I moved to Edmond, and it didn't make sense to drive an hour round trip just to go to his old building. But then some acquaintances, Doctors Lu & Q opened the most incredible dental practice in North Edmond. Arrive early so you can chill out in the massage chair until your appointment begins. Then, you're taken back to one of the tidy and open exam rooms. You get to pick what you want to watch. I opted for YouTube walking tours of Athens and the Greek islands. My cleaning and exam began with a thorough review of my dental and physical health history. They really do look at the forms you fill out, and ask you questions like, "You noted you're allergic to this medication; what is your reaction to it?" I've literally never had a doctor do that. In my case, after going a while between visits, I had some fillings that needed to be replaced. I pride myself on my dental health, so I might have doubted them when they told me I had several that needed repair. But, they use a small camera when looking at your teeth, so you can see exactly what they see, via a screen on the ceiling. I scheduled my appointment for the work, and we opted for conscious sedation so I could do everything in one visit without being uncomfortable. I took a small pill when I arrived, sat in the massage chair while it started to work, and then they took me back. Dr Lu gave me a weighted blanket, headphones, music, YouTube on the ceiling again, and lots of sweet little pats when checking on me. I took another pill in the dentist chair, and then they started the work (and the nitrous!) I got so comfy, I asked if I could take my shoes off! LOL. I totally did kick my Nikes off, and as they clunked loudly to the ground we all had a little chuckle. The drugs were working! During my four hour appointment (!!) I was relaxed, comfortable, and well tended to. Both Dr Lu and Dr Q worked on me, and the wonderful staff was in and out as well. I was never apprehensive, and nothing hurt. My husband picked me up and bought me a milkshake. I was pretty sure I'd have soreness the following day, but I was so delighted to wake up Saturday morning with no pain, no remaining side effects, and my teeth all fixed up. I'm going back next week for whitening and the placement of a crown. After that, I'll have to come up with another excuse to come in and be pampered and spoiled while lightly sedated. Five stars for an incredible dental visit from start to finish. Drs. Lu & Q left no detail unnoticed in this cozy practice. From massage chairs both while you wait AND while you're in the exam room to your choice of viewing options both in front and over head (I spent my morning touring London at Christmas via YouTube), you feel both comfortable & entertained. The music was vibey holiday tunes that never felt repetitive or forced, and the staff made you feel as comfortable as the chairs. Now what really blew my mind was the use of technology at every turn. Have you ever seen a digital, real time image of the very tippy top back of your teeth?! Me either until today. The doctors take a look at every nook, cranny & curve of each tooth and explain what they're seeing and what they are looking for. I learned so much today, including where I need to spend a little more QT with my brush. My new patient appointment wrapped with a thorough cleaning from Dr. Q (another first, a dentist doing the cleaning!) and a pretty sweet goody bag on my way out. Having an uncle for a dentist meant I'd seen the same dentist my whole life until he retired so I'm pretty picky about who takes care of my pearly whites. The team at LoFi dental made me feel comfortable, cared for, and actually excited for my next visit. I've never had a bad experience with a dentist, but I can't say I've ever really had a good experience either. Going to the dentist was just some thing I did because I was supposed to. That totally changed after my first appointment at LoFi Dental. Everything about this was such a completely different experience. The amount of care, consultation, and just all-around engagement was more than I've ever expected from a trip to the dentist's office. From the moment I entered the Dentist office I was greeted and felt like comfortable. The check-in person was very articulate, respectful, and did a great job in giving me an overview of the office. I did not have to wait anytime for someone to acknowledge I was there. When I was brought to the back, Ian (I hope I spelled his name right) was as professional as they come. He made sure I understood all the steps he was going to perform. Once started, he pointed out all the equipment and and capabilities they offered. He ensured the pictures and preliminary setup was ready to go without failure. I did not feel pressured at all. Ian listened to all my questions and concerns. I know he will do well becoming a dentist and joining the military. After Ian I was greeted by Lauren. Laser focused attention. She was very enthusiastic about her job and seemed to pride herself on being the best in her field. As a hygienist she had a high level of attention to detail. Her aptitude really showed her level of care for the client. Dr. Lu and Q dental business is beyond reproach. From the business model to implementation you can see they really did their homework. The aesthetics are nothing like any other dental office. When talking with Dr. Q, she explained the reasoning of why the atmosphere feels like a calming place. Doing any type of work on the human body requires many areas of focus. One that is neglected, is atmosphere for the mental aspect of someone. They mimic the lavender color throughout the office which creates a calming visual. They even have MASSAGE CHAIRS for before and after care. The whole office is very clean. I appreciated their candor and responsibility to the client which they take seriously. Dr. Lu conducted my exam and was very thorough. He explained areas of needed emphasis and ones which looked really good. Not once did I feel rushed. His level of experience shows, by not only his ability to explain, but his recommendations and not trying to make a buck. Side note: The dye they use and explaining the why behind it is absolutely impressive. They used a system that takes dental cleaning to a new level. She is such a caring and understanding individual who will make sure you are comfortable throughout your entire visit; having dental fears she is the one dentist who helped me overcome those fears and has aided me in my journey back to having a healthy smile with the steps she takes to ensure my comfort level throughout each visit, unlike any other dentist ive been to. This place claims to be sensitive to dental anxiety and is a relaxing experience but in my opinion it is NOT. Don't be fooled by the smooke and mirrors. This dentist does not give a crap about you. Lofi insist on photos (not x-rays) immediately upon waking into exam room, a bright flash right in your face multiple times and asked to place metal retractors in both sides of mouth and pull open mouth with both hands to display your mouth for photos, the anxiety I had walking in was amplified 1000%. When expressed I did not feel comfortable doing that photo, I was told they were not the dentist for me. And the appointment ended, theres the door!! What?? How does this align with their statements "Our promise is to listen, create, collaborate, and help you fall in love with your healthy smile." "Dentistry is intimidating... but not at LoFi. Our calming atmosphere is inspired by lo-fi music, a style that turns familiar sounds into rhythmic beats that can soothe anxiety. Our chill practice may have you saying your visit was kinda sorta "ahh-mazing.". What they mean to say is, we will not listen, and we will not sooth anxiety, for what we say and if you have a problem with any steps you can leave!!! There are 100's of dentists in Edmond/OKC that will treat you like a human, not some guinea pig for before and after photos. Keep looking there are great ones out there. read more

My experience there was incredibly joyful, and I felt as though I got the most exceptional care possible for my teeth. This is the best dental practice I have ever been to. Never thought I would want to review a dentist because I normally hate the dentist! But Dr Lu and Dr Q are honestly two of the most genuinely amazing people I have ever met. And this was an experience. I felt like the most important person they had that day. I just moved into Edmond from Austin, Texas trying to get my ducks in a row, luckily I stumbled upon this place as it was being built and was one of their first patients. I've never been into a dentistry before that's made me feel comfortable as this one, the dentists and staff who run this are very friendly have a great dynamic working together, and do a very well job explaining everything to you comprehensively. I'm glad I found them and recommend everyone I meet to give them a shot. This place gives the aesthetic of a cozy jazz lobby, lofi hip-hop for relaxing and studying, that's what they're going for - I can see this being great for people who have a hard time going to dentists from bad experiences or nervousness. read more

yet again another great visit!! Had a very thorough check up (the most thorough screening I ever had) and a cleaning using guided biofilm therapy (GBT). I have never left a dental office with cleaner and whiter teeth. the GBT system was incredible and pain free- just lots of water and pretty quick. Best Dental Office ever!! read more

I never had great dental experiences until I started seeing Dr. Daryn Lu. I am not too fearful of the dentist, but when I heard I had to get my fillings redone, it didn't exactly excite me. Upon meeting Dr. Lu, I felt instantly relaxed. He was extremely kind and understanding of my nerves, and chatted with me throughout the entire procedure, even though I couldn't really talk! And I have to say, the cozy vibes of LoFi Dental are all the more reason to go! My visit at LoFi Dental was nothing short of a relaxing experience. When you first walk in, there is no front desk, allowing you to relax and take in the atmosphere in a non-confrontational way -- I took a few moments to sit and breathe to prep for my cleaning. The receptionist comes to you, and it is a person to person experience, rather than just going up to a desk. They then take you on a tour, showing you around the BEAUTIFUL office, and it is so great to be informed on everything that they have and why they have it. They also have refreshments in the lobby and a massage chair/relaxation room that you can sit in before your appointment if you are early, or sit in after if you need to relax post-appointment before going back to real life. This dental office is spa-like, providing you with everything you need to have the best experience. I don't want to give away too much, but I left there feeling like I just went on a vacation, and it was just a dental visit! Drs.
