Its funny, I would never think to review a school on yelp... But after seeing the rating so low,…read moreone can assume its because its one salty person and too few reviews. The school is incredible. I will be sending all my children there after only one year of my son going. Class sizes are small, STEM is a major focus, teachers are qualified, and expectations are high.. both academically as well as conduct standpoint. Staff/Admin/Teachers are among some of the most caring and friendly you will meet. When taking a tour led by 8th grade students, I was blown away by the maturity, confidence and composure of these 12/13 year olds. This year, my family had the misfortune of dealing with the diagnosis of a serious illness that I received. When notified, the amount of support and love that my family received was incredible. They offered before/after care... they gave cell phone numbers etc... The community atmosphere there is incredible. All that said, its not for everyone. As mentioned above there are expectations, there is religion and morals, and if your children need to be reprimanded for poor behavior, then they will provide that as well. We have found that most other parents that have a hard time following the rules are the ones who seem to have the most "problems"... The doors open at a certain time for a reason. The children are let out a certain way, for a reason. They ask for certain snacks not to be sent to school for a reason... And it seems the parents who have to complain the loudest about these rules, rather than just accepting them as part of enrollment in this school, perhaps should consider a different school. We have found that being cooperative, following the rules and being personable has lead to a fantastic experience. In my business, if my clients are difficult to work with, they have a much different experience than those who are a pleasure to work with.

Both of my daughters have been in TRS for the nursery, pre-k and Kindergarten programs. They were received with kindness and warmth. In reference to the negative review, I am not too concerned about the front desk. My main concern is my kids safety. I would prefer there be a strict policy on admittance. Also, public school just as catholic schools are not babysitting services. There is a time that students are expected to be in school and released from school. On another note, The academics are by far high, the teachers are fantastic and the curriculum is rigorous. This is everything that embodies a dynamic school. The class size is small as they move up into elementary school and middle school. This is exactly why I choose Trinity Regional School. Truly, look no further if you and your family are looking into Catholic Education. You will not be unhappy.

We never intended to stay past Kindergarten, but the quality of instruction, and Montessori methods were a perfect fit for our son. Enrolling him was one of the best things we could have done for him. He is neurodivergent, and the teachers and school staff have worked closely and thoughtfully with us to ensure that his needs are met and that he continues to grow and learn. He has spectacular social skills, and is particularly sensitive to, and encouraging of, students who are younger than him. We are confident that when the time comes for him to make a transition, he will have a solid foundation, both in terms of academics, and socially. Although some have a wonderful experience at Fontebonne Hall Academy, mine was quite the opposite…read more The school recently went through a change of administration and staff. The year my daughter started there 11 teachers left the school. I believe the school is still trying to acclimate to the new principles methods of teaching. The new methods in which administration use included creating a new category of science called PPEAPS. This category of science was an absolute waste of my child's education. Not only was is it a made up category of science that has no proven method or lesson plan, in which to teach, it is not recognized by the NYC Board of Education. My daughter transferred out of Fontbonne Hall Academy without a science credit and is now a year behind in science (which while at Fontebonne she maintained a 98 grade average). The guidance counselor is also unresponsive. My daughter witnessed an extremely offensive racist remark from one student towards another students nationality and reported to the guidance counselor. I also reported it to the guidance counselor and nothing was done. No follow-up to the report no investigation. Absolutely nothing was done. If nothing else, tolerance should be taught along with academics which this school unfortunately doesn't offer either. I suggest that you really lol into this school before sending your daughter there.
