Left standing 15 minutes waiting to rent skates. Owner: please consider full renovation of ladies restroom. Cleaning won't take care of what's wrong with it. Also, the time to wait for snacks like pretzels, hot dogs needs to be seriously reduced. Waited 45 minutes for a pretzel last time I came. Otherwise, reasonable rates makes The Rink a fun time.

You get exactly what you pay for, shoes and an ice skating rink. I don't come here often, mainly…read more'cause whenever anyone gets the itch to go ice-skating in the mythical central Jersey, they typically come here. Even on week days this place can be a zoo. But ultimately its the best bang for your buck. My biggest issue are all the little hockey brats that enjoy slamming into other skaters. The rink supervisors need to kick them off the ice, but don't. They're young. Otherwise, the staff is supportive, and the ice gets re-polished often enough to keep up with the amount of traffic it gets. The food court sells hot edible food. You'll have a good time regardless of a few bumps and slips.

The issue is that laces were really worn out and the initial pair I got had ribbon like lace which seemed like a makeshift arrangement. They had about 8 people on staff for a Saturday. They advertised the grinch who came out for five minutes and we never saw him again. The kids were roller skating the wrong way. It was just mayhem. Going rate is $9 admission and $3 skate rentals which is not bad ( about going rate locally). The coaches and people running the skate program are great. Very passionate and all-in when it comes to teaching & creating a safe / fun skate experience for everyone. They are running a smooth ship here. Now they do have indoor soccer fields here too and have party hosting capabilities as well. Didn't experience those sides of the business but the soccer fields are typically packed when we stopped by. All in all, great place to come for Skate Lessons or just enjoy an Open Skate evening.

When…read morethe ice is smooth, it is so fun to go around, and you are never in any danger of bumping into anyone, because it doesn't get packed like the outdoor rink at Roosevelt Park or any touristy rink in NY. However, sometimes you get those hockey kids, and they purposely skate fast and weave in and out of wobbly people, so that can get a little nerve wracking. It's also rude and inconsiderate but considering those guys are teens, it's kind of forgivable, I suppose. Have a decent seating area upstairs that always looks clean, well maintained, with plenty of tables and chairs where they sell food. You can also look out and watch people skating. I've watched some figure skaters practicing and it's a lot of fun! Nice people at the front desk, very helpful with questions. Big lot, plenty of parking.
