Putting my hair out on a limb I thought I would try something new, other than Sports Clips. Needing a change every now and then, really trying to find something similar to Roosters located in Grapevine area, man that place was awesome. Shoe shine, hair cut, neck massage, and head massage with a beer.... This is not that place.
A men's hair cut salon next to a Pizza/Sports Bar you would think that they would be booming with business....It isn't... Let me tell you why...
Walking in: Empty waiting room at 6pm(ish) on a Thursday night. Really makes you wonder if you should walk out and go somewhere else. One LED TV behind the resister and one LCD TV on the other side of the room... This kind of messes with your vision a little bit when switch between the two.
Front greeter: Nice Greeting. Takes your name and number and looks around the corner to find that all the hair stylist are out back smoking. (At least I think they were. We will get to that in a moment.)
Hair stylist?: Doesn't greet you, appears to be bothered by the fact that in someway inconvenienced her on a break. Smells of smoke. (Just quit a year ago... Never a fan of stale cigarette smoke smell.)
Hair cut: Apron that was put on me smelled of smoke. It is almost as if these aprons are used on their smoke breaks to cover up with to avoid smelling of stale smoke. A little hint, It didn't work and now I have the smell all over me... So, on to the hair cut. Don't get me wrong, I am ok with, as I think many men are, a hair stylist touching their hair. This stylist didn't like touching and almost seemed to be repulsed by the action... (Yes, I'm clean... No buggies or grease up in this head, lol.) Even when when the scissors were being used to cut my hair it seemed very apathetic and a little frightening. Hair cut didn't turn out like I would have liked( what is the risk if you say that it is bad? Can't really put it back on can you). Small tip: Never ask a client "What do you think" in a manner that shows confusion. You are the artist not me... Tell me what you think.
Hair washing: Same as above... This stylist didn't like touching and almost seemed to be repulsed by the action.. Not relaxing at all...
Cleanliness of the place: With a staff that appeared to be bored out of their mind because of the lack of business. You would think that the place would be epically clean... The area is dusty and feels like it hasn't been cleaned in months. Now that I think about it, if the area isn't cleaned what about the scissors, combs, towels, hair wash sinks, etc....
I found nothing in your mission statement, ("....goal of serving you with the highest level of service and customer care while providing you with a quality haircut each and every time.") to be true during my visit. I won't be coming back until I see quite a few 4 or 5 Star reviews on Yelp.
