this was not supposed to be our hotel for our one-night stay in granada, but hubby and i ended up…read morestaying here due to a mix-up at our original hotel, a few blocks away. they re-booked us at this hotel and we were grateful since this establishment was definitely a step above the place we'd originally booked, and we got to stay here at the same rate which was even better.
we arrived quite early b/c we wanted to store our luggage with the concierge, but upon checking in, we were informed that our room was actually ready, so we went ahead and left our things in the room. speaking of which, it was a nice, big room, certainly very comfortable with two twin beds, a desk with chair, arm chair, a huge bathroom with a shower over tub, and a bidet! definitely fancier than what we required, but we did not complain!
the water pressure in the shower was pretty good, and they did provide plush towels, and a few basic toiletries like soap. i didn't use the bidet, since i didn't need to, but i definitely found it fascinating as this isn't something i typically see in an american hotel!
the beds were very comfy, and we actually pushed the twin beds together to make a bigger bed so that we could spread out more. we definitely slept well overnight, and the darkened curtains were also very much appreciated.
most of the staff spoke some english, and i was able to have one of them tell me where to go for a light breakfast before checking out as well as call a taxi to transport hubby and i to the train station later that morning.
this hotel is about 10 minutes from the train station and a 10-15 minute walk to the city centre. i liked that it was just a stone's throw from the river, so i actually went to walk along the river the morning before we departed.
overall, a nice hotel that gives you good value for your buck with a convenient location.
