We tried the Sherlock's Library experience for a department bonding event and it was kind of…read morelackluster. They really made the cheapest experience possible, and it shows. When you walk into the room, you see a bookshelf decal on the wall and a bunch of chests within the room. The only sort of cool prop they had was one of those globes that opens up. But every single task was to unlock a lock. So you could just search the entire room for hidden keys and chests without actually having to follow any clues (one or two were keys, others were combo locks). You still have to figure out the combos, but just finding codes is kinda lame. The prompt itself wasn't good to start, so I felt like our team didn't have a goal, we just started searching. The storyline was not really there. We solved everything including the master chest. And although humans have a natural sense of satisfaction in finishing something, it wasn't actually that fun. Glad I didn't have to spend my own money on this. I'd be happy to try another escape room, but not at this establishment.

That was fine since two of us (myself and my fiancé) were seasoned Escapers and our two friends had never been. It was a great room that was exactly what I expected and absolutely fit for newbies and experienced escapers alike. It was a perfect taste for those getting their feet wet for the first time . Both of the beginners in our group were hooked after that!! We cannot wait to go again together. We've now converted two more to the "dark side" lol. Aside from the experience, we got a chance to speak to one of the co-owners and Game Master. He was very friendly and informative! Actually....he was so awesome that my fiancé and I decided, on the 5 hour drive home, that we were going to open our OWN Escape Room one day (hopefully)!!! Keep up the great work. If we are in the Auburn, NY area from the Auburn area of MA- we will ABSOLUTELY do the harder Exit Protocol or Mysterious Potion Rooms!!

She gave us 1 sheet of paper, walked us outside to another building that was dirty and smelled like garbage & mold. She put 4 people in a really small room that could not fit 8 like they said. 30- 40 min in the lady comes into the room and said "I dont think you have one of these cards in here. " she hands us a business card and said "you can definitely can get out if you have this card." She closed the door and didnt leave the building because she knew that we would try the number on the card. There was no riddle within a riddle...no extra locks, no glow in the dark arrows. SUCKED

The owner really took care to involve just about every item in the room was a part of the puzzle, and it really did feel like I was poking around my elderly aunt's apartment, down to the handful of Bobby pins and loose cough drops I found in the bottom of a purse. Our room was a 7/10 difficulty, but my mom and gf and I are kinda true-crime and puzzle enthusiasts, so we were able to finish it without too much difficulty, although I'll admit we did need a few hints. We'll definitely be coming back again and trying our hand at some of the more challenging rooms! David provided an amazing experience and is clearly very proud of his rooms, as well he should be. I couldn't recommend this place more and can't wait to come back!

It's inside an old church with wonderful, tall stained-glass windows and historical plaques, and the clues are perfect for the context. Also, the story line is not an escape but a rush to find stolen loot, which we thought was a fun way to go. And the folks running the game seemed as excited as we were which made it all a great experience.
