I spoke with one of their representatives and she told me a price for getting a new key fob copied. When I went to their shop, another higher price was stated. I told them about the conversation I had and that I wasn't going to pay any price higher than the price stated. They went forward with the copying and gave me the price without any tax. I appreciate that they made it a good experience by their quick service and awesome pricing. My only suggestion is the pricing/communication could be worked on so that there isn't an issue with someone who could be overbearing on deals. Customer service sucks, they weren't upfront with their pricing. I went to program and cut a spare key. I was quoted a price but when I paid, the price that was significantly higher and they were unable to program the fob. They told me it was the key I purchased from eBay and that I could buy their key fob for $200. They still charged me labor to program a fob that doesn't work. And I can't return it because they cut it. Why wouldn't they try to program it first before cutting it? I don't recommend this place. read more

They get zero stars... Very poor customer service, they don't stand behind their work. they even made it difficult to talk about the job they preformed ... I payed $400.00 and was left with a vehicle and key that did work.. I took the key to their place of business and was told it's not the key it must be the vehicle.. So I called a different locksmith he came out Did the same job half the time.. What he found is that LOCK MASTERS did not complete the job fully which caused the CPU to not work properly.. After fixing the Vehicle Engine Computer he fix the key they half made... I would not recommend LOCK MASTER to anyone... There are better nicer locksmith that need work out there... After the post from LOCK MASTER on McKinley I know exactly who I gave my money to.. This just proves my point. You take the money and forget your customers.. ***WARNING**** I had the most upsetting experience with this locksmith who is owned and operated by Daniel Leyva. I called on Key/Lock Master to reprogram and make a new key for my vehicle. A technician was sent out which he never provided his name. He took my entire steering column apart, I told him the battery was dead but he said it wasn't a problem, Wrong! It was a problem once it came time to do the programming and the portable little battery charger he put on wasn't working. I would go outside to check on his progress and either he would answer "I'll let you know when I'm done" or he was talking on his phone and wouldn't acknowledge me. In the end he couldn't do anything (he said would take 45mins turned into 3hrs) he said I had to charge my battery or get a new one, I said a new one is like $2-300 and before I could finish my sentence his response was "well I don't know but that's not my problem" I told him I wasn't saying it was your problem I was just going to say that I would have it charged and he again said "I don't know what you're going to do but it's not my problem". After that I was mad. I just told him then..now what's going to happen? Said he'd come back tomorrow but don't touch anything in the car. Today I called the original number given which is to Daniel Leyva and he said he would come out today then I began to tell him about experience and he told me basically that "Customers Shouldn't ask any questions about what they're doing or know what's going on" I told him I didn't know he was going to take my car apart (figuratively speaking) and he said "he didn't take your car apart and this is why customers Shouldn't ask questions because they don't know what they're talking about". I told him I was a paying customer who just wanted to know how things were going. Well he was going to come by to finish the job today but since he got attitude and I told him, now I understand why your technician was rude and I just needed my car put back together and he said "since he's not getting paid that he'd come out sometime tomorrow." I was like why tomorrow you were set to come out today he said "that's cause I was going to get paid but since I'm not going to get paid I'm not going out there to waste my time, my tech already wasted his time yesterday" The photos are of how my vehicle was left and the fb page of their business which is actually called Key/Lock Master. Now I'm afraid that because of all this they're not going to reconnect everything correctly or just throw it all together because they "wasted theirtime", they gave a paying customer attitude and didn't get the job done as they claimed were able to do! FYI.. I WAS GOING TO PAY $320 so yes as a paying customer I wanted to know progress because $320 is not pocket change for me!! ****Final Update... Since my last nightmare encounter with Daniel from Lock Masters, I had to file a claim with the Bureau Of Automotive Repairs. They helped me get results by contacting Lock Masters and of course Daniel being a man with No Integrity twisted everything to seem as if there was a lack of communication but I speak fluent Spanish and English so,lie! Anyway, Daniel showed up this morning with the key and allowed me to test drive the vehicle With the inspector because I for some reason was going to drive off in my parked vehicle that's parked in my own front yard to possibly not return‍! Inspector & I drove around the block and I paid the man his $320! He promised a free 2nd key when I took down the FB review( A man of his character doesn't give anything free unless he gets or wants something in return) BUT since he went back on his word (which I absolutely expected from him), I can only update everyone about the end of my nightmare experience with Daniel Leyva from Lock Masters! So I cant say this loud enough...I do NOT recommend this lock smith to anyone and if you do choose to use their establishment, get everything in writing, text or messenger due to the lack of Integrity and horrible customer service! read more

The man is very straight to the point. I'm not an expert on Locksmithing or Locksmithing prices but I paid $390 to get a replacement key for my 03 Mercedes. Mercedes dealership was going to charge me $325 but with a 2-3 wait because the key was going to come from Texas but I'm pretty sure I would've have to tow it to the dealer and wait. so $390 on the spot or wait 2-3 days and possibly waste more money. I called this company and they guaranteed that they could make a key for my car but they said I would need to bring it to their shop. Since my keys were lost, I paid a tow company to deliver my car as requested. They then said they would need a few days to get it done. Fine, I can wait a few days. A week later, still not done. They continued to say that it WILL get done, they just needed more time. So the weeks went by which then turned into two months. Seriously, TWO MONTHS! I finally said I can't wait any longer and asked them to tow it to another place. They refused to do so. So I paid to tow it there, waited two months and then paid to take it elsewhere. I would NEVER recommend this business to anyone. I spent $150 and two months for NOTHING!!! If they were honest they would have said "hey, we can't figure out how to make a key for your car so we'll pay to tow it somewhere that can". Nope. All they said was "sorry, it's not our problem". I took them back and the manager was too busy to deal with me or even talk to me?? What crappy customer service! Called to have a door lock and ignition cylinder changed to a new key. I told them I already pulled them out of the car. They quoted me two times the amount that the Dealer wanted for a complete new ignition kit and door lock, and I had to delver them to their shop. Way to expensive for five minutes worth of work. I cant speak to their work as they were way to expensive for me to even consider. From what they quoted me I figured out that they make around $4500.00 an hour!!!! read more

Daniel has saved me and my customers hundreds of dollars in unnecessary repairs and tons of time and headaches. I love LOCK MASTERS!!! Just one quick example: i was trying to change ignition lock cylinder on 1996 Chevy Pickup. Was good, got my key to program to my car though. Very fast and easy, I'm only mad at the fact that I was over charged. I have a 09 Jaguar XF and was charged $400 dollars for an after market key fob, knowing damn well they're only about $40 on Amazon. Dude charged me $480 for his service. I specifically asked him if the key was OEM, upon arriving to my house, I repeatedly asked about the key, he seemed reluctant to show the actual key fob til the job was done. He also came to my house close to 10 PM. I'm very glad he got the key to work, but I'm mad because I paid for an OEM key but was given an after market key. read more

I needed a key for a 2013 Prius. The dealer quoted $350 for the key fob and programing. Other locksmiths were about $250, in part because they needed a new key fob to start with. Lock Masters said they could reprogram a key fob from an older Prius I had, and they did it for $160. Still a lot to pay for programing, but I saved $90 and am happy.
