Aaron (owner of the biz) came out right on schedule, re-keyed several locks for us, installed a new front door lock, correctly installed a lock that had been put in wrong by our handyman, made sure all our locks were moving like butter, and was in and out in 30 minutes! His fee, including cutting us six new keys, was a paltry $80! Incredible! Aaron was friendly, professional, obviously is an expert at his trade, and was a pleasure to have here. I had serious issues with the work that was done by Jiffy Fix. After they gave me a quote of $400…read more(!) to adjust my basement door for a gap that was letting cold air in, they just put weather stripping around it. After they did this, the door could not be locked or even latched. All someone had to do was push it to open it from the outside. It did not appear to have been adjusted at all; just the weather strip added. When I complained, they tried to justify it which was just nuts! I could not latch or lock the door! We didn't talk about hardware for the screen door, which I take partial responsibility for, but what was used was entirely wrong for that kind of old fashioned door. The latch area looked like it was carved out with a dull knife. I've attached pictures. The lock on the door to the deck is acceptable, although it appears to have been installed backwards/upside down (?) so that it looks unlocked when it's locked and locked when it's unlocked. They were supposed to sand and stain my front door, but I canceled because of the problems we had with the other work. I was charged $95 anyway even though they didn't touch it because it was included in the quote I received for the other work. I would have thought they would waive that fee since we were so far apart in our expectations. I paid it because I signed a contract. I would have never allowed them near my beautiful, but weathered, front door after experiencing their other work. I'm really not a picky person and I tend to give people the benefit of the doubt. But this was ridiculous.
