I lived just across the street in a RV community. So it was close to home and it was close to where I worked on NAS Corpus Christi. It was convenient. July 4 2023 my unit was broken into. over 2000 dollars of property was stolen. I received ONE phone call which I missed. The voice message informed me that they noticed the lock was missing. But it was clear that my unit was broken into. It was Four days later when I realized SAFE Guard had called and left a message. Four days days the rest of my property was left exposed to more theft because they put no priority on my property to call me again. Three other units at this foul business were also broken into that weekend. They didn't call the police or file a report with the local police. The lighting was severely inefficient. (IT WAS DARK AT NIGHT)Most of the bulbs were broken and not fixed. Minimal security cameras and the few that were there looked fifty years old. After walking the property it was clear the lock lasps on the units many have been broken into. They don't improve the integrity of their locks. They just have "patches" to fix the broken into locks. Or they just replace the broken into locks with the same type of failed locks. Do not use this facility. Many attempts made to speak to management thru email and phone calls. Crickets. Was told by a worker that she didn't have a supervisor. Sorry. SMH. Was going to sue them but with the luck of the gods I obtained employment which enabled me to move from that wretched city. I can't prove this at all. But I really believe that the theft of property was an inside job. Too much to write on this review to go into detail. Very important to note...The video surveillance showed the thief had the gate code and entered freely through the gate. THREE months after the theft of my property the gate code WAS NEVER CHANGED. NEVER. I kept an open account with them only to document in my law suit that they NEVER CHANGED the codes to the gate. Or made any other improvements to prevent theft at this storage facility.

The The Storage Company changed management sometime in 2012 and I find the current management…read moredifficult to work with. I've rented storage space with them since 2007. I've always paid rent on time and 6 months in advance to get the 7 month's rent free. Although my next payment was not due until Oct. 1, today I got a delinquent notice in the mail because the management had changed the terms in Paragraph 6 , Special Provisions, of the "Self Service Storage Rental Agreement" without notifying me in writing. When I expressed my concern, the management told me that businesses changed policies all the time without notification. Management was argumentative and unreasonable but later agreed to wave the late fee. Also without notification, I was informed that The Storage Company no longer honors Paragraph 38 of the Rental Agreement which entitles tenants refunds of prepaid rents. The management would not give out the owner's phone number; however, it was said that one of the owners, Lindsey Adame, would be given my phone number and she would return my call. I then researched the owners of the company and located the phone number, and when I called, the owner wasn't available. I left a detailed message. I now wait for their reply.

Had a reservation with this location for a U-Haul truck. I even stopped in more than five hours…read moreearly just to make sure that I would not have any issues when I stop by later to pick the truck up. Then get a notification from Uhaul that the truck is no longer available. Why did the lady show me the keys that were assigned to me as well as the truck when I stop by to confirm everything? I'm now going to be late getting moved and I am absolutely disappointed. The service at this location is not good, do not trust these employees.

They have a 24 hr. hotline when the office is closed after hours. Good management, professional billing and email reminders. I'm about to check out their moving trucks so I'll update once my experience is completed.
