Absolutely PERFECT! Melissa is AWESOME! Wouldn't go anywhere else for anything photo related. Fast,…read moregreat with kids, attentive, understanding and a phenomenal photographer. Took our pictures on 2 hours notice and then hand delivered the CD to me at my home. Highly HIGHLY recommend Melissa to anyone looking for photos for any reason or occasion!

I had a lot of hope from Melissa and her team, but my daughter's first birthday pictures were quite disappointing. I liked Melissa as a person but I didn't get what I had imagined in the pictures. Pictures were edited very poorly, moments weren't captured well, and we received quite a few pictures that were blurry. When you pay certain amount of money for photography, you expect the quality too. I am just starting to create an album for my daughter's birthday (which was in July) and I am even more disappointed than I was when I first received the photos back in July. I literally am editing every picture I have chosen for the album because either the lighting is off or cropping is done poorly or the quality is just overall mediocre. I imagine Melissa probably takes great portrait pictures (which she did a decent job with for my daughter's pictures) but not sure about active eventful photos.

The portraits turned out beautiful and truly look like artwork. Pricing is on the higher side, but the quality and overall experience make it worth it. I would definitely recommend them if you want something special for your home.

My husband and I want to warn others about our experience with this portrait studio. He "won" a…read moregiveaway for a free 14-inch portrait valued at $1500, which sounded amazing--especially since it included our dog. But the entire process felt like a setup to upsell us. Deposit & Scheduling To claim the "free" portrait, we had to put down a $200 deposit that we'd lose if anything went wrong. They pressured us to schedule within 2-3 weeks. Communication was terrible--we couldn't get anyone on the phone to confirm our appointment time and had to guess when driving an hour to Fort Worth. They finally called mid-drive. Tip: triple-check your appointment because they won't. Photoshoot The shoot itself was great. The photographers were kind and good with our dog. No complaints there. Where It Goes Wrong After the photoshoot, we were shown a slideshow and taken into a sales room. They never clarified what size the "free" portrait actually included. They immediately pushed the biggest sizes first, and we fell in love with a 30-inch portrait--until we heard the price. We felt pressured and, emotionally, we caved and bought it. No Flexibility After Purchase We had major buyer's remorse. We had just paid for a wedding, were dealing with a family emergency, and ended up dipping into our honeymoon fund. When we called to cancel, they refused and basically said, "You signed the paperwork. If you don't proceed, we'll take this to court." No empathy at all. Bottom Line The "free portrait" giveaway is a classic bait-and-upgrade tactic. Be very careful, do not sign anything unless you're 100% sure, and avoid this place if you're not prepared to spend thousands. We deeply regret going and hope this review helps someone else avoid the same trap. In the end, we never received our "free" portrait.
