Right at the entrance to Perugia airport this little rustic building has recently been tastefully restored to become a restaurant, bar and hotel with about 12 rooms. it's perfect if you're either coming from, or going to, the airport. The decor is eclectic, blending ancient and modern, exposed brick and funky lighting. Stand at the sink in the washroom and you'll find a sheet of glass beneath your feet, which is all that separates you from the 20 metre deep well beneath!
We stopped for a buffet lunch, which was delicious and good value, at just €12/head, including wine and coffee. There's a beautiful terrace outside, but we chose the air-conditioned interior, on a hot August day. The owners were charming and helpful.
