And since this was our first meal in Italy, we wanted to start the trip with Pizza. So we arrive here at 11.45am and decided to wait as the restaurant opens at 12pm. We waited and were about to leave around 12.30pm when it finally opened. So glad it opened before we left because it was one of the top 5 pizzas we ate on our trip in Italy. Aldo, the owner and one man army greeted us with a warm smile and even though we don't speak or understand Italian and he did not speak or understand English(he does understand basic), we were able to communicate and were asked to wait. 10 minutes later, trays of fresh baked pizzas were brought out. The way it works(as we understood) is that he makes these trays of pizza and you can requested slices of your choice and he cuts them into pieces as big/small as you want. You pay by weight of the slices. It is Roman style pizza, crunchy at the bottom with just the right amount of toppings on the top. With no breakfast had in the morning, we went ham on the pizzas. We tried a slice each of Margarita, Porcici fungi and my husband also tried Salsiccia, which he said was his fav! Now I was still hungry and I explained that I don't eat meat. He asked me to wait 5 minutes and he baked Zucchini with Bufala Mozzarella specially for me. And that pizza my friends was the BOMB!!! My mouth is salivating just thinking about it. He is the nicest person you will ever meet and even though it got really busy at the restaurant really fast, he still went out of his way to bake it. The best Euro8 we have ever spent!!!!!!
