Prepared food vendors include a couple of Mexican fruit stands and King David Tacos. I recommend the fish tacos. There are at least three or four vendors selling high quality produce, a couple of meat vendors including duck, and farm fresh eggs. There are a couple of bakeries and blended honey from Remsburger's. I've been obsessed with their cranberry honey! They give out samples and even have little pixie stix for the kiddies that are only a quarter. A surefire way to keep eager and excited that kids occupied while you make the rounds, lol. One of the farmers has tons of apples. Surprise , its New York state- but they also have apple cider and cider donuts which you can get plain or sugared. It's best if you go to them when the market first opens. That's when they're actually close to warm and tasty. Otherwise it's just dry and no amount of apple cider is going to help. For entertainment, there's usually a couple of bus game musicians. The last time I went there was a saxophonist and what sounded like a Appalachian fiddling group. Another time they had a marimba player and they were really really good. Check out the video!

I was walking around when i saw they were selling baked goods. The prices were great! I got 2 apple cider cinnamon sugar donuts for $1 and an apple crumble muffin for$2.50. The prices were great and the baked goods were even better!! They had other items as well as an apple cider drink. The staff were nice and explained their products. There was a small crowd for this small farmer's market but it is worth going to visit and buy fresh items.

I don't believe I haven't reviewed this amazing greenmarket, yet!…read more I am so grateful to live a few blocks from this weekly/bi-weekly market! It's open year round on Wednesdays and most of the year on Sundays (the last weekend this year was December 19th and they'll pick back up in the spring.) Wednesdays is generally the better day and I highly recommend the bakery for excellent baguettes and Stony Mountain ranch for killer bacon, sausage, fresh eggs, the best bone-in chicken breast I've ever had, and truly the cutest proprietor ever. (Off topic, but holy moly is he cute!) They also carry a wide range of other meats and I'm definitely going to grab one of their steaks or pork chops, soon! In the spring and fall, they have a great salad/lettuce vendor (usually on sale for 3 clamshells for $10), a mushroom vendor, and more vegetable/fruit vendors - including one who carries beautiful and reasonably priced flowers. There's also a great seafood vendor with the best scallops I've ever had, but they seem to appear more infrequently. I still do a big shopping at Grand Army once or twice a month to pick up flowers, seafood, and fruits and veggies during the cold months (when this market is pretty barren) but this little guy will always be my number 1.

This Greenmarket is a regular on Sundays in Carroll Gardens. As my previous review mentioned, they…read moredon't have many stands and they close too darn early compared to others. Their produce is fresh albeit pricey but farm to table and pesticide free is always the draw at these greenmarkets. From a bread stand and a variety of veggies to fruit, eggs and a fresh turkey stand, there's a good selection. I'm still a fan.

Oh, how times have changed since 2011. Actually, they haven't changed that much,* but they've…read morechanged enough that I couldn't let you go on without an update. (Because I care about you, dear reader.) This farmer's market is still a pretty good one. Unfortunately, we've lost Grazin' Angus (although, I'm told I should eat less red meat) and Divine Pickles (I miss those wasabi pickles), but there's still plenty of produce for you. All the tomatoes, greens, beans, nuts, mushrooms, cheese, eggs, flowers and other plants you'd ever want are here for the buying. You can also still grab: Tasty turkey sausage/burgers (and other items) from DiPaolo's. Crusty ciabatta (and other items) from Bread Alone. Whole chickens, primed for roasting. Duck bacon and/or rillettes. Burpless cucumbers. Overall, I've been happy with just about every purchase I've made here over the past few years. There was that one time that I bought an heirloom tomato that got crushed in the bag under other, heavier stuff, and leaked juice all over everything...I was sad about that. Then my cat decided to attack the other, $3 tomato as it sat in our fruit bowl. That was also disappointing, but he's a known asshole and we should've expected it. Anyway, what hasn't changed in the past half decade or so is that I think you should come here and buy delicious items from the vendors. Because the more you support the market, the more awesome vendors will show up. Therefore, by spending money here, you will really be increasing my quality of life. Sure, it'll be good for the whole neighborhood and the food industry in general, but let's be honest: I'm the one that really matters. ____________ *On the Carroll Gardens Greenmarket front. Lots of other things have changed, but this doesn't seem like the proper place to get into it.

I have two basic bones to pick with this famers' market. The first they can't really do a lot…read moreabout--the geography. Situated along narrow and cobblestone streets on the blocks around Ft. Greene Park, it is frustratingly crowded and sometimes just not easy to walk around and navigate. I realize they probably don't have other options, but it nonetheless discourages attendance or makes me rush through to get out of dodge as quickly as possible. The other nuisance I feel like they could have some control over, and that is how short the hours are/how early the market closes. I swing by around 12-1pm and most of the stands are closed or closing up. I lived for years near the two park slope/prospect heights markets and felt like you could still stroll in at 2-3 to a still-thriving scene (and more comfortably stroll!). There are a lot of great vendors and quality produce here for you once you wade through the crowds--lots of fresh fruit and veggies of course, but also cheesemongers, shops selling meat, charcuterie, bread, mushrooms... quite she smorgasbord. it ultimately feels a bit petty and silly to complain at all about having a nice farmers' market nearby.--I am ultimately grateful this spot is within walking distance of my home. But it feels like it could be a much better experience for shoppers--like it's just slapped together without much care for visitors' experience, particularly when compared to other city farmers' markets I have experienced.
