A family member arrived in the evening--after dinner had supposedly been served and the day staff had left--only to find my grandmother lying helplessly in bed with a fork and knife in her hands, completely untouched food beside her. She had been "tucked in" for the night without ever being fed. Why? Because she couldn't feed herself and no one bothered to help her. This wasn't a mistake--this was abuse. Clinical, institutionalized abuse. The way this facility treats the elderly is sickening. It is beyond neglect--it is a form of sanctioned torture. We witnessed it ourselves. There is no compassion, no dignity, no humanity. Just apathy and cruelty. No one--no one--should ever be subjected to what our grandmother experienced here. This place should be investigated for elder abuse immediately. What's happening behind these walls is unconscionable, and people need to know.

Vijay (an RN at a highly-respected hospital) and Sally (an extremely experienced and knowledgeable caregiver) are the key individuals who make this facility so rare in terms of providing "loving care" to the residents. The facility is clean, Covid-free, and located in a quiet neighborhood. My father has been very pleased with his care, and I have been very pleased with the constant communication they have maintained with our family. Even an independent hospice agency's team who are providing support to my father admitted that he is receiving excellent care in this facility.
