The fried cheese is very different from your other standard cheeses or mozzarella sticks. The cheese is much more firm with a light fry. The cup of bacon is fatty, salty, with a tiny bit of sweetness. The ricotta gnocchi bolognese has some amazing fresh gnocchi. The bolognese sauce was okay so it's a fine dish but I probably wouldn't get it again. The duck poutine has delicious fresh fries that end up crisp topped with tons of cheese and gravy. Not a lot of duck, but a great poutine overall. Every item is always a treat and unique and makes me want to try the whole menu.

The food was very inventive; not your typical fare even for a bistro. I started with the lobster tater tots that were served with ranch. This had a large helping of pork that did well with the Asian flavors and that crispy rice for texture; I would recommend. My final was the miso butterscotch tart. You can't go wrong with a dessert that has butterscotch, Biscoff, marshmallow and miso. The only criticism I could make was that the tart was pretty loose, but that did not take away from the flavor. To drink this place has lots of beer taps, a good selection of wine and plenty of interesting cocktails. I chose to have a couple beers and they were both very tasty. I would like to come back with additional people so that we could try more of the menu items. Unfortunately, it is an hour away from where I live, but the next time I find myself down in the springs, I will return.

Not sure how to describe our recent visit…read more The food was great as always but we'll have to see if the pic can show the difference between our orders from the last time we ordered the lettuce tacos. We were there on a Saturday and the service was very very slow. Our server had a definite attitude and wasn't friendly. He took our beverage order and brought us our ice cold beers and didn't come back for over ten minutes to take our order. We asked for more salsa and he brought more back and he asked if we wanted more chips. In the time between reviews, we have visited the restaurant at least four-five times and have recommended to friends and family. Each time we knew we would be charged for the extra salsa and never have been charged for chips too! What made this visit even worse was he brought the tacos out with maybe two slices of red onion for three tacos. We asked for more garnish and he brought us a bowl and preceded to charge us $2.00? Yikes. Anyways not sure if and when we will go back. Service is half the experience and we have never had this issue when the owners are in the restaurant. Hope they fix the issue soon as there is another local restaurant that has had issues and their scores on yelp keep dropping...
