Larchmont Meateria is one of many hidden treasures troves located in Larchmont nestled in a huge…read moreshopping center the size of a New York City block. I've started shopping here in 2002 so I've had a pretty good feel of the foods they serve and what kind of service is provide f here. Very high quality food and a very high standards of customer service. People come dressed as they are , casual, work attire, or street attire. I am not saying that there aren't but I have not seen a brown person come in here. If they do it's not often. I normally buy the white fish sandwich, it spreads like a tuna fish sandwich. They also serve delicious hot foods, gourmet foods and various salads. Off and on as any business expects, workers come and go. I've always had pleasant interactions with the employees and satisfactory service up until 4/4/2026. Twenty Four years of exemplary service, says a lot about any organization that has high standards. I go in to get food from the deli section. A lady with a Spanish background says " how may I help you. I told her that I wanted a half pound of gigante Beans and a half pound of shrimp. She scoops up the gigante beans with no problem, now she goes for everything that I didn't ask for. I saw her scooping up three bean salad. Whoa whoa, I want shrimp she says you don't want this? I repeated , I want shrimps! She scoops up shrimp salad, me again! No, I want shrimp. She puts the shrimp salad back and starts fussing and making a scene talking in Spanish and the co worker is practically glued to her side. That's how close they were. I guess she didn't know what s h r I m p was. But I guess he helped her, I didn't understand She finally gives me shrimp but it's pouring over the container and she has to squish it down with the lid. I have to say, I'm not trying to offend anyone here, it's just what happened. Talking about no analytical skills or the ability to comprehend what I'm telling you. It's like going to McDonald's and asking for a sausage biscuit and they ask you do you want sausage egg and cheese biscuit. Nonsense! So she rings it up on the scale and tags it as smoked salmon and charges half of $29.99. I returned to the store, looked for the price, and asked the cashier what did the deli clerk sell me. He asked, who help me, and I said well since you asked. I felt like a snitcher, I let all of the beans out the bag, sir she did this, that, and ain't it is. (Southern vernacular). The cashier refunded $1.50 and apologized profusely. In all the years I've been buying here, I have never dealt with any employee that felt so complacent with repeatedly getting an order wrong and have the audacity to complain, for the lack of her ability to understand. I will say, I'll go back again and again because the food is really good and they have vegan options, I just won't go to her and if she's the only one I see, I'll ask for someone else to help me or I'll skip it for that day! But it won't phase me, I'll still... Inspire more, Yelp more!

It serves the new condos that were erected and finished months earlier. Walking inside DeCicco you can quickly grasp that this store is known for its high quality, in food and service. Look at the video that shows how organized this grocery chain is. The merchandiser makes and breaks a sale. That being said this store is successful all around. People come in casual attire, work attire, corporate attire and dressed down, due to it being strategic located on the boarder of New Rochelle and Larchmont. I had the avocado and salmon sushi and shrimp tempura. I have been eating here since opening but never tried the sushi. It was really good but I felt like a dragon when I consumed the wasabi mixture. I had to get a Napoleon for dessert. I've only found two that taste great and made to perfection. DeCicco is a great choice! Inspire more,Yelp more!

Village Square Bagel is a staple in this community, serving delicious bagels and sandwiches…read morethroughout the Larchmont and Mamaroneck area. My first experience was in the summer of 2005, I purchased a bagel, cream cheese and lox. Through the years I've used Village Square Bagel on several occasions to cater Christmas breakfast for subordinates, ongoing for 16 years. Coming in today was a bit different. Although I was greeted and welcomed, it appeared there was a failure in communication. I had to keep repeating my order. There is a serious language Barrier that hindered the young lady from determining what a question was and a request. I asked what kind of pasta salad she says okay pasta salad for you what else. I ordered an Everything toasted bagel, scallion cream cheese, and lox. It came with a pasta salad and little bitty, eenie weenie side salad. The bagel taste very fresh, the scallion cream cheese tasted like regular creme cheese, and the lox hit a Grand Slam. Whoa! The taste was savory, like melt in your mouth. I wish it was a sandwich that really took long to eat because I could not get enough of that taste. (OMG I'm salivating) I had plenty of omega 3 healthy fats this morning, see the pics. The salads were something to write home about. All of this for $16.46 with an added on coffee for $1 plus a refill, WHAT A BARGAIN! I've seen it all here, the ambiance is casual, but people come as they are, be it works attire early A.M. and Dressed for the commuters into Larchmont. Not many locals come in Dressed attire, they're to busy running for the Metro North train- redline, into Manhattan! Of course there is room for improvements: having a cleaner dining area for those like myself that didn't want to eat and drive. Better yet. Have someone monitor the dining area because it really doesn't make sense for it to be that messy! And I can't say much about who they hire but comprehension and analytical skills need improvement. Lastly, the coffee is in a container so it's not hot, hot. Like THAT hot, it's almost hot. Okay? Belly full, refilled coffee to go. Next stop, get air in my tire and off to Queens. Having lived in the northwest corner of CT for the last 10 years, my desperation for bagels has skewed my thoughts on Village Square. Everything was fine. Did no harm. But nothing but my nostalgia made me happy to be there. Bagel had a good mouth feel, but toppings on my everything bagel didn't taste like much and they were sparse. My scallion cream cheese was perhaps packed in the same room as a scallion, but I couldn't find one in the mix and didn't taste like much. Atmosphere was everything I was looking for. Simple deli. Ample coffee. Good folks in and out. Service was fine. Didn't add or detract. If in the area for more than a day, find better. I'm sure they're out there. If visiting like me, it scratched the itch. *for fun I tried some shrimp salad too. Not even any salt or pepper. Everything is fresh and fine. Just really really bland. Ps - huge disappointment that they didn't have Taylor Ham and one counter worker didn't know what it was.
