Buyer beware! I used this service in the past and so I called to book an appointment. My phone call was met with the most unprovoked aggression as well as a slew of profanities. I ended the phone call in shock and disbelief. How could this request: "I'm calling to see if I can book an appointment to get my chimney sweeping done" turn into a barrage of swearing. I am so confused. Lacking professionalism and from the aggression presented over the phone, you may be putting yourself in physical danger soliciting services from this business. BEWARE. read more

Rude, inappropriate and racist, the most unprofessional business person I have ever spoken with. Totally appalling behaviour, DO NOT use this business. I found the number throughout a local google search and called. I was greeted by a gentleman with a heavy accent (this is a pointless fact but the only way to identify him as I do not know his name) and the business name. I then responded with my inquiry to have a quote for repairing my chimney. This gentleman then went on a rant about the Chinese culture with too many explicit details and inappropriate racist comments to mention. I was taken totally by surprise and proceeded to say excuse me, after which he hung up on me before I could get another word out. I realize now that he probably saw my last name on his phone because I did not say my name and, I do not have an accent as I unfortunately do not speak any language other than English. I called Paul on the day of our chimney cleaning appointment and asked him if he's ok for us to have him do his job in our house alone while we go and run some errands with our kids. I mean it was really just a question, we've had positive experience of letting people working in the house alone and so on. But he took it to another level, after I asked him, he questioned me back with some disrespectful comments and told me to cancel the job instead which I did and I am very happy that I did cause I would never want to hire such a rude person. There's hundreds of chimney cleaning companies out there guys, please don't go with Paul. read more

i guess they don't need the business! tried to call them and as the connection was not the best I said I can hear u properly! they berated me to try another business as they don't speak another language if I don't speak English. very rude and hang up on me! i thought this is a misunderstanding! called them up and they said the same thing! insufferable! read more

This was the strangest encounter I have ever experienced from a residential tradesman. And I am a partner of a design build firm, so that should say a lot. Paul first arrived at my front porch to greet me by saying "oh, you are very young. How old are you? I mean you look so young" and maybe repeated this 2-3 times. I am in my thirties, have 2 kids and another on the way, so at first I didn't know how to respond but figured I should take his odd greeting as a compliment. But then he continued on by saying how he has worked in some houses in Rosedale or Forest Hill who young people owned so they must have been purchased by their parents. Oh and he said many of them were Jewish. My house is on a small street in the beaches and nowhere even close to those impressive neighbourhoods, so I'm not entirely sure what his point or rant was about.. Even if he had prejudice against anyone younger than him owning homes in the city, his candour was very inappropriate and in hindsight, offensive. Staying friendly and just ignoring all that, I welcomed him inside, where he then proceeded to walk over to my living room, looked at my fireplace, asked me "so this is the only fireplace?" To which I responded, yes as described over the phone. He walked up to it, looked at it, mumbled that it looked to be an insert retrofitted into an original fireplace, turned around and walked towards the door. As he collected his things he said he could not do anything, then walked to his car and said nothing more. No explanation, no conversation, he came back for his second bag, said not a peep as I asked him what the situation was, and walked off to his car and drove off. I tried calling his cell to discuss further to understand why he could not clean the chimney, and have not been able to get ahold of him.
