Terrible Experience, Avoid Locafella Loc Studio I recently visited Locafella Loc Studio with high hopes of receiving quality service and professional care for my locs. Unfortunately, my experience turned out to be an absolute nightmare, leaving me deeply disappointed and frustrated. First and foremost, the customer service at Locafella Loc Studio was abysmal. The staff members were incredibly rude and unprofessional from the moment I walked through the door. It seemed as though they had no interest in assisting customers or providing any form of assistance. Their lack of basic courtesy was genuinely shocking. Moreover, the overall atmosphere of the studio was far from inviting. The space was poorly maintained, with a noticeable lack of cleanliness. The waiting area was cluttered and unkempt, making me question the studio's commitment to hygiene and professionalism. Furthermore, the appointment scheduling system was a complete mess. Despite booking my appointment well in advance, I was kept waiting for an unreasonable amount of time. The staff seemed disorganized and incapable of managing their schedule efficiently, which resulted in an unnecessary waste of my valuable time. When it finally came time for the service, I was utterly disappointed with the results. The stylist lacked the necessary skills and expertise to handle my locs properly. The hairstyle I requested was executed poorly, and I left the studio feeling dissatisfied and embarrassed. To make matters worse, when I expressed my concerns and dissatisfaction to the staff, they showed no interest in addressing the issue or rectifying the situation. Their dismissive attitude and refusal to take responsibility for their subpar service were beyond frustrating. Considering the exorbitant prices they charge for their services, I expected nothing short of excellence. Unfortunately, Locafella Loc Studio failed to meet even the most basic standards of customer service, professionalism, and skill. In conclusion, I strongly advise anyone considering visiting Locafella Loc Studio to steer clear. The poor customer service, unprofessional staff, and disappointing results make this establishment unworthy of your time and hard-earned money. Save yourself the headache and find a reputable loc studio that actually values its customers. read more

I cannot say enough good things about Jasmin and everyone at Locafella's. I found this location right here on Yelp after looking for somewhere to take my son to get his locs started. We have been coming here since January and we will not be going anywhere else. My son is on the spectrum and he hates having his hair done. All his life this has been a struggle. I have either cut it bald myself or let him grow an Ice Cube fro LOL. Eventually he decided he wanted to try locs. I knew I needed a place where he could feel calm and someone who would be gentle. I started by contacting Jasmin on instagram to let her know my concerns before booking and to get some information on the process and upkeep. She was very kind and took the time to talk to me about everything before I booked my appointment. When we arrived for our appointment we found the location to be clean, quiet with lovely music playing, everyone was welcoming and it was nice and cool inside even with the heat outdoors. My son sat for Jasmin for all the hours it took to get his hair done and did not cry or squirm ONCE! This may not sound like a lot to some people, but this was a first for me. I literally cried and hugged Jasmin when she was done. This woman has a beautiful spirit which shines through and even my son could tell he was in good hands. Her work is also immaculate, his hair came out great as you can tell from the pics. Everyone else at her studio is also awesome. Though Jasmin does not keep many hours at this location anymore we are still able to get appointments with her here as the other location is a little to "busy" for my son and he feels more comfortable here (plus he likes going to the cookie shop down the way lol). Once when we weren't able to get an appointment with Jasmin at at time that fit our schedule I made an appointment with someone else and then screwed up by putting in my calendar at the wrong time so I showed up two hours late (doh!). Everyone was so kind! They not only comforted me for being an idiot, but another loctician stepped in and did my son's hair during her break between clients! And she also did an awesome job. You can't go wrong by putting your locs in the hands of these ladies. Highly recommend! read more

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Locafella Studios, and I must say, it was an unforgettable experience! My loctician, AB, is an absolute gem - not only is she incredibly talented at what she does, but her energy is unmatched. From the moment I walked in, I felt so comfortable and welcomed by her warm, positive vibe. She's not just a stylist; she's an artist who truly listens to her clients and ensures they leave with exactly what they envision. AB's attention to detail and expertise in loc maintenance and styling is beyond impressive. She took the time to educate me on the process and made sure my hair was perfectly styled and healthy. You can tell she genuinely loves her craft and cares about the long-term health of your hair. What really set Locafella Studios apart, though, was the overall atmosphere. The salon had such a fun, lively, and diverse energy. It felt like a space where creativity and individuality were celebrated. The conversations flowed easily, and I was surrounded by people who were all enjoying the experience. The diversity in clients and staff made it clear that Locafella Studios is a place where everyone is welcome, and you're bound to feel right at home no matter your background. If you're looking for a place where you'll not only get top-notch hair care but also leave with a smile, I highly recommend AB and Locafella Studios. It's truly a special place where talent, great energy, and creativity come together in the best way possible! Salute to Jasmine & all of her wonderful locticians!! read more

Very impressed with this establishment!! From the moment I walked through the door You can feel such an amazing vibe!!!! After months of trying to find a Loctition who can take on my hair I finally found the right one!!! From start to finish Brittney was so kind!!! To say she's talented would be an understatement!!!!!!! Her work exceeded beyond my expectations. When I first sat in her chair I didn't have a clue what I wanted. Any great stylist should be able to create something great without hesitation. And she did just that not once did I give her a picture to look at, nor did I give her any suggestions. She was so confident in her work and I appreciate that. She was easy to talk to you, very knowledgeable about hair care. When finished with my hair I asked to use the restroom as I'm walking to the back I'm noticing how spotless this shop is!!!!!As I enter the bathroom i'm beyond impressed!!! Big spacious bathroom. Everything was so tidy and clean!!!! They even have candles burning through out the shop. All the staff members were very friendly!!!! My experience here has been amazing!! Before I pulled out of the parking lot I booked another appointment!! Definitely recommend this establishment!! read more

I'm truly blessed to have found Ab, aka The Fair Loc Mother and The LocAFella establishment! My journey has been life-changing! After months of searching through hundreds of hairstyles that weren't what I was looking for, I almost gave up and cut my hair, but then I came across Ab's page, which far exceeded all expectations! Her attention to detail is breathtakingly inspiring! Unmatched expertise, even among top celebrity stylists! I booked her instantly! As a loc newcomer, I felt anxious, but Ab's kindness put me at ease. LocAfella's ambiance is delightful, offering exceptional customer service! Everyone welcomed me warmly! Ab ensured I felt comfortable, explaining the process and showcasing her skills! I was amazed that she could engage in conversation while doing my locs; I was mind-blown! Now that's a highly skilled multitasker! After she finished, she guided me on maintaining healthy locs and recommended natural products that LocAfella sells, making it easy for me to find everything I needed! I'm ecstatic to join the loc community! Book Ab soon and get ready for transformation! You will thank me later . Find her @Instagram/_foxflair. read more

I'm new to the area and was looking for a new place and person for my hair and I found it with Locafella Loc Studio. I first walked in to a great positive atmosphere of friendly people, everyone is always laughing and having a good time there. They had a live performance that I got to see while I waited which was really cool. The amazing artist that I got blessed with was Abrion Tucker, AB was super nice and great to talk to the entire time and she did an amazing job on my head, couldn't ask for more, it's perfect. I normally just let my dreads fall and don't do much to them, but she recommended a design that was beyond my expectations when I first walked in and looks amazing. I'm thankful that I went to this shop. They even have a barber in shop, CJ, who can cut perfectly, and is also great to talk to like everyone else in the shop. Feels like a family hangout in this shop, what's better than a place that makes you feel comfortable like being with family and gives you the best possible service at a very, very reasonable price? I'll definitely going back with AB and CJ routinely. I'm glad I found this gem of a shop in Fontana! read more

As consumers, we carry a certain expectation. That expectation can be exaggerated or underestimated... Booking my appointment for loc extensions carried a moderate expectation with me, mainly with price, something I will elaborate on later. My expectations were not only met, but I now have a new found expectation when it comes to receiving services for locs. The quality of service I received was/is unmatched! AB not only went above and beyond in customer service, but obliterated my understanding in the art that is locing! AB was fun, understanding, patient, and most important, cared about how I felt/looked. The price/money for the loc extensions was not the motivating factor in the quality of service AB provides. She is genuinely a passionate person in her art of locing. If you want loc extensions, regardless of your reasoning, see AB. She will do you beyond right. The vibes of locafella is a testament to the type of service you will receive. If you want to get professional work done on your locs...come here! I will let all that have locs know of this place! 100 professional and vibes! read more

I found locafella by luck & haven't went to anyone else since. My fiancé needed a retwist for a important event & his beautician canceled on him last min. I just knew I had to find someone fast! I searched all through Instagram, Facebook & Google & the same shop kept coming up so I knew it was a sign. So I decided to look into them. When I got on their website they had two locations one in LA & one in Fontana. I gave the one in LA a shot due to that being the closest. LA had so many beauticians with so much different experiences and talent it was so hard to choose! But I saw one beauticians work and knew she was the one! I booked with Paige. Her work is fast and neat! My man was so skeptical to try someone new but now this the only place he goes to! If you ever need a retwist or even want to start your loc journey this is your place to go!! So many talented beauticians you won't be disappointed! Well my hair was in very bad condition before coming here to Locafella. Had thoughts about cutting it earlier this summer until a friend had introduced the business to me in august. Ever since I started coming here to Locafella, my stylist Abrion and and all the other staff were very kind and reassuring about my hair. They were very clear of what needed to be done, told me the damage, we explored several options about what could be done to achieve my desired look. They're very understanding to my school and work schedule as well. They always have the best interest in your hair . Professional service ,making sure you leave every visit more than satisfied. My locs have came a long way from where they used to be in just 3 months by staying consistent with AB about hair care . She even wrote instructions on what I could do to maintain my crown . Couldn't have asked for any place better then Locafella! read more

Honestly... I did not expect to come across locafella loc studio while searching for a loc repair, but I'm so glad I did! I walked in today expecting the worst... but after the the session I can say this has to be the best service I've ever encountered from start to end. Here you'll definitely be taken care of the entire process was so smooth & professional I will definitely be back for my loc journey! I was introduced to the Fontana Locafella studio through my barber. My Locs were in need of maintenance and repair. I had the good fortune of having the Owner/Master Loctitian Jasmin become my stylist. The ambience and atmosphere of the Fontana location was inviting and relaxing. All the Loctition's are creative experts. I felt welcomed and appreciated. I get compliments all the time. My good fortune grew even more when I became a part of the advertisement for Locafella Loc studios. The energy and dynamic of that commercial is a memory that I will cherish for a very long time! I was recommended this shop by my husband after finally deciding to get loc extensions. Brittany did an amazing job. She went over the procedure, preparation, maintenance, which locs to purchase from a reputable business and answered any questions I had. My hair turned out great. She is very knowledgeable, precise and flexible. She was able to re-create a design from a picture I provided to her which I loved by the way and I have since booked all my re-twist appointments with her. Every re-twist appointment she ask me how am I doing with my hair, do I have any questions or concerns and give me tips to help maintain between my hair appointments. You can tell she really enjoys what she does and making the customer happy. I have since recommended this shop to people who stop me and ask about my hair. - Amber Gear read more

On May 17th, 2022, I visited Locafella Loc Studio's Fontana location for an appointment with Nesha Payne (@styledbyneshap on Instagram). The studio is easy to get to and accessible just off the 15 freeway with free lot parking. Upon entering the shop, I was impressed by the ambience (lighting, decor, music, and condition of each stylist's stations). The service I received from Nesha was phenomenal. From her asking me my gender pronouns to the timeliness and quality of her work, I was satisfied with my visit. I recommend visiting Locafella Loc Studio for your loc hair care needs and to feel a sense of community while being serviced. We want you guys to come to Jamaica with us next year! We are so glad we started this journey with Locafella. See you guys soon! -Leonie (AkA Donna) read more

So I had to write this review right away. I love research, it never lets me down. I'll start with…read morehow I heard about Luxury Hair, it was through yelp, facebook, and google reviews. I never just read one review. I read all of them!! Experiences can always be very different from people to people, and what I think may be very different then what another person may feel or think.. I was looking to get braids, mine you I've never had my hair braided. I just knew a look I wanted that was it. When I saw photos of some work of a young lady named Bridgette. I knew she was the one I wanted to try. 1st experience and impression: On line is the best way to reach out to this shop, when I called there was just an answering service. When inquired on line I had someone respond back to me within 30 mins. The Thing I loved was, that I mentioned who (Bridgette) I wanted services with and Bridgette contacted me. Bridgette reached out via text to see what I was looking for. After a few exchanges of texts and photos. I was ready to book my appointment. She gave me options on times which was nice. She also didn't make me feel stupid when I asked questions. I had called two shops before this one and when I asked questions they laughed at me and instantly felt stupid. I had no idea what I needed to buy as far as hair for the braids. "Remember I have never had them before." The Shop was clean and the staff was friendly. I was greeted right away and did not have to wait at all. Bridgette was on time to our appointment and very friendly. She got right to work. It's nice when people are easy going and friendly, especially when you're going to be sitting with them for two hours. Bridgette is sweet and honest, in the short time I was there I felt at home and very comfortable. She has an amazing eye and hand for the work she does. The braids were beautiful and very clean lines. Price were good. I had read online that I had to bring cash so I was prepared. Over all I had a great experience, people make your company and Bridgette makes Luxury hair shine bright! I give Bridgette personally 5plus stars and want to thank her for taking time to make sure my experience and hair was amazing!! Thank you Bridgette you are a talent, I'll be back because my husband love it!!

i absolutely hate leaving negative reviews but i have to . i paid a pretty penny only to leave with…read moremy hair damaged and not the style at all that i wanted . wouldn't recommend coming here if you are looking for a full head light dye /bleaching treatment . lady who helped me was named shirley. we did a hair patch test before even starting the process . and she deemed me good to continue on . in conclusion , my hair did not come out anything like i asked . it wasn't even bleached to the level i wanted nor was it toned properly . it turned out brassy yellow when i wanted a platinum / ash blonde . the lady who helped me continued to end the session and say we wouldn't continue and suggest i wait before puttin more color in my head . i paid $300 for an unfinished session and my sister paid $300 for an unfinished session . and i don't see what the point in doing a "strip test" first was if in the end it would turn up that my hair wouldn't be able to be finished . i honestly could have bleached my hair with bleach cream at home to look just like this i swear . and please start brushing hair from bottom to top to prevent breakage !!! but on a good note i will say she was very sweet the lady that helped me no doubt , but i am highly disappointed in the outcome of my hair . if stylist feel she couldn't have done it right i think she should have told me i would have been rather understanding . now im upset bc i spent $300 for my hair to not be what i expected .
