Tejero Highland and Adventure Park offers great outdoor activities and swimming facilities…read moreguaranteed to delight people of all ages. How to Get There: Ride a jeepney to Valencia (php12/person) from Dumaguete public market with a dropoff point in Valencia public plaza. From there, ride a trike going to the address. It's about 15-20 minutes and is located right along the road so you can't miss it. Fare is php40.00 - one way. Related Fees: Entrance : php60.00 per person - includes access to the pool area Cottage: php200.00 There are two types of pool area in the venue. The first one is where the pool is filled with water from the river and the other one is filled with chemical treated water. If you choose the latter, you will have access to two swimming pools, the first one just after you enter the premise and the other one just after it, separated by a pathway going down. The second pool area has slides if you're into that. Food is available in the venue's very own restaurant and they are cheap. You can choose to eat it inside the resto or bring it with you to your cottage. Price ranges between php120-250. Try their pizza, either the cheesy or the meaty variety. It's super affordable at just php200 (cheesy) and php250 (meaty). Soda, water, shakes, juices, etc can also be bought frommthe resto and they're also very affordable. For thrill seeking adventurers, you can opt to try out their ATV or Zipline. ATV rental is at php200-250 while zipline is at 150. It's just one way though so think about that. Don't forget to go down the hanging bridge just after the second pool area. You will have a majestic view of the water flowing from the mountain cascading from one huge boulder to the other. I was a bit hesitant to go to Tejero at first but I'm glad I did. It was all worth it. Try to reserve one day when you're in Dumaguete and visit this paradise. You'll be glad you did.

The view was absolutely DIVINE! (see what I did there? ;) We were greeted by a modest picture of an open concept structure. However as you draw near, you know that the simplicity was a perfect complement to the peaceful nature it rests upon. The nice breeze and sound of the sea welcomes your approach. What greets you in the lobby is the breathtaking view of the infinity pool leading towards the sea. My son loved it so much he quickly asked if he can jump in, and that he did. He stayed there the entire day I might add. Conveniently the rooms (all 9 of them) were just a few steps from the pool so it was not so hard to keep an eye out for him. The rooms are no suite but are adequately sized for a family of 3. They were clean with everything we needed. Surprisingly the beds and the linen sheets were hotel grade and yes I can tell they are because when you're pregnant you tend to be very picky and observant for such comforts. They even have a common kitchen but hardly used it. There is a restaurant nearby though so food wasn't an issue. Service was superb, staff - friendly, made us feel right at home. Apparently this location is close to adventures and tourist attractions. Kawasan Falls, Canyoneering and Sardine Run were just a few minutes away as we were told. Our intent was to go Whale Shark Watching in a neighbouring town, Oslob. Their staff was very accommodating to help us with arrangements. Oh and their English is superb so no worries in communication. The cherry on top to this beautiful place was the stunning sunsets as the days end. I wish I have words to describe the feeling when you see it but you will just have to be there to see and experience it for yourself. Memories were indeed made.

I used a tour company to book our time in the Philippines as there is a lot of coordination with Island hopping. I trusted all their choices and this one surely didn't disappoint. Located in a gated area with multiple levels of security, it was quiet and peaceful. We stayed during ESEAN, and even with extra events going on, the place was incredibly relaxing. Our room had its own pool. It 2as shared with 3 other rooms, but pretty much private and open 24 hrs. The room was spacious, clean and had everything we needed. A refillable water station was right outside our door. The food here is delicious. Breakfast was included with our stay and had so much variety. We ate seven meals on site and enjoyed it all. The grounds were fantastic! A big pool that never felt crowded, a couple restaurants, pool bar/restaurant, nightly welcome show, and more. A quick 5 minute tuktuk into town to enjoy an evening out was easy and convenient. I would definitely stay here again.

At first u was hesitant because I thought I would have to pay for a day pass or something. She assured me that it's housed on a public beach and that the resort lets non guest enter. I spent an entire day here and I was in awe. The workers were so nice and kind. You can use their beach chairs too! You are encouraged to order something but it's not forced upon you. Honestly I wish I knew about this place before. I recommend everyone to come here. very relaxing with a real wide beach and space to move around unlike Alona. Also no beach sellers! Just pure perfection.

Disappointing stay at Hennan Tawala. Hennan Tawala pool appears large but is actually 4 pools divided in 4 sections that doesn't even connect. Our room was far from the beach and still had some walking distance. Had issues connecting my devices to their WiFi. The pool water was cold. They have 2 jacuzzis but all had cold water too. This place charge more than the other hotels in the area for sub-par service. I was charged extra for my 8year old who is considered an adult in their perspective. We were also charged extra for towels we never redeemed. This place will find every reason to charge their customers extra. They will charge you extra if you try to bring food from outside to your room too. I must say the best part of our stay was breakfast & the worst part was the extra charges, cold showers, cold water, and COLD treatment from their manager specifically the front staff/manager Jonabelle when trying to reason regarding extra charges. This place was definitely EXTRA (charges) and so OVER-rated. Not too kid friendly as they charged extra for 6years and older. They do not offer anything for the kids except to take a dip in their frigid pools. We will not be returning nor will we recommend. Save yourself the money & headache because the pictures shown on their sites are all just sugar coating. Note:. Had I known Hennan Tawala would be so shady, we wouldn't have stayed there at all. we are getting far better treatment, shown more honesty, and feel more relaxed at a 3 star actual beachfront hotel in Panglao. Do better Hennan Tawala!!

It is not located on the beach, but it's in the center of the resort. You have three Henann hotels here's side by side. The service here at At Henann Alona, I think, is much better than any of the Henanns that I've stayed at in Boracay. The main negative here is that if you stayed at Henann before, you know they have some of the worst non-HD flat screen TV's of any major hotel chain in the Philippines. Also, the lighting in the bathroom is in need of more brightness at the mirrors, especially if you need to be looking at yourself shaving. Other than that, I think having a mini pool I didn't have to share was a plus.

I was weirded out by the booking process, which required submitting half the total cost of the stay via wire transfer or PayPal, which is something scammers do. Even more disturbing was that I messaged them via booking.com to accept that they recieved the deposit thru PayPal and they did not respond. In the US, this is discouraging for travelers since it is common practice to use credit cards since they are safer for the consumer. Luckily, it was not a scam and I was able to check in with no problem. It's worth noting that this property is cash only in every regard. They only accept cash, which means you need to bring a big wad of pesos with you. The bill on checkout is also paid via cash, as is the restaurant tab or any expenses you may incur. They should probably look into accepting at least Mastercard or Visa, since no credit card especially when reserving is a dealbreaker for cautious people. The resort is very small but very nice, with only a few bungalows. That meant we didn't really see many other guests for the duration of our stay. There is an onsite restaurant and a small but nice pool. There is a laundry service (3rd party, but handled by the property). They are also able to help you arrange tours and rides to and from the airport. They also rent motorbikes, if you are so inclined. I think the best way to describe this resort is, for private people who want to be left alone. The room itself was half of a duplex, with a nice bathroom and functional design. The air conditioner worked wonderfully, and I was able to have many nights of good sleep. The property itself is nicely maintained. We ate at the restaurant quite a bit, for breakfast and for dinner. The food is excellent quality and the prices are fair for the area. My only reservations about this property were that 1- It can be difficult to find, especially if you are unfamiliar with the area. Even some drivers had no idea where it was (across the FilOil gas station). 2- It's at the end of a dirt road, and the road can be difficult to walk especially when it rains 3- The property has some strange rules, but they're obviously in place because some guests did something crazy and made a need for the rules. I personally had no problem with the rules, because I have common courtesy, but I can see some people getting offended by them. 4- Only handsoap and shampoo (had to ask) for toiletries. The only resort out of 5 I stayed in during my trip with incomplete amenities. The front desk person told me that they're having an issue with the vendor regarding it, so it was unavailable.
