Absolute worst Hostel experience of my life. Do not stay here! I was assaulted by another hostel…read moreguest who sucker punched me and ended up knocking my two front teeth inwards. It was a completely unprovoked attack. The "experience" staff Yazmin and Romina completely failed to follow any proper protocol. They didn't call the police. They didn't call me emergency medical care. Instead, they left me to bleed all night by myself until I could figure out where to get emergency medical and dental services the next morning. Keep in mind it was also my birthday! Even though the guy who attacked me was also an American tourist, the hostel refused to release his name to me! He checked in on October 29th and they had all of his information and yet they still refused to give it to me so I could pursue charges. Cozme the manager said he would look into it and just kept pushing it off every day on purpose. Then they treated me like I was some outcast. Completely ignoring me and shunning me until I checked out on November 3rd. I had to get a emergency flight back home. I am currently undergoing medical and dental appointments to try and save my teeth. I may have to get fake implant teeth now and I'm an actor in New York City. Absolutely unacceptable behavior and failure to assist their guests in great times of need and emergency situations. That is not how you treat your human family. Hostel is a joke, pretty much run by "grown-up" children. They only care about partying and scamming guests for tours that they charge extra for to make money. Also, no hot water. Bathrooms that flood with peoples urine and other human waste. I wish I would have never stayed here. Completely ruined my 30th birthday trip and I'm now looking at months of medical and dental treatments.

I stayed at this hostel which is why I'm writing the review. It wasn't hostile here at all! So I…read moredon't know why they called it that?? ¡Good atmosphere! A lot of folks were saying 'Como Estas' - I appreciated this culture. Very friendly staff here - I liked them all (most of them (I'm kidding around)). There was a daily excursion to meet other folks. we played Uno at the cenote (even though there was some people not saying uno when they had one card left, but it's fine, I'm over it now). One guy even had a blue card and said 'blue-No', I didn't get the joke and I still don't. At the same cenote, there was a man who told us that if we jumped into the water w sunblock on, he would be mad & would sniff it out. I tested the theory and put a bit on my left thumb. He smelled it! Always listen to authorities in Mexico! Especially when you're extorted by the polica for not wearing a helmet on a moped. I told them I spoke English but they kept politely speaking Spanish - way to be patriotic guys! ¿Que Paso?

I absolutely loved this hotel. This is my third all-inclusive vacation and this was by far my…read morefavorite. Staff was amazing. The room was always clean, but they didn't usually come until the afternoon. food for the most part was really good. tons of wildlife, we saw coati's, raccoons, iguanas, cats. Hotel was easy to get around beach access was nice and quiet not too much seaweed for the end of August. It was nice to not be around any kids. We did walk over to that side to get ice cream and it's very loud and chaotic over there. Gym is nice, daily yoga was great. You end the class with fresh juices or fruits.

Overall, Paradisus La Perla is a beautiful property with spacious, impressive accommodations…read more Traveling solo, I especially appreciated my suite, which felt like a small apartment. The private patio Jacuzzi was a wonderful feature, although its direct exposure to the main pool offered very little privacy. Unfortunately, the room had a strong, unpleasant air-conditioning/ventilation odor that lingered on my clothing, hair, and personal belongings even after returning home. This significantly affected my experience. My biggest disappointment was the lack of proactive communication and attention to detail. I arrived around 6 p.m. and was informed that dinner reservations were required, with the buffet presented as my only alternative. However, the buffet was already closing. Rather than helping secure a reservation or explaining my dining options, I was left to figure things out myself. After settling into my room, I spent considerable time wandering the property before returning to the front desk for assistance. A more personalized approach at check-in would have made a tremendous difference. The dining experience was inconsistent and generally underwhelming. The Mediterranean and Asian restaurants were average, and at the Asian restaurant, I felt uncomfortable ordering multiple courses, despite staying at an all-inclusive resort. The birria tacos were phenomenal, but the restaurant's mosquito problem was so severe that staff distributed insect repellent. The Italian restaurant was particularly disappointing; nearly everything I ordered, from the salad and pasta to dessert, was unappetizing. Breakfast was inconsistent, and room-service waffles were mediocre. I also found it disappointing that food service was unavailable at the beach. While beverage service was offered, guests couldn't even order simple snacks like chips and guacamole. The beach loungers and covered daybeds were wonderful, but having to leave the beach to eat detracted from the experience. Additionally, frequent excursion sales pitches around the pool interrupted what should have been a relaxing atmosphere. The spa was beautiful, but the experience could have been better explained. I paid approximately $170 for a massage and was encouraged to arrive early to enjoy the facilities, yet it was unclear whether I could continue using them afterward or how much time was permitted. I would have appreciated the opportunity to relax by the spa pool after my treatment rather than feeling rushed. Ultimately, the property itself has tremendous potential, but the overall experience lacked the thoughtful hospitality, consistently good dining, and attention to detail I expect from a luxury all-inclusive resort. Clearer communication before arrival, more attentive service, and improved food quality would make a significant difference.
