I've been to Bloom twice and each time has been excellent…read more Both times i've stopped by this little sandwich shop around lunch time and ordered from their extensive menu of breakfast items, sandwiches, homemade soups and salads. I've tried their sausage bloom with fried egg and caramelised onions and also their French onion soup and 'The Big Fish' toasted sandwich. These are great - just the perfect amount for lunch. Their coffees are good too. The people who work here are lovely and the service is fast. I can imagine it being the perfect place for a quick take out sandwich. I can't fault Bloom at all, and i'm sure the more time i spend in Nantwich, the more i'll enjoy coming to Bloom.

My usual staple sandwich when I come to Bloom is the NYC, and I have tried the roast chicken and…read morethe bacon bloom, however, this time, I decided to opt for something new and chose the Holy Mackerel (shredded smoked mackerel with lemon and black pepper on a bed of rocket, with a drizzle of balsamic vinegar). When it first arrived I was slightly overwhelmed by the amount of rocket on it, however, it turned out that this worked perfectly with the intense smokiness of the mackerel (and made me feel slightly healthier). The lemon, pepper, and balsamic vinegar added a nice sharpness and complimented the peppery rocket. Also, the locally baked seeded roll was noticeably fresh and delicious. If you decide to dine in at Bloom you also get a little bowl of fresh, homemade coleslaw. This is easily one of the best coleslaws I have ever eaten. It doesn't do anything particularly different to any other 'slaw', but it is sharp and zesty whilst also somehow managing to be creamy and luxurious. The sultanas adding a nice fruity sweetness as well. Overall, Nantwich (and Cheshire) is lucky to have such a fabulous sandwich shop and if I'm in need of a sandwich there aren't many places I would choose over it in the country. Some people have remarked to me that they find Bloom a little pricey (my bill came to £11 for the sandwich above, a coffee and a cold drink). However, although that is slightly more expensive than other similar places in Nantwich, I would rather pay the extra and know that I am getting quality food from locally sourced businesses and suppliers.

The shop is in located in the middle of a small ally way (don't worry it's not dangerous) so the shop and outdoor seating area is very small. In fact they could just about fit two tables with four chairs outside and leave enough room for people to walk by. The woman didn't seem interested in her job and as they'd run out of change in the till she actually asked if it was OK for her to leave the rest of my change!! It would have been nice is she'd have gone and got some change and put a little smile on her face! However I came here for the food and found it's a nice place to go for lunch as the food looks and tastes good and is tucked away behind Touchwood shopping centre so it was not busy. I got crisps and a homemade sandwich. I found this a good place to eat whilst beating the lunch time rush.

A hidden gem of Solihull, Fat Sandwich blows competition such as Greggs out of the water. Fantastic…read morerange of sandwich fillings to choose from and other lunch options if you are against the concept of putting stuff in between slices of bread. They should rename this place Phat Sandwich because the sarnies are phat and they would probably get more ballers like me and my buds through the doors. Lost a star due to occasional long wait times but I do understand this. Also, five stars surely means perfection and I don't think anything can be truly perfect. Maybe I'm just cynical. Additionally I suppose this isn't the best platform for philosophical debate. Keep it real, Phat Sandwich!
