After a night of fasting for a day of medical tests in Miami that ended in early afternoon, my…read morestarving friend & I raced to Hollywood Donuts so he could get the breakfast we missed. Slid in an hour before closing; many "regulars" still there, engaging with the friendly owner. I asked the waitress if they could do poached eggs? Yes, of course. Good. Poached eggs, side of feta & spinach, toasted English muffin, to make Eggs Florentine. Not on the menu, no worries, I'll pay whatever, I'll assemble it myself. She came back to ask how many poached eggs? Two please. So excited! So hungry! So sad when I was served two fried eggs. The griddle must've been really hot, because the undersides were brown and scaly. It's why I only like poached. Waitress understood, apologized. No worries, bring me two poached eggs and I'll keep the muffin, spinach, feta. Hot eggs on top will be fine. Friend went ahead and ate his eggs. No complaints. As he neared finishing, my eggs showed up. Poached attempt, but whites not cooked completely, not even hot. So disappointing. Waitress finally came back when he was done and mine were inedible. I was just so sad. The owner must've noticed because she came over and tried to make it right. Took it off the bill. Offered me donuts. I appreciated the offer but no, off the bill was fine. It was then I realized she really cared. She went above and beyond. Put together an insanely generous bag with the day's leftover bagels & a few donuts! We left with this epic haul so when I got home I made my own eggs and had it with the most delicious bagel ever! And the donuts? Amazing! It was the end of day and the griddle person was probably exhausted but I will come back, for donuts and bagels, yes, maybe even for poached eggs, but mostly just for the hospitality. An owner who cares is truly hard to find. And look no further, she's here. Five stars for the service & concern I left happy. :)

Hollywood Donut was okay. I liked the old-school donut shop/diner vibe, and the staff was pleasant…read moreand friendly. It definitely has that nostalgic, no-frills feel that gives the place some character. The donut itself was good, but it didn't taste as fresh as I would've hoped. Nothing was necessarily bad, but it also wasn't somewhere I'd go out of my way to stop at again. If I happened to be in the area and wanted a donut, sure, but it didn't leave me craving a return visit.

This spot has been on my list of places to visit and im happy i finally stopped by. Upon arrival i…read morewas instantly in shock from how many sweets were around me. I loved the lanterns and the cherry blossom decorations they had. We chose a strawberry cream cheese bun, an egg drop sandwich and a hot Cheetos corn dog that was 50/50 cheese and meat. The staff was sweet and let us know our food would be ready in 15 minutes. The strawberry cream cheese bun was so good, perfect amount of sweetness not over powering at all. My son loved the hot Cheetos corn dog. The cheese pull was CRAZY GOOD. As for the egg drop sandwich we loved it, surprisingly it had a hint of sweetness which was very nice. Definitely a spot to visit again... might grab a mochi donut next time.

It was different good. I didn't get the corn dog becausei didn'thave room but Iwished I did. It was picked the inside. You had choices of cheese, hot dog, or a combination and then see what you like for the outside and how spicy you like it. The shop was cute. It has an outdoor sitting spot. The person on the counter was helpful and knowledgeable. She had good customer service. She was great in giving me choices. She had a great personality. I was asking a lot of questions and she was answering them good.

Been wanting to stop by Parlor Doughnuts ever since i saw they had savory donuts. I stopped by in a…read moreSunday morning with my friend to grab some. The location is very nice i love the americana style with military memorabilia. Im a sucker for vintage so i loved all the bits they had around the store. I also loved the little black pup photo area they had with all their furry visitors... so cute. The guy who attended us at the counter was patient and gave us the time needed to get our orders together. I decided on getting the pig & fig. Took 10 minutes to come out but very worth the wait. The sweet and savory combo was my favorite. I ordered a vanilla bean cream latte. It was on the strong side and did not taste to much of vanilla as i would think. As for the sweet doughnut... i took four hime for the family. I took to go a strawberry shortcake, french toast, cookies n cream and bourbon butterscotch pear. My family loved the donuts and they were gone by the end of the day. This location has both indoor and outdoor seating. Though the seating is limited.

I got the chicken bacon ranch doughnut as well as the Parmesan bites and the sandy beach, cookies and cream, and maple bacon doughnuts. Everything was 10/10 and staff were super nice and helpful. There's a couple tables and chairs inside as well as outside along with 2 gender neutral bathrooms. They also have free cold water and a station for silverware, napkins, sugar, etc. I will say this place is a little pricey at $4+ a doughnut, but they are pretty decent size and delicious. I did notice they made a couple mistakes with my order and another persons order but when made aware they immediately corrected the mistake.
