Last Minute Travel Club charges an annual fee of $49.99 for a membership. Though I got mine through a higher-end daily deal website for $11. Bottom line -- don't waste your $$$. In exchange for this year they state that it is the "ultimate one-stop superstore for this time-sensitive, deal-seeking traveler. LastMinuteTravel.com offers consumers the best prices, bar none, on last minute travel bargains." I am a travel deal master of the universe. I love finding great deals on luxury hotels and spas. In my humble opinion this site is not worth the membership fee. I'm a big believer that the way a company deals with problems is a big indicator of how reputable they are. I prepaid for a Budget rental car for a weekend trip to Maui in January 2016. Checking in went relatively smoothly, but once I turned the car back in the trouble started. I was charged by Budget for the rental car I had already paid LMT in advance for. When I called LMT, they indicated that they would reimburse me for any taxes that were included in my contract with them, but their stance was that I just pre-paid a portion of the rental car taxes and a $100+ fee for them to book the reservation for me. Obviously I found this unacceptable! However, that verdict was just from the person that I talked to when I called. Their actual customer support team that deals with fixing issues contacted Budget, then refunded my entire LMT Club payment. This was the correct outcome in this case, and in the end they did what was right. Will I use them again? Maybe. The deal will need to be really good to make is worth the possible problems. I purchased a Too Good To Be True deal from LMT because it was significantly cheaper versus their competitors Expedia, hotwire, etc... but turns out that deal didnt include All Inclusive when it showed All inclusive! DO NOT USE THIS AGENCY! Extremely disappointed. I will never use this agency again. I have had nothing but problems since I booked my cruise. Upon booking one of rooms they did not inform me that the room was in front of the elevator. Asked them to move the room and they stated they would have to charge me an additional $60. After paying the $60 Carnival cruiseline said I shouldn't have had to pay that and credited it back to me. My balance due showed on their site 817.07 and when I went to pay they said it was 877.07 they added the $60 back on. After talking to about 4 different people and on the phone for over an hour I was told that if I did not pay the 877.07 that my reservation would be canceled. Had I not already pain so much on my cruise I would have just canceled with them. I had a much better experience booking directly through Carnival for another room. read more

We had a room booked in Orlando. When we got to the hotel they said LMT overbooked the rooms and they didn't have on available. I called LMT. The first person said the hotel had to fix it. The next person I called said LMT would put me somewhere else. Two hours, and multiple calls later and no one did anything. I've never experienced anything like this. I had to find another, crappier room that I paid twice as much for while my family slept in the car for hours. What a way to end a great day at Disney. They don't book what is requested and then when you call them to resolve the issue, they say there is nothing they can do, leave you on hold for more than 20 minutes at a time, and don't follow through when they say a manager will call you back. They booked the wrong level of airline class (a lower level than the one I selected) but charged me the price for the higher level. When we called to get the error corrected we get the run around. I've been a member for a couple of years. my experience has always been AWESOME! c'mon, I got to stay at the Hilton Times Square NYC 2 nights for the price of 1. In Dallas I got an amazing hotel deal at the Hilton Anatole. sure you can use your expedia/priceline and pay FULL PRICE. but why when you can save? I've always used the online booking engine which is very easy to navigate. I think one time I called customer service because the hotel couldn't find my reservation, it was a computer glitch and lmtclub took care of it within the hour. give them a try, you'll be hooked just like I am. read more

I have hadn't had any real issues until this last time when I booked a rental car at DCA through them. I paid them $164 Budget charged me an additional $225. Why? I'm still waiting for the clarification on that one. Anything I may have saved in my previous bookings I surely lost on this one. STAY AWAY. You book with them at a rate higher than you get from the retailer anyway. I made a reservation for a hotel stay for a business trip. The charge was $205.00, My company gave me an advance check for travel and said I needed to provide a hotel receipt after my trip. The hotel receipt said the cost was $178 inclsuing $26 in tax. When my credit card came and I was charged $205 i called to inquire why the difference. I was told that the difference from the room rate charged and what I paid is their marketing cost. I also was told that the hotel should not have given me that receipt. Last Minute travel buys a bulf of rooms at a discounted rate. They also said that the additional cost is not disclosed when you book a reservation. I told their customer service representative that I am now in trouble at work for receving an advance greater than what the receipt states. All they offered was to send me a receipt showing the $205 cost. They never offered any compensation. I will never use this web site again. When you book with Priceline Express Deals, the rate you pay is identical to the receipt you receive at check out. read more

Had a TERRIBLE experience and will never use again. Our original hotel we booked in advance was full, so we received an email letting us know we would be upgraded to a better hotel nearby at no additional cost, which I thought was pretty cool. Got to the hotel and they told me we hadn't paid yet (which I definitely had). I called support and they apologized and said they would call the hotel. No big deal yet. Came back on the line and said he would fax a sheet with payment information... assuming they never sent it because the hotel never received it. After waiting 20-25 minutes for the fax that never came, I called back to support. He called over to the hotel again and this time got an email address. They then sent the payment information via email, which took another 20-25 minutes to receive.... but they did not send it correctly so I had to call back a THIRD TIME to get the LMT Club employee to fill out the hotel's authorization form. When this FINALLY happened..... THEIR CREDIT CARD WAS DECLINED!!!! The hotel staff managed to charge it for part of the fee and hopefully was able to call the company to get the rest, since they kindly let us go to our room once part of it was paid, but WOW how unprofessional can you get. We wasted an hour and a half out of our day sitting around waiting for this failure of a company to fill out paperwork correctly that should have been done prior to our arrival, and to see their card get declined. Literally speechless at how terrible this experience was. Will NOT use again. read more

I will not use them again. Made a hotel reservation with Last Minute Travel, who I found through Google Travel. Quickly learned I had selected the wrong hotel location. Tried to cancel, and found no way to get to them except calling. Other ways I tried: 1) Sending an email to their specified contact for reservation change requests: no email address was provided on their contact page. 2) Sending an email back to the reservation desk: the email verification I received (from yet another organization, Tourico Travel) was from a no-reply, and had no other contact info in it except a phone number if you had problems checking in (which is a bad sign, eh?). 3) Cancelling online: their own system could not find the reservation number they had provided me, and using the "if this doesn't work, try this" forms all came up empty as well, with both the reservation number and the record locator. 4) Sending an email to customer service: it bounced back! and had a link to a form. That form finally gave me a chance to fill out a request to cancel, which I sent in. We'll see if that works. If that form is on their webpage, it is cleverly hidden. 5) In the meantime, I waited on hold for 45 minutes and finally cancelled that way, or so the customer service rep said. Again, we'll see. It should NOT be this hard to cancel a simple hotel reservation an hour after it was made. I won't be back. read more

I felt compelled to write a review, not because of a terrible experience or a wonderful one, but to comment on the reviews I have read. I am shocked that people would give a company a bad review for some of these reasons. LMTClub is a travel wholesale club - just like Sam's or BJ's. some my first questions. When you go to one of these places and pay $14 for a bulk supply of, let's say toilet paper, do you think that is what Sam's or BJ's paid for it? No they buy it in bulk at a discounted rate and, of course, they charge a small mark up. So you are laying $14 meaning they probably paid $11. Of course they charged you more - that's how they stay in business. How would LMTCLUB stay in business or make any money if they charged you the exact same rate they paid? Kind of defeats the purpose of the service they are providing, doesn't it? I mean if they make no money off the booking then how do they pay their employees or rent or anything? So the person complaining about the mark up on prices is utterly ridiculous, of course there's a mark up idiot, it's called business. They are STILL providing you the lowest rates available. I guarantee you, from my many years working in the hotel industry, that had you walked in off the street you would not have been provided a room at the rate the hotel disclosed or even the rate you paid LMTCLUB. When you check into a reservation booked by a 3rd party 2 folios (hotel receipts) are created, one gets sent to the 3rd party agency and one goes to the guest. IF the front desk agent gave you the wrong folio that is at no fault of LMTCLUB. That is a hotels front desk agents fault - but hey we are all human and all make mistakes. A simple 5 minute phone call to LMTCLUB would have gotten you the correct folio showing the amount you paid and that is what you provide our company. If they cannot understand this simple business transaction and are punishing you for paying consumer rates instead of contracted rates (that NEVER should have been disclosed) then they are the idiots and definitely should not buy owning, operating, or running a business as they are not very bright. Response #2. When hotels (at least all those I worked at) enter into legal and binding contracts with these 3rd party agencies and when they manually confirm a reservation for specified amount, that is the amount the agency is responsible for paying, nothing more. These agencies then send virtual credit cards, or merchant cards, to the hotel. These cards are 1 time use cards and are only authorized for the contracted amount. If a hotel is charging more Than that contacted rate, of course the card will decline. Again, this is at no fault to the 3rd party agency or LMTCLUB. The front desk agent is not charging the correct amount. It is usually a tax rate issue because the contracts were never updated by the hotels when the tax rate in a particular city/state increased. Or they are trying to add additional charges Again this is not the 3rd party agencies (LMTClub) fault, a simple error on the end of the front desk agent, who is usually some kid who is underpaid, overwhelmed. Many of the front desk agents don't want tot take the extra time to create 2 separate folios or create 2 separate charges (1 for room and tax 1 for incidentals or resort fees). Many times, actually 99% of the time, when you are told the 3rd party didn't provide payment it's because we (front desk) didn't pay attention to the remarks stating it's a 3rd party booking and swiped over the CC they provided. Instead of looking stupid, we say they didn't provide payment, it's a way to save face. 3rd response. If you get a confirmed reservation from a 3rd party it's because it came out of inventory that agency already owns or paid for and is supposed to be guaranteed, by way of their contractual agreement. If the hotel chooses to reject the reservation or LMTClub club has to relocate you to another property (which will always be a lateral move with an upgraded room or an upgraded property) it's because the hotel did not adhere to their contractual obligations and honor the reservation, legal known as a breach of contract. The hotel is fined every time they have do this. LMTCLUB is not moving you to another hotel because they have. I thing better to do, it is ALWAYS a last resort and they almost ALWAYS take a substantial loss when relocating. Someone compared LMTCLUB to Priceline. It's like comparing apples to apples. LMTCLUB's parent company is called TOURICO HOLIDAYS (TH is a business to business wholesaler instead of a business to consumer agency like LMTCLUB.) Priceline bookings are almost always made through tourico holidays, using their inventory and their rates, in which the mark up almost 60% or more before providing the room to the public. Priceline also has HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE OUTSOURCED TO SOME 3rd world county. Much rather deal with LMTCLUB!
