In fact, the engagement ring was so amazing, we promptly got to work on the wedding band! The level of craftsmanship and quality is just that good. This review for Bonnie is long overdue. She made my engagement ring in 2023 and even though I…read morerarely write reviews, she absolutely deserves the praise. Maybe the delay ended up being a good thing because after years of daily wear, I can confidently say that my ring still looks as beautiful as the day I got it. Back in 2022, my then-boyfriend and I were deep in the engagement ring rabbit hole, obsessing over diamond certificates and getting frustrated with the options other jewelers were showing us. I found Bonnie through her YouTube videos, which were quite informative, but I'll admit as a Gen Xer, I was initially skeptical of someone with such a big social media presence. Meeting her completely changed my mind. I came in convinced that I wanted a thin pavé band with a full diamond tulip basket. Bonnie was honest and blunt that it was the exact opposite of what she'd recommend for my lifestyle. She would have made it if I insisted, but she warned I'd probably be sending it in for repairs constantly. She was right and I'm so glad I listened. Instead, she helped us create a shared prong setting inspired by the Golden Gate Bridge, a place that meant a lot to our relationship. She executed it perfectly! If you see the Eloise setting on her website, my fiance and I were actually the inspiration for it. The ring is comfortable, durable, and fits perfectly flush with the eternity wedding band (with the same shared prong setting) she later made for me as well. Years later, it has held up beautifully, which really validates all the practical advice she gave me from the start. What really sets Bonnie apart is her honesty and expertise. More than once, she talked me out of choices that would have looked beautiful but worn poorly over time, including convincing me to add the thinnest possible spacer band between my engagement ring and wedding band to protect them from rubbing directly against each other. She also talked my fiance out of getting a bigger stone even though it meant less money for her. The diamond she sourced sparkles like no other. Another detail that I especially appreciated was that when the ring was finished, she coordinated only with my fiance so that the proposal was still a complete surprise. We trusted her so much that we also had her custom-make my husband's wedding band and once again she balanced practicality with bringing his vision to life perfectly. I went into this process with very fixed ideas about what I wanted and Bonnie gently but firmly steered me toward choices that were better for my lifestyle and longterm wear. She's knowledgeable, detail oriented, honest, and incredibly talented. She may seem pricey at first glance, but after going through this process with her, I genuinely think her expertise is priceless. She saved us from expensive mistakes, created rings that have held up beautifully over time, and delivered something even better than what we originally thought we wanted. Every time I look at my rings, I'm reminded of our beautiful Golden Gate Bridge love story and they bring me so much joy.

In years and decades past, you had to have a business license or a guest pass from one of the showrooms for entry. These days however, the center is open to the public at large, a big plus & welcome change. Lately been a sucker for 14k chains again. Gold seemingly making a huge comeback and never really goes out of style. Looking to treat myself. I set a budget going in. I also did a fairly exhaustive search on eBay to get baseline pricing numbers for my chain before arriving. Humbled-honored to meet really sweet couple Nilo & Gul Mohammed, owner-proprietors of "A One Imports," located on Lower Level, along with all of the other showrooms. They've been here 40 years serving customers. And, they had precisely what I had come to look for in my desired piece...at what I must say was a very fair (borderline incredible?) price, comparatively speaking. And trust me, I compared. Same necklace retail at--say Macy's, Zale's, Kay's, Amazon (cheap stuff) or even eBay would've been hundreds, possibly up to $1K more by weight, design and markup. Mrs. Mohammed (Nilo) works hard to stay within your budget, making sure you're a completely satisfied customer in the end. Check some of the other showrooms if you must, but make sure you at least include A One Imports for comparison before settling on your final purchase(s). You could potentially save a tidy sum and fold some of your hard-earned money back in your pocket. I doubt this business will be undersold here at the Center. Their impressive showroom of fine jewelry includes loose diamonds, jewelry repair, and they even buy scrap gold. AND--a huge, unheard-of plus here at the Center--they accept most major credit cards without any mark up-processing fees. Most of the other showrooms request cash only or will hit you with the interchange fees that the banks charge the merchants. No mark-up at this showroom means the customer enjoys a measure of flexibility with financing & budgeting those larger purchases like wedding & engagement sets for example. Give 'em a shot! I visited this store during the Chinese New Year fair intending to buy myself something nice. I…read moredidn't do much research beforehand and went to the first shop I saw. I purchased a "gold plated sterling silver chain" for $75. The owner assured me it was good quality and safe to wear in the shower. However, after wearing it for just over 24 hours and taking two showers, the gold started coming off. I believe the gold was actually painted on rather than properly plated, which is why it washed off so quickly. What surprised me even more was that this chain cost more than some of the other jewelry in the store. This made me question the authenticity and quality of the items being sold. To compare, I went to another store and bought a similar gold-plated sterling silver chain for only $30. That chain is still vibrant and gold, and clearly much higher quality than the $75 chain I bought here. While the owner was friendly and helpful, the products did not meet the quality expectations I had based on their descriptions and prices. I'm sharing this experience so others can make informed decisions before purchasing here. If you're looking for durable gold-plated jewelry or authentic stones, I would recommend being cautious and doing extra research first.
