Llanfair is kinda Unfair if you ask me. Unfairly stacked against much more amazing railway stations around North Wales.
This is a tiny little station with a tiny little bridge 50 miles west of Chester in the UK. It's on the line from Crewe to Holyhead, so it gets a lot of trains coming through here, although a lot of them don't stop.
They only have a little stone shelter on each side of the track, and it's only a request stop. There's no tickets whatsoever here. You have to buy it from the person on the train, or you have to buy it before you travel.
There used to be beautiful little buildings right here along the tracks but not so much anymore. read more
