Sharing my experience with BuildNest.ca / (Sourav) for anyone considering hiring…read more I started working with him in 2023 when he was just starting out. He was willing to learn, so I continued hiring him and always paid full seasoned-handyman rates. However, I consistently had to monitor work, point out missed areas, and clean up leftover materials after the job was done. Most recently, I hired him to install a greenhouse, pressure wash my porch, and do some yardwork. During this visit: * He repeatedly tracked muddy footprints across both my freshly painted driveway and my neighbor's (even after I reminded him multiple times). * The greenhouse packaging was left scattered around until I cleaned it myself. * The pressure washing and yardwork only got done where I stood and directed--otherwise, large areas were skipped. * When the job was "finished," both driveways were still covered in muddy footprints. I asked him to come back and clean things properly. He only agreed after requesting full cash payment upfront, with no invoice--which I still provided based on past history. After payment, I had to follow up multiple times. When he did return, he arrived with just a small broom and a small water bottle, which of course did not clean anything. When I gave honest feedback, I was told I was focusing on "minor things" and that my "attitude had changed." In summary: Be aware that you may need to supervise closely, re-explain tasks, and clean up after. Patience required. Hope this helps someone make an informed choice.
