We hired him to completely renovate our bathroom. After a month into construction (with our contract stating the job would take 2 weeks) and no communication about an updated end date, we still had nothing close to a functional, watertight, working bathroom. We let him know that we would not need his services any longer, it took us 10 months to find a contractor to make it functional. Most reputable contractors wanted nothing to do with remediation, they would only completely start over. His behavior and professionalism were seriously lacking, and when he decided to show up to work he was always late.
Structural & Cosmetic Issues: Walls, where completed, were visibly crooked and bowing. Tiling, where installed, was not professional (not spaced properly, plastic spacers stuck in yellowy coarse grout, incomplete). $1,500 Shower system was installed incorrectly, incomplete and non-functional. The only installed part, the shower rain head, dangled from the wall. The wall was left open to water damage/mold, as the tile remained incomplete. Needed to tent off with plastic, hoping that water/mold damage would not occur. All floor tiles (including ones that he cracked and left destroyed during install!) needed to be ripped out and replaced-subfloor had inappropriate materials and shoddy workmanship. Floor grout was different colors, inconsistently applied, and all over the bathroom. Brand new walls were uneven from his trying to patch his own mistakes so that new light sconces (also damaged by Ardon!) literally hung crookedly and needed to be replaced and remounted on the wall. Bathtub nightmare: subfloor not installed (!) and had to pay $300 for professional drain clearing due to grout that he washed down the drain. Installed temporary 'SharkBite' plumbing in vanity, which is not up to code. Brand new bathroom vanity badly damaged in three spots. All electrical was incorrectly installed and left exposed, had to be rewired by the new contractor and tiling throughout the bathroom had to be redone. Even basics like paint were not performed according to contract-no prep, primer, or two coats of paint. Ardon sloppily dripped old clumpy paint all over the bathroom, including over fixtures, tile, and vanity. Buyer beware.
