Stay away from these people!!! They've lied to me and cheated me out of my hard earned money…read more I ordered 500 sq. ft of Bruce, high gloss finish, hardwood flooring from these people March 31, 2015, to tie in with my existing floor. I first spoke with the owner, Andrew who told me he'd meet or beat Lowe's prices (1st lie) then he turned me over to his salesperson, Debra. She quoted me $3.29 sq. ft. for a satin finish, $4.65 for high gloss. I ordered high gloss, which is what I already have in my home. After the flooring was half installed, I could see the finish was satin. I called Above Board Flooring immediately, told them I didn't expect the hardwood to be torn up and replaced but I did expect to be given the $1.26 difference in price they up charged me for high gloss. They refuse to take repsonsibility, putting all the blame on Debra, who convienently doesn't work for them any more! I sat with Debra, in her office when she called Bruce directly on March 30, and inquired about the high gloss finish, and they assured her they could do it. I have my original receipt showing that 9 years previously I had ordered high gloss finish, Bruce flooring and now Above Board Flooring is trying to tell me Bruce never made a high gloss. They are refusing to give me the $1.26 per sq. ft I was upcharged for the high gloss finish and offered me only .40 cents per sq. ft. I've been told over the phone by both Andrew (owner) and Netta (receptionist in their Pineville location) 3 different times that Mark Bishop, the salesperson who took over for Debra, would be contacting me. That hasn't happned and I've received no refund. My installation was in mid June. I think they're taking advantage of this senior citizen.

I had spent several months researching and learning about the different benefits and drawbacks of a wide variety of flooring products; so when I went to them I already had a pretty good understanding of what I was looking at. But even still, they were able to more fully explain the fundamentals of flooring installation. I took the information away with me and I continued to work-out what I was going to ultimately install. After visiting a few other flooring venues, including DIY establishments, I made a plan that included hiring Ogle's. And I don't regret it all.

Then the foyer, hall and one spare bedroom, the finally the master and one more bedroom. The installers were on time, with one exception and they called us to let us know they would be running late. They were also friendly and professional and went out of their way to address any issues we had. They made sure all squeaks we eliminated before installing the flooring, even taking 15 minutes to cure a squeak in the kitchen! They make sure you are satisfied with the work before leaving, then thank you for your business. They do sweep up inside and all large debris is cleaned up before they leave as well. The only thing that kept me from giving them 5 stars is the fact that they do not have a shop vac with them to clean up the saw dust left behind. The last install they used my garage to cut flooring which was fine since it looked as if it was going to rain any minute, but left a film of saw dust all over everything. The install before that, it was my deck and deck furniture covered in saw dust. Does'nt it make sense for a flooring company that has to cut flooring to install it knowing saw dust is going to be left behind to carry a shop vac to either vacuum up or blow the saw dust away instead of leaving it all over a customers garage or deck? Other than that, my wife and I are satisfied with Ogle's and the job they have done installing the new flooring in our home.

Bill was the only one who noticed that 2 of the rooms had different wood from the rest of the house. We were wondering why the floors in those rooms looks so much less damaged from the other floors. Once Bill pointed out where the new and old wood met we could easily see the difference. Bill's recommendation of not doing those two rooms saved us a lot of money. One of the other companies who gave us a quote had noticed that one of the rooms had a different floor, but not the 2nd room. They also said they didn't recommend only doing the old floor because the sanding would be hard to stop at the board change in the floor without going over. Not only was Bill's team able to sand up to the board and not go over, he was also able to match the stain color almost perfectly so the difference between the two floors doesn't stand out. To my further amazement, Bill's team was able to carefully remove all our baseboards and reuse them after the floor had been sanded and restained. They were so careful at removing the old nails that you can't tell! Even though cutting and installing new baseboards had been part of the original invoice, since they were able to just reuse the old molding, Bill removed another almost $300 from our bill! Bill's team was very friendly, knowledgeable and showed up on time every morning. Each day they made sure to turn off all our lights, close the doors and clean up any messes and tools. They also took a lot of care in sealing off our pantry, kitchen cabinets and covering our furniture in plastic so the dust cleanup was minimal. I would highly recommend LeBeau's Hardwood Floors to anyone who wants their floors to look like new again.

My neighbor had theirs recently done and they showed me their receipt from the company that did theirs. The job looked OK but I noticed that there were some gap variations that I would not have accepted. So that company was a no go. My friend (a very meticulous Enginee) had there's done by Lowe's and he would not suggest them. I asked another friend and he suggested Lake Norman Glass because his famous celebrity daughter and son-in-law used them for a very elaborate installation and was very impressed with their work. So I decide to use them. I scheduled the appointment and first came out to measure the enclosure. They came out ON TIME and there was an issue with my shower pan. They made a suggestion on how to solve it. It took about 2 1/2 weeks to get the glass and an appointment was made for the installation. They showed up to the minute ON TIME which really impressed me. Their vehicle was a clean updated van and there were two installers. Jeremy was the main installer and he was very professional. There was a slight mix up on some of the hardware but he went out of his way to immediately get the proper hardware to complete the install. It took about 2 hours to complete. I had a seat with curved edges and after the installation I meticulously reviewed the install. I am a Product Engineer and was extremely impressed with how exact everything was. The gap of the door and the adjoining glass was about an 1/8" and perfectly spaced from top to bottom. I can go on about more details but will end with my wife and I would give them more than 5 stars if possible. we are very pleased with the result and by the way, they were about 10-15% cheaper than the other two companies my friends used. Normally I don't spend this time to write reviews but they deserve it. I highly recommend them.
