We rented a house, intending to stay…read morethere while we scoped out the area - but then this fantastic townhouse came on the market and we had to buy it. Next question: What to put in it? It's much bigger than our rental house - and much nicer. That said, we didn't want to spend crazy money on new furniture (we've made that mistake before) - but on the other hand, we wanted nice stuff (i.e., not Rooms to Go). We recognize our limitations, so I searched for someone who could help us with our new home - and luckily enough found Amy. She first went to our rental house (where we were still living) to see what we already had, get an idea of our colors, artwork, etc., then went to our new (empty) home. We were, frankly, amazed at some of her suggestions - amazed just because they *never* would have occurred to us. As soon as she saw our (very large) master BR suite, she noted that there was ample space to fit our existing living room furniture. She also suggested that we have the mantle in the living room (which was crazy high) lowered. ??!! We did not know such a thing was even possible. Amy had great recommendations for - and accompanied us on - furniture shopping trips (can't say enough about Cooper's - must get to their review next). She was also great for the little stuff - positioning furniture, helping organize the kitchen, etc. We could not have had a better experience and would not hesitate to seek her advice again.

When I reached out to Amy and told her what I needed, she made it happen! Finding pieces in one room that would be better in another; creating flow where corners or awkwardness had previously interrupted it; and most importantly, making this brand new space feel like our home. Working with Amy is quite a treat! She's professional, detail oriented, and has resources for whatever a home and family might need! Having an understanding of different perspectives in decor is a HUGE plus, too, as a simple mention of feng shui (which I know nearly nothing about) opened up a whole new conversation about placement of plants and honorary placement of our dearly departed pets! She has amazing energy, practical sensibilities, and a keen understanding of family functioning so she can help turn a house into a home. BIG SIGH! I adore my home now!

Subsequently I got to look through some of the offerings from this interior decorating superstore and came to find that they offere a beautiful variety of interior decorations. They have a heavy emphasis on Hunter Douglas brand, and reasonable prices. I love the cute bird feeder full of individually-wrapped candy and comfy seating to entertain kids while moms step in for consultation. The main complaint I would have is I wish they had more flexible hours. With this location being closed at five Monday through Friday, and from 10-2pm on Saturday, it is not very convenient for busy families. Also, their inventory is decently expensive, and they were not running (or planning to run per the sales associate) specials on the item I wanted, so I'll wait and see if they have a sale sometime soon. I'm also curious if they offer a Sutton Station discount, as some other stores in the shopping center do. However the staff was quite friendly, helpful, and patient and I feel comfortable rating them 4 stars. I hope I soon have reason to rate them based on an actual purchase!

We met with Lisa to discuss ideas on remodeling our 1990s-era bathrooms because we were unsure of how to proceed. Lisa was able to present us a new vision, rescaling our plans and saving us a significant amount of money while still achieving our goal of creating an elegant, updated look and enhancing the function of the spaces. The savings on our bathroom remodels will allow us to embark on other redecorating projects that we thought were beyond our reach. We are thrilled! Lisa has amazing insights into melding function with beauty, and she has an appreciation of and respect for collectibles and antiques, and how best to display them to tell our family story. She has extensive resources to help us realize our vision. We are looking forward to continuing to work with Lisa to enhance our entire home, thereby enriching our family life. We are so pleased to have her as our guide in this journey! Kristine W.

Now in 2025 after having a structural engineer come in with a reputable general contractor we will have a full report and estimate of repair to reconstruct the deck to make it up to code for the new buyer. A huge open wound has been exposed and Mike Germain has nothing to say for himself. The second photo is directly from the contract we signed and completed with him. We certainly paid and upheld our part of the contract. On a side note, at the time of the construction in 2020 I had completed an egg collection for an IVF cycle a few days before the crew arrived. We also had a close relative with dementia in a memory care unit that was going to be moving into hospice and the work that was being completed by Mike was so she could return home. There were a lot of concerns brought to Mike's attention and he basically deflected, denied, gaslit and pressed forward, and now here we are in 2025. Mike Germain finally responded after multiple requests to address the lack of permits and final inspection on our project as well as the problems coming to light. We requested his contractor's license number and he refused to provide it. This brings into question if he even has one. When he responded he created a very false narrative and explained that we were trying to rush the project to start and accused my wife of asking him to forgo permits. We were not even aware until last week that this situation was a far larger problem than we ever planned or paid for. This is extremely suspect! BEWARE!!!

We spent about $90K on a project with Mike Germain, the owner of West point designs LLC. During the recent sale of our home a structural engineer was called in to review some red flags on the home inspection report specifically regarding the three-story deck that Mike and his team built. I contacted Mike since one of the issues was a lack of permit with the county & assumed we could clear that up quickly with his records. Instead, when Mike (finally after attempts to reach him) called me back, he lied and told me that I asked him not to get permits. Which never happened. Even without permits, the deeper issue is that Mike Germain's team did not adhere to building codes, on a three story deck. Many issues were uncovered, all pointing to a complete disregard for building code in nearly every aspect of the construction. We had repair work done as early as 3 months after this company's work was completed. Had our front deck reinforced, repaired and even replaced some trex decking only 3 years after completion because the work was so poorly done & did not use proper hardware (nails instead of screws etc). We initially agreed to have the company paint our house & stain the new fence they installed but we ended the work relationship with them once the project was complete. I did not want to continue engaging him but after learning these details, I want to make sure others know and look into him further before hiring them!! I only wish I had known that he doesn't not have a license and did not get permits for his work, in order to avoid professional oversight.
