It's clean and if you just to make sure which train leaves first before buying the ticket - Flytoget or NSB - it can be a pretty smart choice. However, their non functioning WiFi takes away takes away any happiness you might have felt for making a good deal. You can always try to sign in to their wifi, but most likely it will just be a waste of time and won't work anyway. If you do manage, they want your e-mail, phone number, area code (come on!) and need you to create an account.

On the plus side, we were within a 15 minute walk to the nearest train stop that took us directly down town. After navigating a terrifying slip and slide walk down a massive icy hill in the middle of a small blizzard, we had just a few minutes wait until the next train came. We bought our train tickets at the hotel, so that was convenient. And apparently using the tickets was on the honor system! We figured out that once you get on the train, there is a scanner that you flash your ticket with. But I didn't see a single person do it except a few stupid tourists like us. Kudos for making it fairly easy to navigate the system.

Bus terminals of this size and that run with this frequency are not common in the United States, so…read morethis was a new experience for me. The station is pretty clean and has wi-fi. I didn't do much exploring, as I went straight to/from my buses. I took the bus to Oslo Airport, which costed 180kr/adult, and was packed. You can buy your ticket at a machine inside the building, right by the door to the bus. You can also get it on the bus, but that is much more inconvenient and causes back up. The bus was spacious, clean, and fairly modern with air conditioning. If back in Oslo, I would take this bus again.

The station is five minutes walk from Oslo Central Station as well as the rapid transit station Jernbanetorget and the tram and city bus services at ground on Jernbanetorget. On the east side of the station is a tram station named Bussterminalen Grønland that allows the quickest transfers to the Ekeberg Line. I think they need to get a better bus system. It is way too overcrowded (heaven for pick pocketers), there is no air condition and most of the drivers are inconsiderate. They drive too fast not thinking of people standing up with nowhere to hold on to. I would rather walk.

This is an amazing area to come visit while in Oslo!!…read more While here on vacation in Oslo, I was interested to visit bygdoy for a few various reasons. First of all, this is a nice area with lots of natural scenery, fresh air and open space. Great to visit in order to escape the craziness of the main city area and to experience the museums (the majority of the museums in Oslo are situated out here on this peninsula). We took a ferry from City Hall to get here after purchasing our Oslo Pass. The ferry was a very enjoyable ride. It was a beautiful, warm, sunny day and made for a great boat ride, during which we got to capture lots of great pictures and see some open water. Many nice houses and boats situated along the oslofjord to observe on the way. Upon arriving, we were glad to see much open green grass to picnic and enjoy the view; the museums are also located close by. We first stopped at Fram (polar ship) Museum, but decided to skip Kon-Tiki Museum. After that, we wanted to see the viking ship museum and the norwegian folk museum, but we quickly discovered after consulting the map that those 2 places were located a bit of a walk away. After enjoying a nice, pleasant walk we arrived at the museums. They were both very enjoyable and could spend hours there. There are many homes and locals located on this Peninsula of Oslo, which i was surprised to discover; however overall we had a fabulous time and really enjoyed having a visit here. I would recommend to other people who come here on vacation. By the way, the Oslo pass is worth the money in order to get entrance to all the museums and transport here!

We were running to catch the next train so we would not have to wait. Well, we made it. I can tell you that it was not crowded, and we were there on a Wednesday morning. Have no idea if it is always like that. If it is, then I would be a regular here.
