We had two leaks in the ceiling which LJ Hooker were advised of. It took them a month to get back to us. 3 months later nothing had been done so we moved out. They told the landlord that we had said we were moving out without paying the early leaving penalty, when we hadn't said anything like that. They were telling the landlord one thing, then telling us something completely different. The landlord complained to them about it having taken so long to sort the leaks out and their reply was "Well, you're free to leave us and find someone else." They also said that we were using the leaks as an afterthought excuse to get out of the lease, when the leaks that we had told them about and they did not fix were the sole reason in the first place for us deciding to move out. Property Manager Belinda Davies is a nazi. We recently moved out of a rented property. This manager is a real piece of work. After spending more than 40 hours cleaning the property she had the hide to list that everything was dirty or needed replacing. Little did Belinda know that we have photos of every fault from the day we moved in. We will be fighting her claims in the tribunal all the way to the bitter end. Typically the whole saga is just a cash grab in regards to not returning our bond. It also seems that Belinda is friends of the landlord, both being Chinese. The property we rented was 15-20 years old. She expected it to be like brand new. Like most apartments in the area they have cracks in the tiles and walls. I'm sure Belinda would love to bill us for that as well! Best avoid LjHooker Parramatta at all costs. They are thieves. read more

Unprofessional and biased agency, who want to make money by unfair means. Their own referred cleaners charged more than double on end of lease cleaning. Even if you hired professional cleaning company, they will never refunded full rent bond money to 9 out of 10 people, just try to overcharge by one or other lame excuses. AVOID AVOID AVOID!! unprofessional and lazy. We paid lj hooker to manage our property. During that time we had an insurance claim issue and they made little attempt to resolve the issue. I had to step in and do the job they were paid for. They are inexperienced. they would call and leave worrying messages about problems with the property rather than reassure us. They don't know the relevant stray laws to adequately support us. Given their inexperience they would call for every single little issue rather than make decisions on those little things.
