APPALLING - SERVICE, ATTITUDE. Would never trust our property with them again...and BTW, we have four other investment rental properties and so we do know what is reasonable wear and tear and what a competent letting agency (should) provide.
So, we engaged the guys at Lindfield to look after our home for 2 years whilst overseas, and when we got back it was in a FILTHY condition.
Windows and frames had a film of grime, pet hairs choked the sliding door runners, human hair left in bathroom vanity drawers. Bar stool was smashed, wood burning stove had damage to its top, vanity had large burn mark on top of it, massive DEEP gouges on the bedroom floor.... well the list just goes on. All deemed "normal wear and tear" by the manager.
They begrudgingly brought in cleaners, who left after 90 minutes after cleaning a couple of windows. We complained to the manager that they had only cleaned 20%, and after a meeting she agreed to bring the cleaners back.
Well the cleaners didn't turn up and so we rang and they said that the manager had cancelled - she hadn't bothered to tell us! This is 8 weeks after we arrived back!
We also found that our garden hoses had been stolen, along with a large roll of swimming pool blanket. Several tons of chopped and stacked wood had also been taken (against our expressed instructions - which they denied knowledge of).
We'll be taking legal action to recover our costs and damages. read more
