This place is my go-to place for eating and drinking in the area. If you are in the Melrose/Mindoro area, I highly recommend dropping in for some food or drink.

The most delightful Jonathan was my beertender & the lovely Stephanie had the assist. These two. These two emulate my ONE hard & fast brewery rule: no matter how good or bad the beer? 90% of why i come back...is who's behind the bar! They provide your Experience. Im @ an impass of which was better? The service or the beer? So....i decline to choose. We built a four pour flight w a dose of a mad knowledge drop!! There is a display of bottles opposite corner of the restroom. That is representation of their contract brewed offeeings! *Spoiler Alert* The building was built in 1856...for a brewery. Todd, i said: i dont know what style but you should brew a beer named...1856. Sand Creek was previously Pioneer which brewmaster Todd worked at. Oscar's Oatmeal Stout is brewed from a 1995 Pioneer recipe. For GOOD reason, two-fold: deeelicious & its a World Medal winning beer. If you think Oscar's is good? Try the nitro pour! Then....try the 12% Double pour!! Bar? Raised. This brewery was well worth the quick 40 minute drive. I am already anxious to make another stop!! On the flight i didnt much care for the Pierce St Pale Ale. Was by no means a bad beer. More appropriately: brewed true to style. I just dont prefer bitter beers but....still give them a go. The others i had all agreed w my palate; three Oscar's Oatmeal offerings. Bugler brown, Buford-Weiss, & Essers Best PL. Upon arrival Johnathan poured me of a refreshing Groovy Brew. Thanks Sand Creek for a most enjoyable, palate pleasing & knowledgeable experience!! Cheers

Oh, and I'm on Fire, the hook of the tune, but the first line 'a the song closely aped a 50s-60's rocker lyric "Pretty little girl with the hah school sweater, skip that buoy, yew kin do better" with a melody that stole from "Way down yonder in the injun nation. savages rage at the indignation, of havin' to live on the reservation!" It was all ah could do ta keep from cryin' as the beertender called bar time. Friend of mine wrote the perfect closin' to a country & western soong evenin' in the tavern, and sent it to me. I wrote back an tole him it weren't good 'nuf cuz it din't say nothin' bout gittin' drunk, sawin' the bar in half with a chainsaw, or Mama's 2 year stretch in the pen. At that point me'n the girl settled on a soong ta end the evenin' an it goes lak this: Then one day a movie scout Came to town to take her out (Jordanaires: Came to town to take her out) Hollywood could offer more So she left the boy next door who worked at the candy store (Jordanaires: Dream on, dream on teenage queen see you on the movie screen) Very soon she was a star Pretty house and shiny car Swimmin' pool and a fence around But she missed her old home town (Jordanaires: But she missed her old home town) All the world was at her door All except the boy next door who worked at the candy store (Jordanaires: Dream on, dream on teenage queen saddest girl we've ever seen) Then one day the teenage star Sold her house and all her cars Gave up all her wealth and fame Left it all and caught a train (Jordanaires: Left it all and caught a train) Do I have to tell you more She came back to the boy next door who worked at the candy store (Now this story has a moral, you'll hear it all at the candy store) After that, ah realized, we din't tell 'un another r names nohow. You don't have to call me darlin, darling, we never even called one another by name.
