I think that, as far as possible, one should give people feedback and give them a chance to fix anything that they might have missed. To our rescue came Dirty Girl Cleaners, a new cleaning service catering to the Columbus metro area. "They won't... we will!" is their motto, and the girls certainly lived up to our expectations. No pre-cleaning was required for their visit. I made cookies before they arrived, and left the mixing bowl and utensils in the sink, along with a few dishes from the previous night's dinner. I didn't have to dust, clear surfaces, or empty shelves. The girls tackled it all. Jaqy and Michelle arrived promptly at 2:00 p.m. and wasted no time getting down to their dirty business. With environmentally-friendly cleaning products, some house-made, they eradicated grease, busted dust and annihilated odors. They don't have a lot of fancy cleaning gadgets. They get everything done with dusters, rags, paper towels, and a small shop vac. They washed the dishes, scrubbed every surface (including the floors), and thoroughly cleaned the inside of our oven and fridge. (Yes, even the fridge!) In addition, the Dirty Girls organized our shelves, cleaned out our cabinets, got rid of expired goods, and even wiped down all of the bottles, tins and containers in our cluttered pantry. Throughout the cleaning, the girls were very respectful of our home, our property and our cats. Since the girls offer a "first hour free" discount to members of SBB (Small Business Beanstalk), the end cost was less than we had expected to pay. Bonus! What an amazing team! Kayla and "Uncle Bob" took on a huge task for me last minute. I had called…read morefrom out of state to go over and do some emergency deep cleaning and help my mom work on the house overall to get ready for a family member coming over next week after the original cleaning service I had hired unfortunately could not find the help needed to do the task. My mom is older, and has been unable to really work on her house since she bought it last year, and was very stressed. The team quickly responded to my request for help, and agreed to doing it the next day! They set a time, of which they showed up precicely, and ended up working for about 6 hours.
