Since my childhood I have battled with self esteem issues that led to making emotional food choices. It was a constant battle inside my head. I wanted to be healthy, but I was always drawn to all the bad food when I was having an emotional time. This lead to a constant circle of ups and downs. I was also in a very bad marriage for 25 years where my spouse constantly told me how bad I was and filled my head with very negative visions of myself. I also had extreme caregiver stress and burnout from taking care of my sick Mother. I saw their ad on the internet and read about the 5 step process and though...why not? What do I have to lose. When I first met Dr. O, he was calm, reassuring and easy to talk to. I didn't know what to expect and he put my mind at ease right off the bat. I thought I would be "asleep", but that was the furthest from the truth. I was in a very deep state of relaxation. After my 1st session, I still thought about my "bad cravings", but I was able to move on with little effort and choose better foods. I started having cravings for "grapes". After each session my cravings lessened and lessened until I really wasn't even thinking about them. My stress at night started to subside and I was able to rest throughout the night. When situations would happen with my Mother and her care, I didn't become overwhelmed, I just "looked at the big picture" as I was told by Dr. O and was able to handle it without getting overwhelmed. Dr. O instilled in me a very good rule...you probably know it already...Accept the things I cannot change --- Change the things I can & know the difference between the two. It seems so easy, but when you have years of chaos built up in your subconscious, it's hard to do. I have recommended this facility and Dr. O to anyone I think it might help.
