My poor 5 year old had been through so much in a short span of 5 months. 3 different schools, that the district recommended to get the correct placement for him!! You know how exhausting and scary that was for my son. He's still a baby! Anyhow came to this awful school only to have my son traumatized and mistreated the first day of school!!!!!!!! The teacher came to talk to my son to introduce herself in the morning while standing in line outside. My husband was on the phone finishing up a call, when he realized in the corner of his eye, the teacher on knee level grabbing my son viciously by his chin and said "look at me when I speak to you"!!!!!!!!! My son, as well as many others that have autism, struggle to make eye contact! She of all people should know that!!! But I guess not, this school just hires anyone! If she had the proper training she would know how to treat and approach children with autism and be patient and understanding! Heres the other kicker, the principal had her back, no consequences, no punishment what so ever for her teacher. They give consequences to all kids there, even with autism but oh NO! NOT THERE CoWORKERS! She made many excuses saying that she didn't mean it and a bunch of bs. Im like how do you know she did not mean it you were not there!!!! And stop speaking for a grown woman, you do not need to make excuses for her disgusting disrespectful behavior! Imagine what goes on behind those doors, where they are vulnerable without their parent to help them communicate No patience, or understanding for them, just anger low patience, aggression and hostility for those poor children. Horrible school do not send your child to a school like this, that can let abuse happen and look the other way! Teachers, principals, and even yard duty can be bullies too!

All the line are new and get repainting regularly. There are two level and 8 courts which is amazing! Net are straight and solid, brand new too. Basketball court get used often. Net are sometime ripped but it get replace so no complaint. Lot of courts and dual level as well. Rim are not bent or crooked. Always people here playing for pickup game. I play often on weekdays and weekend and there is always enough court for everyone. Football field ... it is locked up during weekend. Just up the fence .. everyone does it. The reason it is lock up is because their field are AMAZING ... so AMAZING. I play flag football and it so easy running on the field. Getting tackle and slam to the ground does even hurt much ... love this field. Note: NO BATHROOM ... tennis, go behind the wall between bball and tennis. basketball, same as tennis. football, under the bleacher.

The playgrounds are well kept, and the parent club organizes some of the best fundraisers I've ever experienced. They want every child and every parent to enjoy the involved family experience. El Toro is voted one of the BEST schools in Morgan Hill and luck to have family attending this awesome school. I have read the bad reviews, however, I have only seen the opposite. The staff in the office were very welcoming and patient in pointing me in the right direction. Today the school is having an end of the year barbecue for students, staff, volunteers and families. All the food looked good and the burgers were big and well prepared. They had lots of veggies and fresh fruit to choose from and for dessert they had a selection of delicious looking cookies. Kids enjoyed their barbecue lunch mingled with friends and then they were off for the summer.

The outdoor pool is decent, sun-drenched and used for their swim team and coaching leased to companies like Fitter and Faster swim training. The aluminum bleachers were unforgiving: I felt every minute of the 3 hours I sat waiting. (Oof, my back!) The campus was lively even on the weekends with kids using the basketball and tennis courts. With their facilities, seems like a very sporty junior and high school.

The values this school holds kids to are something that is missing from other schools in the area. They have a zero tolerance level and I am thankful for that. The communication between parent and teacher is outstanding. If there were any issues with my kids I received an email or phone call right away. Teachers recognized when my boys were struggling in ELA and offered to place in an after school tutoring program to work on their weaknesses. Just recently when I wouldn't just accept that they railroaded me with a surprise meeting in which they talked about how they can't handle my son right in front of him, they decided to take it even father. I won't go in to specifics, but unless you want to comply with their ridiculous standards for looks, not for academics, be prepared to have your whole world changed. These people have done nothing but judge me and my son and it's wrong. I can't wait to be done with this school. My son's teacher went on maternity leave early on and the woman that subbed for her was just incompetent and I feel as though she's partially why my son is now academically stunted. She wasn't sending home more than 2 sheets of homework and didn't know how to properly discipline my son and another boy who don't get along. My son has picked up on the fact that if he's disruptive, they'll send him to the office and he takes advantage of it because they talk and laugh and joke with him which he loves. I'm just really sick of the fake, catty, judgemental stuff and hope the end of the year comes quickly.
