I've been a patient at OSG since July 2016 after a terrible car accident (100% other driver's fault…read moreon I95 rear-end collision with my car) for which I'm still in treatment. I've had wonderful care by the doctors, their staff and the chiropractor I've been treated by at OSG. However, I've had horrible, horrible, HORRIBLE treatment by administrative staff, most especially Billing Dept staff. Now, I have insurance covering the majority of my care so all I had were copays which I maxed out the out-of-pocket by mid-year, each year. Being unable to work, unemployment running out, and waiting for a disability determination and food stamps, I lost my job, my home and finally my apartment in December 2017. I explained this to the Billing Dept (I owed less than $300) that I was now living in my car in Winter and getting $25 gift cards to buy gas and food from my social services counselor. I desperately needed reports sent from my doctors to my attorney so he could negotiate a settlement in my case and I could hopefully afford a modest apartment and living expenses. I assured them they would be paid ANY outstanding bills as I still needed continued care. THE STAFF IN THE BILLING DEPARTMENT REFUSED TO RELEASE ANY REPORTS UNTIL MY BILL WAS PAID. I needed to see my doctor for an appointment which they allowed me to do WHEN I PAID HALF OF WHAT I OWED AT THAT TIME. It is now March 16, 2018 and the Billing Dept. still HAS NOT RELEASED MY DOCTORS' REPORTS. I am still living in my car and my health continues to deteriorate and my situation to worsen. I received $16 a month from the State of CT to live on which I'm appealing and I'm still waiting on disability determination. It's still Winter and it is very cold living in a car. I potentially could have been living in a warm space if my lawyer could have worked out a settlement before the end of 2017, BUT HE DIDN'T HAVE THE REPORTS FROM THE OSG DOCTORS. THE ONLY DOCUMENTATION MISSING AND STANDING IN HIS WAY IN MOVING FORWARD ON MY BEHALF. The doctors are great, but BEWARE, the Administrative Staff, i.e. Billing have Hearts of Stone. No Compassion. No Empathy. These People Should Not Work For Any Healthcare Agency--Ever!!!

Worst experience I have ever had at a medical facility, including the time I almost had my leg…read moreamputated. With the exception of one nurse who walked me to the 2nd of 3 different buildings(!) I had to go to to get 1 MRI, I did not encounter a single worker who was not smug, condescending and inconsiderate. Every request was phrased as a demand, every decision made for me. When I apologized to the MRI tech for being anxious to get off the table at the end of the test, I said "I'm sorry, but my ankle with the metal plate and screws in it was killing me from holding it in that position." Her response "Thats something you should have told me." To which I reminded her "Actually, I believe my exact words before that last set of test was 'I'm in a lot of pain from holding this position." I was met with complete silence. Now, Yale-New Haven is obviously a great hospital. And I'm sure that for actual patient care, this is where you want to be. But if you're just having some tests done: go literally anywhere else.

Prolete was one of a number of physical therapy practices recommended following my knee replacement…read moresurgery. I called about 2 weeks before I was to start and the receptionist complained to me that my doctor should have told me to call sooner as they had no openings. We agreed that I could go for my initial evaluation and consult to their Hamden facility (near the tunnel on the Merritt Parkway), and then I could do my follow up appointments in Milford. I completed online all my paper work, scheduled the initial assessment and then heard nothing. When I called them for my Milford appointments, they told me they did not have any and I would need to continue with Hamden. This is a trek from Milford and I was 2 weeks post op and unable to drive yet. Luckily, I was able to find another practice in Milford that was able to see me when I needed to begin. Not impressed.

I've been to physical therapy for about two years. If it wasn't for Keith I'd still be on my couch…read more He's made me stronger, more confident and has taken away most of my pain. This gentleman is compassionate and very personable. I would highly recommend him to anybody in my family. He's the best, and I've been to many physical therapy agencies . I have had many surgeries in the past. I've had two fusions in the back, five knee operations, and one neck operation for the spine. Thanks to Keith, I can still ride a bicycle, go to the gym, and golf. I'm 82 years old and as active as I was in my 60's. If I need care in the future I would definitely go back to Prolete Physical Therapy. Carl W
